As soon as I walked into the office I was greeted with a warm smile by everyone there and the interior was so clean and modern. I needed an implant for my upper tooth so I've been visiting different dentists to get the best quote/treatment plans but I ended up going with Dr. Chung because after some research, I found out not all implants are the same! At first I was tempted to go to the cheapest option but later I learned that's not the way to go when it comes to your teeth. Lol Dr. Chung doesn't seem to cut corners when it comes to the quality of materials used in his procedures. The materials he used for my implant was made from Switzerland and the cost of the procedure wasn't even that much more than the other dental office I went to. In fact, the final total ended up being lower because he didn't make me do all the other unnecessary treatments that the other office made me do. Overall, my experience at Lansdowne Dental Arts was extremely pleasant and I learned so much! Dr. Chung and his team were professional and knowledgeable, and I felt like I was in good hands throughout my visit. I feel as though this place scammed me. I spent thousands of dollars here in a span of about a year. I haven't had cavities since I was a child and when I showed up here the first time I was told I had 6. I thought ok no big deal I haven't been in a while. They also told me I have gingivitis. Ok, so I'll get that taken care of too. This is where things got questionable. They kept giving me things/doing things BEFORE telling me it was going to cost extra. They also made me take care of it all over several appointments instead of one so I had to pay for numbing and copay multiple times. I didn't freak out yet because I'm not a dentist and I don't know how these things have to be handled. But every single time I went back there was something else to fix. Furthermore every single time my billing was "wrong". I would pay and every time I went back they would say I actually still owe them a couple hundred dollars. I visited about 10 times in just over a year. I have never had issues with my teeth ever. But ever since getting all this work done, my teeth are EXTREMELY sensitive to cold and hot and they never were before. And get this. Their periodontist came in and told me I needed to have my wisdom teeth out sooner rather than later. So I made an appointment and he cancelled on me because he had scheduled someone else. He never called back to reschedule. Well two years later and one tooth has come through completely with no pain or problems. The others haven't even moved. I would have paid over $1000 for the surgery that I didn't need! Granted I know I will need the others out eventually, but don't tell me I need to get them out soon when they aren't even going to pose a problem. I hear they are under new management and I have not been back to check them out so hopefully they are better. But we have already found a new dentist because I feel cheated and ripped off and feel like my teeth have been ruined. So thanks Lansdowne. Update: New dentist confirmed that I don't really need to have my wisdom teeth out! They were just trying to get my money! New dentist also has to redo two fillings that Lansdowne did because they are messed up. read more

Dr. Chung did the filling and a crown on a tooth that I have not had any issue. After the crown, that he made it himself in the office, I started having pain and I ended up having root canal and that time I realized Dr. Chung had used very low quality material for the crown. I have paid lot of money and still not feeling well on that tooth. very disappointed. read more

Dr . Chung was our dentist for a couple years. I can honestly say he does great job with implants. Dental extractions I felt he was horrible. Across the board he was just an ok dentist. His staff did an extremely poor job of billing. We were over charged hundreds more than we owed. They wanted even more more monies but we built an accounting chart to prove our actual amount owed. Eventually we were able to settle for proper amount but it was extremely frustrating as his staff had quick turn over. Dr Chung is a nice person and hopefully he now has stable staff able to bill properly. read more

The staff is very friendly, the place is impecable and Dr Taylor is very good... so what's the problem? Billing. I understand that a great service will always cost a little more and I'm okay with that, but my experience here was unfortunately about hidden charges and very fishy billing practices. I got a crown put in and when I got the bill I saw a weird $250 charge that wasn't sent to my insurance for "lab fee", then I compared what my insurance said I had to pay them against what I actually paid it seemed I paid around $180 more than I should (on top of those $250 that weren't even submitted) and after I did the same with my wife's visit the amount went up to around $260. When I called to clear this up they first said they were going to take care of it and send me a check, but then they called me back saying that after reviewing the bills, it turned out that my wife saw a specialist that was out of my insurance network (which they didn't mention at the time) and that after applying what they owed me to the specialist's fee I still owed around $70 but they were "willing to let it go". It all sounded extremely fishy (specially since my wife saw the specialist about 3 months ago and I only hear about it now?) so I decided to just cut my loses and take my business elsewhere. I would recommend that if you visit Lansdowne Dental Arts please ask for complete details of the services provided and look over them very carefully. UPDATE: On 07/17/2014 I got a letter from Dr Jun Chung, who is now the new owner of the place, apologizing for the $250 "lab fee" and explaining that the dental practice is under new management and he had nothing to do with the previous billing practices. He sent me a refund for that fee which I found nice of him, but I'm not happy that I had to make a public complaint to get that taken care of while my complaint at his office didn't have any effect (and yes, it was already under his management when I complained). Bottom line it was nice and the right thing to do so I'm adding one star to my review. I met Dr Chung on my last appointment there and he stroke me as a good person so I hope he makes sure these issues don't happen anymore. read more

He seems to be truly interested in you, taking the time to get to know you, which i appreciated, as like most people, I am apprehensive about my dental trips. I am very impressed with the level of professionalism and customer service I received last December from Dr. Chung and his staff. I called right before the holidays regarding my 6 year old daughter's two bottom front teeth that were impacted by her baby teeth. Dr. Chung was willing to arrive to work earlier than planned the next morning just to squeeze in an appointment for my daughter. I was SO relieved she wouldn't be in pain all during the holidays. He gave her shots and extracted her two teeth so gently and painlessly. She didn't cry or flinch. Whew! And as a reward for her bravery, he and his staff gave her a Christmas gift - a very cute stuffed animal and headband. What a surprise! And as a girl who loves cute gifts, she was beyond joy. This was a great trip to the dentist. I've been there twice now and they've been very friendly and good with my kids.
