My dress was cleaned as requested. There were no stains or foul odors for them to deal with. Just needed to be cleaned. We were surprised at the cost. $17 we have not used a cleaner in Colorado so we are not sure if that is average or pricey. We will be going somewhere else to see prices and service. I got a bunch of men's ties from my family's estate. I washed the polyester ties myself but had to take the eleven silk ties to a dry cleaner. Lapels is across the street from the grocery store so I went there. A week later I picked them up. The ties were cleaned, pressed, and packaged. They look new. On a few occasions when I haven't given much direction when dropping things off, they always call to see how I want my pants creased. So nice! I've had really bad experiences with specialty items I took to them, including fur and leather pieces. Dry cleaners don't typically clean these types of items in-house, they send them out to a specialist, so it takes a week or two for them to come back. Which is fine, I've come to expect that. I dropped off leather pants and a fur vest and the date they told me for pick-up was two or three weeks later. So I came in on the date they told me and my items weren't back yet. They told me that was just an estimation and they'd call me when they were ready to be picked up. Ok, fine, I figure it might take another week or so. Fast forward another month and a half and more inquiries by me about when I would get my items back, and finally they're ready. So at this point, it's two months after I originally dropped them off. To me, an "estimation" of when they'll be back means within a week or two of the date they tell me, not well over a month later. No other dry cleaning place I've ever been to has taken more than two weeks to get my fur and leather pieces back to me, even accounting for the fact that they also send them out to a specialist. I was starting to think seriously about asking this place for a reimbursement because I was afraid they had lost the items. In the end they gave me a small discount for being late, but never really seemed apologetic and unfortunately it's not enough for me to trust them with my expensive specialty clothing again. read more

Nice! I ran in on Thursday morning, out of breath, hoping they could get my husband's interview suit ready that same day. I explained it was for am interview while the kind lady behind the counter and I exchanged pleasantries. As she was checking it all in, she let me know that I wasn't going to be charged because it was (you guessed it!) for an interview! I went about my day, thinking I'd probably at least get charged for the shirt, but nope! Free! The creases were perfect, all of it was just stunning! The proximity to home and where I do shopping in the Coal Mine plaza across the street is great, and the good job they've done for me so far (sorry, Rob L., they do tailor clothes). About a month ago, they altered a pair of dress slacks, and this morning I left another new pair for them to do the same. My daughter is home on leave from the Air Force Academy and she brought her uniforms home to get cleaned. Since this is precious cargo to me I searched out the best dry cleaner in Littleton based on reviews and what a great choice that was. The staff at Lapels not only greeted me with a smile but they finished a day earlier than promised AND they didnt charge my daughter because they support active duty military. HOW AWESOME IS THAT!!! These kids sacrifice alot to be in the military and it is so refreshing and respectful to see companies appreciate them. Lapels you are now my forever cleaners and I will continue to spread the word. What I love is the proximity to my home and that they offer door to door service. The owner is a nice guy. Another cool thing is that if they notice buttons missing or broken they fix it for you (although it may take some time). A few things that could be improved are: sometimes clothing goes home with the wrong customer. We have returned what comes to our house but we aren't sure if maybe some of our items have gone to the wrong place and not made it back to us. One of our shirts needed new buttons and then it wasn't our shirt...we still don't have our shirt going on a month or so. This location has been here about 3 years give or take and it is experiencing growing pains. Once these concerns are addressed and improved it will be a five star place! read more

Great dry cleaner with friendly staff. The owner is frequently present and is very friendly. They do a great job. Before finding them, I was driving 25 minutes to my old dry cleaner as I could not find a better one near me. Not only do these guys meet my needs, they are even better than my previous dry cleaner. Be sure to check on their VIP deal, and if interested, ask them about the delivery/ pick-up. I haven't tried the latter, but keep seeing the van in my cul-de-sac, so I am going to ask about it next time I am there. read more

I was calling around for prices on cleaning my very expensive down comforter and I'm glad I called here. They were competitively priced, but they were the only place I called that actually took the time to discuss different cleaning options and educate me on the different services offered. He never charges extra for same day dry cleaning. I've been meaning to take my things to a different place because of the 10% price differential - but are you kidding me? This was my first time having anything done at here. They were able to turn around 4 suits 3 blazers 5 skirts and 4 dresses in no time flat. Everything looks amazing and they are competitively priced. I will keep coming back because they took the time to remove belts from my dresses so they wouldn't get ruined which if you have ever taken your things to a discount cleaner it's really hit and miss if you will get your things back in the same shape you brought them. read more

Unfortunately, I did not have as good experience, as other reviewers! Also, my latest disappointment was not the only one!!! About a year ago I picked up from this dry cleaning shop a shrank expensive shirt, which was a gift from me to my husband. Even though, the manager made an effort to find an exact one at the US stores, he was not able too! He offered a new shirt that was too short on my husband (after all, he is only 6'5"). Last week I picked up an evening dress. When I got home I noticed that it still has a very strong smell of sweat. I drove back right away. The manager did not even apologize, but explained to me some details on how oil based cleaning would not take care of perspiration, and that he will make the dress ready by tomorrow. On my opinion, the customer service is NO GOOD, plus, I wonder if they really know this line of business...When I came the next day around noon, it was not ready. I made total of THREE trips to get my dress....and have not heard a simple SORRY!!! TERRIBLE SERVICE! read more

My family inadvertently moved an important box of mine to a storage area that got wet at some point. By the time I discovered this (much later), the clothes within the box were very gross. I was so upset because the box contained my late father's clothes...his favorite shirt, his jacket that always reminded me of him, etc...things I had collected when he passed away years ago when I was a teenager...and I was afraid that everything was ruined. To others, these clothes would appear to be junky old clothes, but they have incredible sentimental value and are irreplaceable to me. Initially, I was even scared to bring the clothes in, for fear they would get lost. Dave promised he would take good care of the clothing when he heard the story behind them...and he did.
