I am a liveaboard and my husband and I just bought an insurance salvage motor boat. Not only were the cushions and curtains generally filthy from the boat sitting empty, but one cushion was so soaked with oil that it squished when you squeezed it. I bundled the whole lot up and brought them in to Tuttles. To avoid damaging the rubber padding, the manager decided to air dry the cushion covers. As a result, it took longer to clean than first anticipated. I came by several times to check on the progress and had occasion to deal with four different individuals. All were friendly, attentive and respectful. And, not only am I not a local, I am from Florida. Complete with Florida plates, driver's license and phone number. When I received my goods, all but the oil soaked one was great. I wasn't happy with the oil removal, so I brought it back and they tried again with a different process. When I got it this time it was perfectly clean and I wasn't charged anything extra. The prices were also good; about 1/3 of what other places estimated. HORRIBLE experience. I would give 0 stars if I could. We brought in a pair of dress pants to have the clasp moved up about an inch. We were told it could be done and were given a specific date to pick them up. We were also told that if there were any issues and the alteration couldn't be completed, we would receive a call. We never received a call. Instead, we showed up TWO DAYS before a black-tie event to pick up the pants, only to be told that they actually couldn't do the alteration. Had we been notified sooner, we would have had time to find another tailor. At this point, we were left scrambling at the last minute. Completely unacceptable communication and customer service. Avoid this establishment. They should be ashamed of how this was handled. read more

Excellent service! Quick Turn around! One odd experience was that I went to pay / pickup. They said the credit card machine was down. I live close and said I would try the next day. Tuttles does have a monopoly on C-Town and they are the worst. My shirts buttons got melted, they are over priced, they do not have price sheets, they quote at the door.. I belive the last time I was there, they wanted 2.50 for a mens shirt.. On top of all this customer serives is medium at best. read more

This place was over priced to begin with compared to even most placed in the south end. I tried it because it was convenient. The press on the pants was mediocre at best and the wash and fold experience has just been a nightmare. I have dropped off my clothes to get washed m only to get them returned with oil spots on ALL of my clothes. When I brought it to their attention they denied it and said I stained it myself prior to bringing the clothes in. Are you guys really on crack? Why would I not get it dry cleaned if I did it myself. Now i have all my expensive polo's ruined. I really thing who ever reads this should stay away from this wretched place. Over priced, service is bad and totally not worth it. read more

If you live in the neighborhood, it's convenient. I do a wash and fold once a week. I often get other peoples garments, and have to make sure I keep an inventory of what I take in. Once I ended up with bleach stains on some of the clothes, and they refused to help. The two stars are simply for location. read more

Overpriced, incredibly rude staff, and inconvenient. I wouldn't recommend these guys to anyone! I used to use their weekly wash and fold service (even though it is crazy expensive) and one week I was travelling so I asked my boyfriend to leave my bag outside the front door for the wash and fold pickup. Long story short, he didn't put my laundry bag out in time, so the next time I called Tuttles to schedule a pick-up I was screamed at and was informed that I was blacklisted from using their services ever again. They didn't care that I had been a customer for over a year without any issues. Completely unprofessional and totally uncalled for! Brought in a fancy dress that was badly soiled and needed to be cleaned BY THE NEXT DAY. They said they could do it, so I came in the next day and all the stains were completely gone. It was like new! My husband comes in regularly for his shirts and pants. He says shirts cost a little more than other places nearby, but you get what you pay for. I looked forward to getting my freq. visitor card punched (clean 10, 1 free), but now the punch is by # of visits rather than # of items cleaned...doesn't make sense to me! No problems with the dry cleaning, but you know, its the little things you look forward to, and they just took one away from me. Especially when you are like me and hold all your dry cleaning until you have a huge pile you can't ignore anymore, now that only counts for one dinky punch? The guy at the counter said they changed management & therefore, policies. Anyway, tonight it was $19 for me to a light sweater & one silk cami drycleaned. A little steep, but one quick tip..they have coupons online, so print them out & take them with you when you drop your clothes off (if you bring them at pickup, they will not honor the coupon) to save a few dollars! read more

I am enamored of Tuttles because they keep everything-- EVERYTHING-- that gets misplaced or lost. Just a couple of months ago, I went to my closet to get a dress that I hadn't worn in 1.5 years. I discovered that the slip portion of the dress was missing, so I went to the main Tuttles location and asked them if they had found it. Miracle of miracles, they did! The woman who helped me said that they keep everything in the back and almost never throw anything away-- if you truly left something at their store or an article of clothing got separated from the rest of your order, it will still be there when you go back for it. read more

I had a bridesmaid dress altered here and they were great! They were so helpful, they even gave me tips on how to get my dress to stay up, because it is a little big at the top. Really efficient service too, thankfully, since I was bringing it in at the last minute before the wedding. Highly recommended for alterations! read more
