I did love this office for the first few visits. On Nov 11/24/2020 they told me my job's dental coverage was doubled and booked me for a number of appointments (none immediately necessary) I took the appointments as they said I would have EXTRA money this year from my dental insurance. Then I go in for this work that again is not needed immediately and they give me a 243.00$ bill and state they made an error when looking at how much dental coverage I actually had and that the miscalculated and the rest would be available until January. Remember they are the ones who told me "you have extra money from your coverage so we should take care of procedure X, Y, and Z before your money goes to waste. overall they did me dirty I called 11/25/2020 tell let them know there was no way I would pay for a service when I only got it because they said the money would go to waste if not used. I could have waited until 1/2021 (my dental insurance renews and I get a new batch of funds)and got the same service for free that was done on 11/24/2020. Upon calling on 11/25/2020 I was then told the bill was adjusted to 25$, I advised that was much more reasonable and I would pay the next visit. Then on 12/14/2020, I get a bill from the office in the mail again for the 243.00$. I have called they have been little to no help. I was put on hold for 15 mins for notes to be reviewed only to get an incomplete response. I am now told I will be contacted back in the next few days by a manager. This is ASHAMED they told me I had extra money, they suggested services to be completed to use the extra money, then they come back apologizing for the error in information but still want me to pay a bill that I didn't need to get. Again, on 1/2021 State employees get additional dental insurance so I could have waited. I did attempt to resolve this via phone with the office on two occasions. once 11/25 (I was told the bill had been adjusted and I only owed a 25$ co-pay) Then on 12/15 when I received the bill for 234$ rather than 25$. Jenny i believe was the one i spoke with who left me on hold 17 mins to review the notes then came back and said someone would call me back later this week. That is not acceptable, I was wrongly billed and want it resolved promptly i should not be ignored it should be handled. Again, I had great experiences at this office until this incident now I'm extremely disappointed in the service i am receiving and the lack of attention to my issue. At this point I have contacted the Attorney General Consumer protection department to get involved because what happened it unacceptable. Its one thing to estimate someone cost of service at this office flat out told me I had money in my dental account to spend that just was not there at all. They were wrong and scheduled me appointment to spend all the funds before my insurance renews in January. UPDATE: ROBIN/RHONDA FROM THE OFFICE CALLED AND THEY CORRECTED ALL BILLING AND MY BALANCE IS NOW 0$. I APPRECIATE THAT THEY RESOLVED THE ISSUE AND HONORED WHAT I WAS TOLD. I have been a client with this office since 2011 or 2012. Today July 28, 2026 they have lost me as a client. 1) They scheduled me for a tooth extraction on 7-15-2026, an HOUR prior to my appointment they called me to tell me that they scheduled me with a dentist that DOES NOT do extractions. But I could come in to check the fractured tooth checked again, have my bridge removed, and refer me to a specialist to have the tooth removed. Why would I have you remove my bridge to have exposed roots!! I ended up calling a dentist office in Grand Rapids. They were so kind and amazing. They got me that morning and removed my tooth. Had a filling put in, came out the same day. Went in and got consulted and booked for an extraction then took the day off for the extractions only to find out that they weren't in the office, I got no heads up call and took the day off no pay.... oh yea they knew about the missing filling , still didn't fix it after doing a horrible job to begin with. Half of your appointments get rescheduled, the front office has no clue of what's going on, totally out of sync with the dental staff. Very unprofessional. When this was Dr Hagerty's practice customer service and care were of utmost importance. And they WERE outstanding. They were understanding of my disability and how it affects my ability to attend office visits. Lansing Elite Dentistry IS NOT the same place. Do to complications with my disability I was late for an appointment, but within their stated grace period. I had even called to notify them I was running late. When I arrived, again within their stated grace period, I was denied care. That is absolutely unacceptable. I had asked to speak with someone about this and was told I'd be called the next day. I still have not heard from anyone in their office. This is also absolutely unacceptable. In fact, it appears they attempted to discredit a review left on another site by suggesting I wasn't a patient. If you have anxiety or are disabled, or if you value your time and expect to have your concerns as a patient addressed, I'd suggest looking elsewhere read more

Went there for my wisdom tooth extraction. Biggest s*** show I've ever encountered. Never been more left in the dark and uninformed about a surgery. Later on to have two infected sockets and a shard of bone poking through my gums. Never given syringe to rinse or proper care items. Called to schedule a follow up appointment to only be told that it is normal. Completely dismissed and uncared for by office staff. Called again the two weeks later to let them know that the problem is persisting and is indeed not normal. Unprofessional surgical doctors AND office staff. Never coming back. Dealt with Dr. Dew and numerous office lady's all of which were not above average. read more

