He brought us a water bowl for the dogs, and he gave us a ton of recommendations on the menu as well. For our meal, we started with the dolma and kimchi pancake. The dolma was great, but the star here was the kimchi pancake! It was crispy, flavorful with the dipping sauce, and so delicious I wish we ordered 2. For our entrees, I had the General Tso's cauliflower which was the best fried cauliflower I've ever had. They were sooo extremely crispy and very flavorful! You can't go wrong with these or the cauliflower wings. The sauce on this was a tad spicier than I normally like that day, but that did not bother me given how delicious the dish was. My partner got the lettuce wraps which had a yummy tofu scramble that we also really enjoyed. Overall, I love the concept of comfort vegetarian food that Sweet Melissa offers, and I am so glad we stopped by here. The portion sizes are great, and I forgot to mention the great cocktails we had too! I would definitely come back if I'm in town again.

I'm not a vegan/vegetarian kind of eater, but I would go back again.

WOW! I found a gem…read morein Laramie, Wyoming! The University of Wyoming Art Museum has a huge collection of world-class art! Currently, the University of Wyoming Art Museum presents an exhibition to explore its place in the American West. I enjoyed the Oronzo Gasparo's (Italian-American, 1903-1969) art- people, places, and things. His drawings and paintings are bright, colorful, fascinating, and mysterious. "The next exhibition borrows its title from an iconic book of the same name. Micrographia, by Robert Hooke, was first published in 1665. It touched upon the many various interests of its author, including distant planets, the origin of fossils, the wave theory of light, and primarily focused on the visualizations of the microscopic-plant cell walls, insects, and others. This artistic approach to transdisciplinary science encapsulates the motivation of this exhibition. How does science benefit from art? How does art benefit from science? " Don't miss the art of railroads! The art building is at the Centennial Complex, which seems to be newly built and located right inside the The University of Wyoming. Parking is easy and right by the museum. There is no fee to visit. We came here during "off" hours. It was either before or after school had let out for the semester,…read moreso we were told that the full galleries hadn't been set up yet (wastelands, Pat Guthrie, Audubon animals). There were still a few things to check out inside and outside, so we weren't expected to pay the full admission fee. (I mean it said they were technically open...). Would've loved to come back to see the full gallery, but just never made it back. Big facility and lots of natural lighting. (P.S. did you know they host the Festival of Trees here every year??)

Let's start with moving in, I moved in August 1st 2015, and the apartment I moved into was disgusting. Dirty, stained and smelly. I complained numerous times and they didn't do anything about it. Next thing, living there , the bedrooms are small, you can't rearrange ur room at all there is no space because of the layout, the bathrooms are so tiny and not functional for 2 people, and if something breaks except a couple months before the maintenance people will ever give you the time of day! Moving on to well, moving out. It was hell, H E L L. they pestered me at least 4 times about re signing my lease, refused to give me my deposit back and "lost" all m original documents. Talk about shady. Moral of the story, it's dirty, trash is everywhere, winter parking is a nightmare and the apartments aren't good. Do yourself a favor and go spend the extra money and get yourself a good apartment like the Pointe, or the Verge.

We stopped in during the afternoon while traveling and were short on time. One of the reasons we…read morechose this place was because it had been recommended to us by ChatGPT for its good atmosphere and food, so we arrived with positive expectations. If you are on a schedule, hungry, or just passing through, I strongly recommend having a reservation before going. Another issue was the online menu experience. Their website would not open properly for us, and the menu information we found online did not match the physical menu we were given at the restaurant. That made it difficult to plan ahead or know what to expect before arriving. The host was initially kind enough to seat us at the bar so we would not be turned away, which we appreciated. We ordered a quick meatball dish to go and were told it would be about 10 minutes. Unfortunately, it ended up taking around 45 minutes. Had we been informed clearly from the beginning that the food would be significantly delayed, and that not having a reservation would place us at the back of the queue, we would have simply gone somewhere else and saved everyone the inconvenience. By the time the food arrived, we were tired and frustrated. During the wait, it was explained to us that because we did not have a reservation, other orders had to be prioritized ahead of ours. While the meal was ultimately provided at no charge, the overall experience was stressful and not ideal for travelers on a tight schedule. If you plan to visit, especially while on the road, I would recommend reserving in advance and allowing extra time. Good luck!

