First of all, i paid that guy $55.00 to have older model desktop fixed, for a no rush job. The quick and dirty bottom line is this: Please don't deal with them at all. I don't like posting one star reviews...but I feel its honestly best for everyone if I expose these people for who they are. The first impression I got of this place was fine...one of their employees went out of their way to meet with me on a Saturday when they were closed and take my machine to be looked at when they opened Monday. That's pretty much where all the positivity stops. First of all, they told me on the phone the estimate was free and when I dropped the machine off they hit me with "Oh do you want us to actually fix it? That's a "flat rate" of $40 per unit" (I had dropped off both my tower and monitor). I went ahead and paid the $40 for the tower because I didn't want to bother paying them later...which was a mistake but I'll go over that soon. I was told I would get an estimate Monday night or Tuesday morning at the latest. I called said person Monday night and was told I would receive a call back when they got back to the office. Nothing. I had to call again Tuesday afternoon and it took them until late afternoon to bother calling me back. Is it really this hard to get me a price when you've had the thing for 2 days? They told me my motherboard was bad. Ok I thought, this is fine, I suspected that. However...I bought this motherboard 3-4 years ago for $80. And guess what? They decided they had to charge me a whopping $360 to replace it! That's ridiculous! I bet I could buy the same stupid motherboard myself online for $50 at this point. Speaking of which, apparently the $40 I paid prior only paid for whatever labor they did (by the way this $40 is nonrefundable whether they actually fix anything or not which is probably how they actually make their money in the end when nobody will deal with their God awful prices). In fact, I offered to buy it myself and asked how much the price would drop and was told "If you bring in the part, we charge you $40 an hour for labor" well what was my ORIGINAL $40 for then? In the end they can take as long as they want to fix it and by that time I will have shelled out at least $50 more just getting them the part in addition to the original $40 and whatever the heck they feel like charging me. If you've read this far, congratulations. You've learned why Nation's First sucks. Please do the best thing you can for everyone who has tech problems and tell them to AVOID THIS PLACE at all costs. I had a very positive experience using this company. I used them because they were closer to my work. When I got there the owner explained that the reviews being left were from competitors. He fixed my pic and it only cost me 99 dollars the neamount quoted. They were very communicative through the entire process and meet the time frame promised. Completely satisfied with the repair of my Canon printer. Service was fast and reliable.

I placed a service call on behalf of my company in November 2017 to repair a printer that was causing slight smudging of ink on printed papers. They sent a technician who advised that a maintenance kit be ordered. We were billed for the service call, which is appropriate. We ordered the maintenance kit and then called the company (Dean) back to resend the technician back to install the maintenance kit. The tech came out and installed the maintenance kit. We were billed for this second service call, again that is appropriate. Then our purchasing dept contacts me to ask about another charge that Nations First Office Repair charged us for. It was for a service warranty for one year for $655. I never ordered this and gave no authorization for Dean to charge us for this. I immediately called the company and spoke with Dean and he agreed to issue a refund, which he did. I asked him why we were charged this unauthorized amount and he responded by saying that he believed we needed the warranty to save on future repairs. I wonder if there are any other companies that needed repairs from them, whereby they were charged without their consent or agreement. One star is way too much! Their website and store sign says they open at 8:30am. Got there at 8:37am Monday morning, after speaking with Robert about what I needed the previous Friday. I was surprised the store was not opened. I then called the store number on the window and again talked to Robert. He said he wouldn't be there till 10am. I told him I spoke to him Friday and had driven all the way from across town. He then said he'd be there by 9:30am. I waited. When he arrived I lugged my heavy printer into the shop. Despite the fact that all he had to do was put it back together, like I explained over the phone, he told me it would take two hours (and twice the amount) to do that, despite the fact that it was only about a 20 minute project. He dismissed me and became gruff and crude, for no apparent reason. His irrational and adversarial exchange made it plain he was not interested in my business. Three times I told him that he was only encouraging me to leave. Finally, I told him it was quite plain that I was at the wrong place and asked if he would justy help me put my printer back in the car. He immediately refused and said I should get someone else, even though no one was in the store, or even outside, but us. As strong and healthy as he looked, he complained that he had a bad back. Bait and switch! We brought our huge Ryland printer to them to work on. Were told it would be $129 flat fee to give it a diagnosis. While they had the printer, the guy said they needed a code to finish running their diagnostics. Our business partner, that has been dealing with these printers for 30 years called bullshit and called his tech in TX and yep..IT WAS BULLSHIT...NO CODE NEEDED. Then, the tech at this place critized our desicion in purchasing this piece of equipment. He also told our business partner that he was authorized by us to charge us an addtional $350!! WTF! Long story short, we had to pay $350...for something we werrle told was $129...a diagnosis....and they had our equipment for 3 weeks! NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE!! read more