Very questionable billing & rude office staff. They will not return the $50 they charged me as my patient portion. My Aetna dental paid for everything. I only found out by accident. I'm not happy with this facility at all because of the very bad experience I had with them. First appointment a few weeks ago, found out I have a cyst under one back tooth. Instead of seeing the dentist, his assistant came to me to explain the dentist was too busy to see me. Tooth has to be pulled. I made an appointment. Went for the appointment, checked in and waited. Thirty minutes passed. I went to the desk and asked if I was going to have to wait a long time. The receptionist told me that I would have to wait longer or I could reschedule. Well, No Thank You! I would give a Zero rating if able. These are the most uncaring, uncompassionate and unethical of any dental practice I have ever used. It took 10 days post treatment of complaining of pain of "9" on 1-10 scale which I described to them as classic root canal pain ( I know I've had before) to finally get a referral to endodontic specialist for treatment. This was after making appointment they failed to call and cancel with me when Dr. Dahl called in sick for the day because the RDA felt it was in her wheelhouse to waste my time, have me come in so she could diagnose and treat ( without my consent after she failed to identify herself to me or WEAR A MASK) which is out of her scope of practice (illegal). They dug in their heels, never simply saying I'm sorry your in pain, instead insisted at next visit, when doctor was in (10 days after initial drilling) that I had a "bite issue". If I knew it was root canal issue why didn't the doctor? Dr. Dahl said " I don't know why your in pain.. maybe a ligament around the tooth." I ended up with an Emergency Root Canal which instantly resolved my pain and suffering, thankful the specialist office saw my significant pain as unacceptable and emergency which they fit me in for within hours. Don't fall for their marketing or first visit impression of being competent. It's a rouse read all the reviews guaranteed you will regret going to this practice. There is a very good reason they advertise with enticing coupons to get new patients, they are not capable of keeping a loyal clientele because they are hacks!!!! read more

They never answer their phone and even if they had voice mail, I doubt they listen to it. They want to sell you expensive dental treatments but won't help set up financing or payments plans. It's a good thing there are a dozen other dentists on St. Joe to choose from. read more

I do NOT recommend. Staff is incompetent in billing/quoting. Their incompetence cost me $341.80 over what they quoted me. I took my 5 and 11 year old here to try them out. I am an employee of the State of Michigan. We have pretty good insurance. After my children had their cleanings we were presented with a quote. I was ok with the quote at that time. I brought them back to have their cavities fixed. I paid my quoted portion. I got a bill today for $341.80 from them. I called the office and Erin didn't know why I was billed and was going to look into it. She called me back and explained to me my insurance didn't pay the full amount submitted. I asked her why and she did not know. I asked her if she called my insurance company to find out and if it needed to be rebilled. She told me she hadn't done that yet. I said "so you are telling me you were not gonna call to find out until I just said something?" I told her to give me the insurance companies number and I would call myself. The insurance company told me that the filling they put in my children's teeth were porcelain and not metal. They aren't a covered benefit. He also told me the cost that the dentist charged the company was above average. So now I have an outrageous bill. The teeth that had fillings put in were baby teeth and not teeth in the front. I cancelled all future appointments for my 3 children and myself. I am transferring out to a different dentist. I do not recommend this over priced facility. read more

When I first started being seen here for dental care everyone was great. From the front office staff to the dentist, I set up regular visits to get some repair work done. The biller must count using her fingers and none of the billing office staff including the senior biller know what they are doing. I was over charged and when I called them out on it the "senior biller" in the side office got a nasty attitude, it didn't matter what I said she would talk over me which is very unprofessional and rude especially when I had a numb mouth and could barely speak! The lady lacked class and common sense and her attitude about the mistakes proved it. The guys in the back have the best attitudes and dispositions and even if you don't enjoy the dentist they are fun to chat with. All the male dentists are fabulous here. I have read billing complaints on other sites about this office and now I see why. I refuse to argue with uneducated people, I will dispute the claim with delta and have them give them a billing lesson while I cash my refund check! For future reference, if you're grown, act like it! If you made a mistake, admit it! When you're nasty because you're wrong and got caught, apologize! Being ghetto doesn't give the office a good review or give you new patient referrals! read more
