The combo plate was generous and beautifully presented. Service on Sunday was a little rough -- they had just opened and were clearly still getting into gear -- but honestly, the food made up for it and I wasn't in a rush to hold it against them. Wild Rice is a solid, unpretentious neighborhood sushi spot with great prices and fresh fish. For Fairfield, it punches above its weight. What made the experience worse was the lack of apology or urgency from the staff, especially since the restaurant wasn't even busy. Then they said they only start taking reservations later in the day, which was never explained on the phone. The communication was confusing and inconsistent. Overall, between the unfair portions, messed-up orders, and poor service, this place really let us down.