Here is a very long 2 month story that I hope will help someone to avoid these people #1 My laptop stopped working, but would turn on intermittently, after several attempts at self repair I knew I needed help. #2 I ordered a motherboard repair service from ebay and sent laptop in for repair #3 I was told my logistics board was fried, when I protested this, they told me the board had too many cold points and needed replaced. #4 I was quoted price for several styles of board (each time I declined and a cheaper board was offered.) Approx. quotes: New board $250, Used board $180, refurbished board $135 #5 I said I would pay $110 for a refurbished board -- they agreed. #6 One month later replacement board arrives from China #7 After delay of a few days I'm told they didn't receive drivers with board #8 I tell them I don't need drivers, I can do that download myself. #9 They tell me laptop must pass all inspections before it can be sent out #10 After another week, I ask for laptop again without drivers. #11 They agree to send me laptop -- so I send in a check (they weren't taking paypal at that point, for an unknown reason.) #12 After a week of my check not clearing the bank, I ask them if there is a problem #13 They tell me on the final test that the replacement board failed. #14 I count my losses and ask laptop be sent back to me #15 I received laptop in a nicer box than I sent it in but cables were left loose and one screw (at least) had been lost. #16 After repairing laptop I test it and it still has intermittent booting. At least they didn't make things worse. #17 I send in laptop to a motherboard specialist in NY #18 Motherboard specialist in NY fixed laptop in 7 days -- they tell me the bios was bad. No mention of cold connections or a fried board. Note: On a positive spin to things Nation's First was always very speedy to reply to my e-mails. Conclusion: Beware of Nation's First Office Repair; my suspicion is that in order to avoid negative feedback on ebay my laptop was held hostage for 60 days, the time required to keep buyers from leaving feedback. read more

This place is a joke. If you value your time and money stay away from here!! I should've known to take my computer someplace else after seeing their pathetic shop. it reminds me more of a storage closet instead of an office. I went in for a simple screen repair, the imbicile at the front desk told me it would be no more than 40-80 dollars to fix...realizing this sounded too good to be true, i asked him multiple times if there would be any additional charges and he reassured me over and over again that they charge 40 dollars an hour flat rate, but i should've used common sense and noticed a business like this, run by morons couldn't stay in business without ripping people off. The "dumb office worker" as the guy referred to himself, even forgot to take the initial payment of 40 dollars. I turned around after going all the way to my car to remind him that he didn't charge me the 40 bucks which he said would be deducted from the final cost. He thanked me multiple times for my honesty, and that was the final act of professionalism and decent customer service i witnessed from this business. I was told they would contact me the next day to tell me when my laptop would be available for pickup, after waiting all day, i called them in the afternoon and they told me it would be another 600 bucks to fix, plus labor charges!!! Not even the apple store charges that much for a new screen. I told him i wouldn't accept that, than the guy asked if they should backup my data...i came to you guys to fix my screen, not to mess with my data. (for some reason they asked for my password and when i got my computer back it had gone through a force shut down, i don't know why they decided to log into my computer...) The guy even went on to say i shouldn't have broken it if i didn't want to pay that much. Who says something like that to a customer?? i told him i was on my way to pick it up, and that i was expecting a refund of the 40 dollars which i would not have been even charged if i hadn't done the right thing and reminded them...i guess thats what you get for having common decency, people like them try to take advantage of you... When i got there i asked to speak to a manager or owner, and the "dumb office worker" suddenly promoted himself to manager.... he said i would have to come back monday to speak to the owner about the refund. when i arrived there on monday, not to my surprise, the owner was no where to be found. The "dumb office worker"/manager said he didn't have the authority to give me a refund. i asked if there was anybody else i could speak to, since i heard voices coming from the back. he said those people were customers, after i pointed out the giant "PRIVATE - EMPLOYEES ONLY" sign on the door, he asked me to come outside. He then told me i should take them to court, that would be the only way i could get a refund. he even went on to say it would be great if they got sued, and that he would love it if the place got shut down so he could get another job. (way to represent your business buddy). Also, they claim they have 24 hour service. thats a lie, they close at 5:30...pretty early for a repair shop don't you think? And they're not even open at all on the weekends. They also have multiple different names for the same location...perhaps to avoid all the negative reviews being directed at them..and they claim to have been in business for OVER 20 years (somehow) but it says they were established in 1997...so they either can't do simple math or they are liars..or both seems more likely. Either way i wouldn't trust these people with anything. So if you love getting ripped off, and leaving your valuable possessions in the hands of unqualified scam artists, and paying them 40 dollars an hour to waste your time then this is the place for you!! i highly recommend this place to everyone thats seeking a thrill and loves being frustrated with horrible customer service. If I could