Recently I had some garments for tailoring. I went into the change room as they asked, but midway through being pinned a man came in who wanted elbow patches on his sweater. The woman left me without apology or explanation and went and helped him! I said nothing and went to change into the next garment. I stepped out and the tailor and another assistant were finishing up with typing in clothes from clients who had left. I waited. A man then came in and the tailor served him - while ignoring me. The other woman went to the back. I waited. The first man left, and another man came in and again, the tailor served the new male customer. I waited and then said, "this is the second customer you have served while I am waiting." He arrogantly didn't even turn, she said nothing. I went in and changed. She came and tried to hug me. I said nothing and walked out. Awful, awful service at very high prices. I went down the road to an elderly couple who are wonderful tailors. Half the price and far better service and tailoring. We tried talking to them during the process, but they were rude telling her to tell me to go in because a modesty panel was not doable. The seamstress that did my wedding dress made one beautifully and even added a zipper. Other places make them all the time. They are a low-skill alteration fix. The dress was fixed as best as possible by my new seamstress who is near me. Thank God I didn't bring them (Joshuas) my wedding gown! As you can see in the pictures, the dress fit crooked and the modesty panel? If you could call it that. Anyone could've done a better job. Overpriced and horrible work. Save your money!

Therewasnoway to see what they were taking since they all went different directions. They emptied our closets and dressers. We had little idea what they took. No photos, lists or receipts. When they began to bring back our clothes, a LOT of items were badly stained and damaged. One expensive coat not only had several new stains but looked like a dog attacked it... giant rip. A brand new cashmere sweater, never worn, was torn and newly discolored. When we finally got back what they said was everything, we began to notice items missing. Many of them were expensive. Many hadn't been worn and still had tags. Sals was unresponsive for many weeks. They never provided an inventory, only got that provided by our insurer who sent us their invoice. Many items on that invoice were not returned! We lost $10k plus of our belongings not even counting the dozens of items damaged and severely stained. Horrible! Don't ever do business with this unscrupulous company!!!

The agent that they sent to pick up the clothing, curtains, explained the procedure and helped me decide what to send. The initial clothes (2 day returns came back on time. Because of my skin sensitivity the product that they used broke me out. I called and they rewashed ALL of my products that they just washed! No complaints, no ugly comments, just "Real Customer Service ". We were so grateful ! I wish that there were more stars to give. I will forever be grateful to Sal's. To the entire team working there, THANK YOU!!! You all know what Customer Service is.

Then I received several orders in a row where whites were clearly washed with something dark and stains appeared on things that were not there before. I also used to think I had clearly put in socks without their mates until they lost a sock that was part of a pair I specifically made sure was put in together. Finally, twice my bags were delivered to the wrong building despite explicitly clear instructions. It was so convenient (again, if expensive) but I'm not willing to put my things at risk of damage, loss, or wrong delivery for what they charge.

It had stains, which were not removed or addressed. (Not even a comment "we tried to remove but could not"). And it came back stuffed in a bag all wrinkles. A dry cleaner would have put on a hanger, at least. It did smell fresh (slightly). Otherwise I would have doubted they did anything at all. Worth it with the intro offer, but will be going back to my local dry cleaner with other items.

Three days later, I called to ask if he was getting started on the dress and was told he was too busy to look at it but that "we still have time" to get it done. Three more days passed and he texted to let me know he couldn't think of any wax to alter it. He kept it for a week and left me with very little time to find another tailor- which I did that same day- who was able to alter it to exactly what I needed. Very disappointed in the lack of concern over a time frame and the lack of skill in alterations.
