Emergency out of state for 4 days and two weeks of snow/ice doesn't equate to two months past my scheduled pick up date. I'm mortified that I did not lay my Holly to rest appropriately. First, I called a different service that said they'd call me back. They never did. I called and spoke to Deb at Affordable and the first thing she said was how sorry she was for my loss and arranged an appointment that very day to bring my kitty in. The gentleman who checked us in was just as kind and caring. He showed me how Lizzie would be returned to me and again expressed condolences. A neighbor recommended Middletown Animal Clinic and it was like 'coming home.' Dr. Stephanie and Dr. McReynolds give top-notch care with utmost compassion. The receptionist is so caring and works hard to keep things moving. When back-ups occur, she is quick to apprise those who are waiting about the situation in a courteous and kind manner. The vet techs/assistants are just as caring and compassionate as the docs. The office is small, with no actual waiting area, so you phone them from your car and wait to be called inside. The exam rooms (entire building) are older and in dire need of updating (dated wallpaper, flooring, dusty and cluttered shelving), but newer equipment is present. I feel the place could use a deep cleaning and some cosmetic changes. However, what the office lacks in appearance, it more than makes up for with compassionate, knowledgeable veterinarians and staff. I will take that trade off any day! The office is located on Main Street in the heart of 'Historic Middletown.' There are 6-7 parking spaces in the front of the building, but street parking is also available up and down the street.

I never worry about my pets while I am away - even though some of them are difficult to care for (like my iguana) - because Kelley really knows what she's doing. When Sit-Stay-Play watches my pets, I get home and everything is super clean and organized just like I would have done it. And best of all, my pets are happy and healthy. Before I found Kelley I would get home from a trip to stressed-out pets that would be glued to me the rest of the day. My bird would scream her head off. Aas we all know pets become a part of our family and I Have a 22 pound Tom cat name Mel and had…read moretaken him to Cicero Veterinary Clinic before with decent results Recently he had quit eating regulary so I called them and set up an appointment He was treated and some blood work was needed and with the results they said Mel was diabedic and they gave him some ointment to rub on his ear that was to increase his appitite and insulin for diabedis my total bill was over $400 which was a small price to pay for a family member However after applying the ointment like instructed for 3 days his appitite had not increased and I could not give him any insulin so I called them back after being put on hold the receptionist instructed me to take him to a 24 hour Vetenairy clinic and that was being thrown under the bus after I had already paid over 400 seemed liked they did not care this was not at the end of the day this was at 230 in the afternoon there normal business hours they are open to 6PM which gave ample time to see him sometime before they close I don't know what there problem is there I know I will never visit them again under any circumance by the way I do not complain much I joinrd Yelp just to post this

The staff was so friendly and of course Shadow was his charming self until it came to the exam lol. They were gentle with him and gave him plenty of treats afterwards . His Doctor was friendly and very enthusiastic about Shadow being in such good shape . He has nice teeth , clean ears, clear lungs . Knowing all of this made me relax more. He got a clean bill of health with the exception that he's FIV positive. Shadow is the only cat in our house and he's strictly a indoor cat. Even with that he can and will live a full life . One of the ladies did agree with me that he looks like he's part Russian Blue. In terms of cost the initial exam was free because we adopted him from LHS . I did pay for some additional testing and I think it was a fair price . Shadow does have pet insurance for those just in case moments hopefully they'll be none of those. Shadow will continue to to there for check ups and future shots .
