Not sure what they're charging dealers to set up (that could have something to do with it). I have attended twice this year. Last weekend the weather was perfect. Not worth driving about an hour to see the same 70 or so dealers that you can see at most of the other flea markets. I would guess that maybe 20 percent or less of the dealer spaces were filled. Don't see any reason to go back to this flea market, It's a shame, this used to be one of my favorites.

There are every type of vegetables you would want for your home cooking. There are also many specialty products you can browse. Many of the speciality vendors will offer you samples of their products before you buy. I particularly like Cesars Cheese. They are a great local cheesemaker and have the best string cheese I have ever had. And please support the local businesses on main Street while you are there. Get a coffee or a sandwich and keep browsing. If you like locally produced products, then you will be happy that you came to the West Bend farmers market.

There is…read morea home grown rule at this market and if someone complains you are inspected and can be kicked out. I'm a vendor there so know. And yes some people HAVE been kicked out. Personally we buy used boxes we put our zucchini in and often even use them on the display. The boxes fit in our cooler better than the black crates. As far as the fruit, that is 1 exception. There is 1 or 2 vendors that have permission to get fruit from the Michigan produce markets while that fruit is not in season in Wisconsin.

Prices are reasonable and people are friendly. They don't hang on you as you look around, either.

It was basically like a stall at a farmer's market, but I understand that when there isn't a quarantine it's a little more elaborate. Didn't see the fields where the garlic is planted though. There was a cute little garden to walk through. If you want more cute pics go across Q to Spectacular Sculpture. Staff was super friendly and helpful, and all wore masks. Masks were required for customers too. Most of the customers seemed like they'd been coming for years. I plan to join them.

Its heavy attended volume is well deserved; lots of interesting stalls line the ground floor, from coffee and candy to bbq and Thai. I wouldn't say it could replace regular grocery shopping; it's more like a fancy spot to shop for artisan goods like cured meats, sweet treats, baked goods, and other accoutrement. Plenty of seating on the open second floor (also a good spot to take photos of the market) if you want to eat there; otherwise grab some delicious food to go and enjoy the surrounding neighborhood!

That was perfect since we were only going to be there for a few minutes while we had some shaved ice. The market offers everything from cheese, seafood, pasta etc. as well as many restaurants to choose from. We were in the mood for something cold on a hot summer day and Chillwaukee hit the spot. We finished our shaved ice and headed back to our car. We thought we had plenty of time to make it out of the parking lot in less than 30 minutes. When we got in the line to exit there were only 4 cars ahead of us with 5 minutes left of time. No problem, I thought. I was wrong. When it was my turn to exit I was told I had to pay for an hour of parking even though we were only over by a few seconds!! When I explained that I had been in line for 5 minutes, the attendant said that the same thing had happened to other customers before me and that there was nothing he could do about it. I would agree if I had shown up one minute late and there was no line to leave. Other than the parking situation, I enjoyed my short visit to the market.
