First I would like to say that the place is small and dainty. Now it was during lunch time and was only 2 tables occupied but it wasn't very clean where we were seated. One word that comes to mind is fresh. The fried rice is my absolute favorite. It has great flavor and is cooked perfectly. The Tillery Roll was also delicious and easily one of the best rolls I have had locally. Kirstin was an amazing server and kept our drinks full the entire time. She also has a great personality which made the experience even better. Dinner for two was a little pricey at around $60 for two hibachi chicken meals and one roll, but you truly get what you pay for. The quality is worth it and it is much better than other local sushi restaurants. We keep coming back and every time it is delicious. read more

Service was awful, food was good, we had five adults and one child in our party. Waitress brought drinks to table and the beer still had the pop top on the beer had to flag her down to open. Waitress took order and had to repeat back to her three times in order to get it correct. Once food arrived (took three trips at 4 minutes between first and last trip) we did not see the waitress until we were finished eating with drinks being empty half way through dinner (never received drink refills). After asking for boxes for takeout she came to the table with an electronic device to show the tab amount then took payment and returned with the ticket with a tip amount on it. I tipped 15% due to the terrible service only to find out later after doing the math that she had already put a 20% tip on the bill without letting us know. It was not on the electronic device nor the receipt. Very sketchy to not let the customers know that 20% tip has been added nor no signs anywhere as to automatically adding tip for parties of 6. read more

A party of 5 adults and 3 kids under 7 went to eat here tonight. A lot of high tables but they put together a long table for us to accommodate the kids. Service was spot on. Food was fresh and delicious! Highly recommend coming here for hibachi, teriyaki and sushi! Fair pricing, parking in the back. We will be coming back! Kids are French fries and chicken nuggets. Three of us went for the first time today. Everyone liked their sushi. Ambience was nice too. Only gave 4 stars because it's expensive. The sushi is more expensive than many solid sushi places in Raleigh and Charlotte. Even with the price this might be my favorite restaurant in the Lake Tillery area. read more

The sushi and food here is FANTASTIC and some of the best we have had! On par with a NYC restaurant. We were traveling this weekend from Raleigh area to visit family and came on a Friday night. Very creative and extensive menu rolls. We had the Mango, Philadelphia, Shrimp Tempura, Godzilla and Alaska rolls - WOW! The appetizers and house ginger dressing salad delicious too. Was told a 30-45 minute wait for Togo hibachi chicken and sushi. Order placed at 6:14pm. Show up at 7pm to pick up my food to be told it was still going to be another 30 minutes. The place wasn't super "busy" by any means. I gave it 3 try's and it got 3 strikes for absolutely disregarding a timely enjoyable experience. I tried dine-in twice with both experiences taking well over a hour from the time we ordered until we got our food. (2 people at the table both times) mind you the place wasn't super busy then either and the wait was explained as "lots of call in orders" both times while we never seen more than 2 orders picked up. worst part is the foods good... and I was really looking forward to a better experience since It was undoubtedly going to be a much more timely experience since call in orders out prioritize the dine-in customers as communicated from the wait staff while dining in! Unfortunately I guess today the dine-in customers took a priority. Of course just my luck! So needless to say as I'm typing this I'm still hungry as I never picked up my order after telling them another 30 minutes for a total of a hour and a half was far to long of a wait. read more
