My Airbnb for My Weekend in Montreal was just 5 minute away, so I decided to come to Lapin Presse for a coffee. Love the interior and their logo: Rabbit (I do love bunny theme anything) Macchiato was A-OK. I still find most espresso based coffee in Montreal more on the sour side. Great little cafe to chill out in the Neighbourhood.

Soup + grilled cheese combo. REALLY good.

Coffee made with love! This is a sweet find in the plateau, on quaint Laurier. I was happy to get a REAL (espresso-based) coffee here, rich and beautiful, and made with locally roasted St-Henri beans. It looks deceptively small from the street but there's definitely decent seating inside. Great treats to go with your coffee, too. I saw some amazing salads and sandwiches happening at other tables, which I'd be up for inhaling. Kid-friendly and decent art on the walls. I'm getting my Sunday-morning-coffee-and-a-stroll fixins here from now on.

I really like this spot! It's cute and cozy and seriously who doesn't need a grillcheese every once in a while. Wifi is fairly reliable-it's just the city network. Clean and bright. Pretty good staff. Very bilingual. There is a surprising amount of space considering how small the square footage is. Having said that though, I'm sure you could easily run into a situation in which you have no place to sit. Just take it to go and head to the park. I'm giving four stars instead if five for totally picky things like a restroom crowded with boxes and cleaning supplies, and the fact that they really need to hang some art up in the back. Or mirrors. That space is so claustrophobic... Also, they should serve toast. There is a whole ARTISANAL TOAST revolution, I think these guys could pretty easily serve the butter and jam variety. I mean, toast is literally grillcheese minus the cheese. Bur other than those picky things, it's great! Would recommend grabbing a couple of sandwiches to take for a picnic once the weather shapes up.

Extremely good coffee. This is on my way to work and I try to stop here when ever I could. The people here are very nice, service is excellent and the coffee amazing. It is a bit pricey, but I guess you pay for the quality.

Overrated & bland. I've been here 3x over the last 5 years. I'm left with the same feeling each time: overpriced mediocrity. The carrot squash soup tasted like fresh water with some pepper. The cheddar and onion grilled cheese was bland and boring. I guess you're paying for the location, which is great.

Best latte I've ever tasted. Grilled cheese are delicious, but everything is a bit pricey.

They have a few other things to go with your grilled cheese, like a soup of the day and some greens, all equally good.

Food wise, I ordered the Sandwhich Dej (breakfast sandwich) and it was real delicious. The vibes here are super chill and relaxed. I love the to turquoise colour booths as well as two larger wooden tables at the back for groups. Another cool feature is that they have a huge outdoor seating area right outside the cafe so even if it's packed inside, you can hang outside to drink your coffee, read your book, and enjoy the sunshine!

On a Saturday afternoon, there were quite a lot of people, but the owner decided to divide the space into zones with and without laptop. The idea is to keep tables for people who want to relax and just enjoy their coffee at a nice table with comfortable seats. For people with laptops, they are seated either at entrance or in the back of the coffee shop. I think that it's a smart move. Anyway, enjoy your time at Pista!