Hey apartment searchers. I'm a college student attending school in Laramie, WY and I've lived at…read moreThe Pointe at Wyo since August 2014. As I write this review, it's nearly April 2016 and over the year and eight months that I've lived here I've come to know the place pretty well. I'd like to share what my experience here has been like with you so that you can make an informed choice about where you choose to rent from in Laramie. When I first came to Laramie searching for a place to live, I had never heard of an apartment complex quite like The Pointe. Each apartment is composed of 4 bedrooms, each having its own full bathroom. There is a large kitchen with new stainless steel appliances and a spacious living room including two couches, two end tables, and one coffee table. There is a washer and dryer in each apartment. Each bedroom is furnished with a desk, desk chair, dresser, and night stand. It really is a modern looking and well equipped apartment that comes at a cost that you would be hard pressed to find elsewhere for what you are provided. What's unique about living at The Pointe vs renting with a traditional lease is that your rent remains the same no matter how many people are living in the apartment with you. For example, if you move into a unit that has three people living in it, and they all leave, you are not stuck with paying the rent of their three, now vacant, rooms. Your rent will remain at your signing price throughout the duration of your lease, in my case $535/month for a third floor unit with vaulted ceilings. During my initial tour of The Pointe, about 6 months prior to my move in, I was ooooed and ahhhed by the three hot tubs, firepit, the well equipped gym, and the newness of everything in the apartments. While I am still mostly happy living here, there have been disappointments. First of all, when I finally moved in 6 months after my tour, I was surprised to find the hot tubs lacking a crucial ingredient....water. And they've been like that. For. 20. Months. That's right, I've not once had the opportunity to sit in the hot tubs that I was promised during my tour and I've lived here for nearly 2 years. There has been a recent change in management and much construction has been going on in an attempt to get the hot tubs up and running. I just hope they get it taken care of sooner than later, because that has been a huge let down. Secondly, while The Pointe has since switched internet providers and now has much faster and more reliable internet, the internet was out for a couple of months in 2015. Although the fact that we didn't have internet was frustrating in itself, the tipping point for me was that we were not being communicated with from management. I just wanted to be told the truth. Tell me why I don't have internet and give me an honest timeframe as to when I might be expecting it to return. We were provided a temporary solution of mobile hotspots; however, most residents quickly burned through the allocated data and were again stuck without internet. BUT....management as I mentioned, has definitely changed for the better here at The Pointe. During a recent spring snowstorm, our internet went out. Having had such a negative experience with such situations in the past, I expected nothing different this time. But as I walked down the stairs to get into my car to go to class, I noticed a new sign on the entryway door. It stated that management was aware of the internet situation and was attempting to fix the problem. "Wow" I thought. This is nice, now I know that they know something is wrong and that they are working on a solution. In addition, The Pointe was tweeting live updates about the situation on its Twitter account. So nice to know what was going on as it happened rather than being left in the dark as we were in the past. So things are definitely turning around and really might be the reason that I resign a lease here at the Pointe. If you've lived in Laramie during the summer, you'll know that weather is pretty mild, but can get up into the 80s and so air conditioning is nice to have on those really hot days. Over the last two summers that I've lived here, the air conditioning hasn't worked at all...instead, "freezing up" and so you're better off just using the blinds and opening windows. Now, some of the other perks of living at The Pointe include a shuttle that runs to and from the University of Wyoming so that you do not have to pay for parking on campus, a large theater room that can be fun to hang out in and watch shows with friends, computer labs and study rooms to get homework done in, and a nicely equipped gym. The gym has the basics, a couple of treadmills, a couple of ellipticals (if they are not still broken....kind of cheap equipment but nice to have nonetheless), free weights, a Bowflex machine, jump boxes, and although I've never used it, a tanning booth that is free for tenants to use.

I used to live here and was NOT HAPPY. My roommates were disgusting and management did nothing…read moreabout it. The maintenance guy was simple-minded, too, which was probably why he had so many uncompleted work orders according to other reviews I've read. The shuttle driver at the time was super friendly and we all loved him. I hope that the higher ups for The Pointe knows what an embarrassment of a manager they have and that she's the reason that place is going belly-up and all the bad reviews they have. So glad to be out of there and I highly recommend to live ANYWHERE ELSE.
