We went in to the store and asked because it was after three and found out there is an admission booth further down on the field. We made our way down there and paid the admission and were each given a small bag to pick apples. Most of them were roped off except for the last few rows. In the way to that they had some really cute photo opps in a Zinnia field and in a sunflower field. The lady in the store yelled at my son in law for standing by a rope to look at the cider. Other than a few missteps, we thought it was worth the trip. The only downfall is there was no food to eat except for snacks. The donuts are only on Sat. And Sunday.

We didn't realize that there were so many different varieties and we didn't realize how big this place is. We explored the orchard and took a look at all the animals they have. They have a beautiful little pond with a creek. They even have a bunch of farm equipment throughout the farm with information on what it is and how it's used on a farm. Really cool! They also have a really cool playground area for the kids! The staff here are really helpful and friendly. They have great apple cider and apple cider donuts and other treats! You're not allowed into the orchard unless you have,and pay for a bag or two. Each person has to have their own bag which, I think is a little overkill. There are two different sizes, small and large. Maybe because it was late in the season the Orchards were pretty picked over. Especially the second Orchard Way in the back that you had to walk quite a ways to get to. There were no discernible good apples there. We were very disappointed. So we went back to the first fenced in Orchard. There are tables outside and two modern farmhouse type buildings where you can get snacks by donuts. They are both adorable. They have a beautiful little walkway up to the Orchard with a swing and a bench. We would go back. But I would probably go back earlier in the season. Nonetheless, the apples were absolutely delicious! Shadow to the employee who let us carry one small bag because of health issues. The first place that you go to to get the bags would not allow it. So, I just wanted to give him credit for being so kind.

It's super busy in the weekends in the fall, and over the years they've added more, such as music, hot drinks and snacks, and did I see a corn maze this year? In addition to apples, you can pick pumpkins and buy squash. Plus there are plants and herbs in the spring and summer. We pick a variety of apples as well as purchase some honey crisps from the store. Really love coming here and recommend it!

We were several adults and were approached by four different employees with instructions on how to hold our bags, how to pick, where to pick even though rows have colored ribbons to direct you. It might have made sense if we would've had unruly kids in our party but that was not the case. Honestly, it was just odd and not worth the 40 min. drive. So sad because I love their apples. I think if they're that uncomfortable with people walking around picking apples, they should consider becoming a commercial orchard and not open it to the public. Maybe it's coming from a good place of trying to manage their property but again, we were simply walking down isles. FYI: The apple cider donuts are fantastic so you could just go in their store and get them and already-bagged apples and save yourself the lesson on to hold a bag.

They had a good selection of nice trees and the prices were reasonable based on our experience the last few years. The people were very friendly. They offered directions around and where to ask if we needed help. They offered to wrap the tree and carry it to our truck if we wanted. They even offered us a complimentary bag of popcorn. It looks like they had a nice area for wreaths if you wanted that. It looks like they had some rides available for little kids and there was a roaring bonfire. Our highlight was meeting with the manager "Smokey"! He gave us a nice tour of the trees and was up for pets at any moment.

After 3 years of buying from the Stout Farm, i cannot in good faith use them anymore. Willing to…read morepay more, but not for less. Last purchase included 2 ribeye steaks and hamburger meat. Using my, certified scale, when i got home, i found the hamburger was as it said, 1 lb. Each. But when the Ribeyes were looked at, there is no weight on the packaging. Along with that when weighed, one was 1/2 lb. The other 5/8 lb. Neither weight was the issue, it was the fact @ $20.49 a pound, the price point was not adjusted and paid FULL price for each. The old thumb on the scale trick may have worked this time, but one and done is how our budget flys. Cannot recommend Stout Farm ever again.