give this place a zero I would. I took my printer in to clean the heads..THATS IT. They say they do free estimates but charged me $39 that they said would fix the problem including labor..as long as nothing needed to be replaced. The printer worked. I knew what the problem was before I took it in. When I spoke with the guy I I told him what I wanted and had printed out a few pages showing him that it was printing but the ink was faint. (The printer works) a day later he calls and proceed to tell me that the printer doesn't work and it would cost $140 to fix!! More than what I paid for the printer!! How does that work? I brought my Samsung Ativ Book in because the back lite display was not working properly. I was told it would only take 1-2 days to get back to me with estimate but I had to pay $39.95 upfront. I got this repair service by internet and I sent my laptop because they told me by email that they can fix the video chip mother board (video chip reballing) but after a week they call me back and he said that a new mother board replacement was necessary. I told him that DO NOT replace the mother board and ship back my laptop as is without NO FIX (because it cost $250, whit that money I can buy a new laptop ) however 2 weeks later I called to know why my laptop didn't arrive to my home yet and he told me that I NEED to pay $250 if I want my laptop back.. (pay for something that I NEVER requested) I was complaining about it because I NEVER requested a mother board replacement, but the owner of the company did not listen me and he told me "so sorry so sad, so sorry so sad, so sorry so sad... but If you want your laptop you should pay"... . They did not shipped my computer back!... the laptop stay in their facilities or maybe they sold it. Complete fraud. I wish there was a ZERO or negative rating cause that was what this service was. Not sure who the technician was, but I would not want to be associated with this shop on my resume. I was coming to Vegas for a conference and called ahead of time to see if they could fix my power button on my laptop. Not only do they charge a huge fast rate turn around fee, they don't have the work done when they promise and then give you every excuse about how it is your device that is not working and there are more problems with your device. My computer powered up but with struggle when I took it in to them however the frame was cracked. They had the nerve to tell me the motherboard was cracked? Then why did it work before? Then a week later I called and they tell me 'the parts arrived from the manufacturer broken so they could not use them'. Really? Maybe if you did not order crappy parts. It took me a Month to get my computer back and they had to send it to me because they could not get it repaired. No doubt he was busy ripping someone else off with their dumb priority fees. And now that I have it back, the power button does not work. They had the nerve to tell me the hard drive might have issues when that was not a problem when I left it with them. When I finally got my computer back home and was able to get it started after playing with the power button for about 25 minutes, they had not turned it on at all since I left it with them. My virus scan and internet time stamp was from my last log in to the computer. I strongly suspect they did not fix anything and charged me $600 for NOTHING!!!! These people claim they don't live off their "Reviews" because the Mirage and ALL the large companies in the Valley never have an issue with their services, when I told them I was going to post the WORST review on his company. I took my printer into their office for a repair of a hinge to the lid on my Konica Minolta Printer. They charged me $56.00 non refundable, up front for Labor cost, before they do ANYTHING! Two days later they called me to say the parts cost was going to be $247.00 plus $25.00 shipping. At which I felt was absurd, being it was a small plastic hinge. I told them I was opting out of the repair, the Tech that called then asked me if I wanted them to, "Throw away my printer". I told him I would be by to pick up my machine. When I arrived to pick it up it was quite evident that NOTHING was ever looked at on the machine! I called Konica and purchased the part for $53.00 plus $4.50 shipping. I installed the part myself in all of 10 minutes, and these clowns wanted to charge me $247.00 + $25.00 shipping for a small plastic hinge! These people are a RIP OFF!!! Read some of the reviews about sorry excuse for a business both here and on Google, and do yourself a favor- take your business somewhere else! I was having some problems with my printer and against my inner voice foolishly paid up to $40 to have it so called "professionally" diagnosed by these people. In the four plus working days they had it, the only thing I could get out them was a hastily written questionable assessment for replacement parts that even I know HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PROBLEM!! It was all about them trying to overcharge you for unnecessary part replacement, so they could then supposed "figure out" if another part needed replacing. In other words, lets try and RIP THE CUSTOMER OFF as much as we can! When you have to constantly call these people because they are too lazy/ incompetent to call you, and then the Office front guy almost demands that you pay them extra money, you have to listen to your inner voice, cut your losses, and just refuse to waste your money with them. A few days later I had phoned to see if it was done, the guy told me he didn't have a used keyboard and would have to order one in. I told him to go ahead. While fixing it he asked me if I didn't mind them to wipe the laptop clean while they clean any viruses on it. I took my laptop into office repair on Thursday, the hinges were broken. They told me that the flat rate service fee was $39 to estimate the damage, I'd have to wait 2-3 days. If I wanted them to look at it immediately it was a $100 charge and that money would go toward the repair. They came back and told me that the parts for the repair would be $235, I'd have to pay up front so they could order them. The $100 would cover the cost of installation. I felt suspicious about the cost of the parts, I mean for another $200 I could have purchased a new laptop. I called Dell and determined that the parts cost $45. When I called office repair back, they told me that they mark up the parts to make a living, I asked them if they thought a 600% mark up was fair, and then proceeded to tell them that they were ripping me off. I've used this computer repair shop for half a dozen problems that my kids have created going on websites required by school and getting viruses or they "have" to use my laptop "right now" and then inevitably drop it...kids are so creative in finding problems for us to fix! I took my HP LaserJet in as I was getting a paper feed problem. I had just installed a brand new fuser film roll, and the fuser was feeding paper fine before I replaced the film roll, but when I called to find out get their opinion for the $40 diagnostic fee that I paid them, I was told that the entire fuser would have to be replaced and quoted about $275 to do it! What a pile of rubbish! 1/ The fuser is working fine, it just needed someone who knows how to pinpoint why the paper was jamming after I put the machine back together from when I replaced the fuser film roll. 2/ Even if I did need a new fuser unit, I can order a brand new OEM HP one for $89.00, not the $275 I was quoted. I feel like I got brutally ripped off for my $40 and would never recommend this place to anyone. Something fell on our screen and it became scrambled. We took it in and paid the $50 repair fee. I was told the next day they would have to replace the screen. $265. I stupidly said yes. They said they had to order the part. On Monday I got a call saying the screen was installed and everything was good EXCEPT I needed a wireless card reader because it would NOT connect to the internet. My son went down there with me. We asked to see the computer before I paid. They refused. I asked to see the invoice for the new screen. I was told no. I told them I paid for the part. They still refused to show me the invoice because I was not allowed to see their mark up. I only wanted to confirm it was a new screen. As far as no access to internet. FALSE. My son used his phone hotspot to connect to WIFI in THEIR store. It worked just fine without me paying for extra parts. We are home now and guess what......I do not need anymore parts to access the internet. They are grossly overpriced and misleading about what is really needed. I just got my laptop looked at by these fools! NEVER WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!! As the other review says they try to rip you off! I had a simple screen replacement and they took 3 days to look at it then came back to tell me that the part was special sized and had to be ordered. They came back with the crazy price of over $300 for the screen. When I said no way because I paid less for the whole computer brand new in December at Best Buy. They checked for an after market screen while I was on hold for about 3 seconds. REALLY! That was to the tune of $189. STILL CRAZY! I said no and that I would be by to pick it up. They offer to sell me an old one for $200- $300 when I told them that I paid $289 for new at Best Buy. Did they really think that was a deal. They then offered to buy mine for $45. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE. By the way....youtube showed me the 4 screws to remove to replace my screen and ebay gave me one for $50 brand new! PLEASE NEVER GO HERE!!!! read more

DBA Laptoprepairs.com, their business model is Bait-and-switch! They'll give you a low cost verbal 'free estimate', take your payment for the 'labor' up-front and have you sign your rights away for any recourse if you are not satisfied in the end, A few days later they'll give you a much higher 'actual repair cost' and then keep your money when you deny service. When you ask for a refund since they only increased the estimate and did no repairs they will tell you the labor fee now covers their 'full diagnostic labor charges'. I had to get an attorney involved to get a refund and then had my repair done elsewhere for what was their initial estimate. read more

My Macbook pro experienced water damage, I asked them to fix the keyboard trackpad, etc whatever was affected by said water damage, just picked up my laptop today after almost two months struggling to get the $520 to pay for the repairs and I get my laptop back with the same backlight that experienced water damage, would've though they were good enough to replace a 15 dollar part while getting in there to fix my keyboard but I guess not, don't bother going here there's plenty other places I should've taken in the first place read more

My laptop just froze in the middle of of a project. I waited 10 minutes, and it still was frozen. I tried to power it off and restart, but it would not. I brought it first to best buy, but they told me it would be $100.00 just to diagnose!!! I called around and found this place. He said it would only be $39.00 total for the labor and all I would have to pay for is parts. I asked... What if I don't do the repair? He said all I would have to pay is the $39.00... So I thought that if it was too much to repair I would either buy a new computer or I could get best buy to fix it with them knowing what it needs. 3 days later (I could of paid an "expedited" fee but did not want to). I was told that the parts would be $200.00. I picked up the estimate and went back to best buy to see how much they would charge. They told me $178.00 for the parts and $150.00 for the labor. I went back and asked if I was going to be charged for labor. I was told, nope! Just the 200.00. I told him to do it. He had the parts on hand and had it fixed the next day. I took my laptop in for a bluescreen repair and paid $362.90 when I picked it up. It worked at their shop but not in my home. I took it back 3 times and was patronizingly told to go home again and try the same thing that did not work. They refused to give me a refund.
