I've lived at the Pointe since August 2015 and while under previous management there were issues, ever since Tiffany became manager I've been very pleased with how the property has been run.

I lived at Alight for two years and never had any regrets about living there. As a student, I was…read morehoping to find a nice, affordable place to live in Laramie that offered basic amenities and utilities all for one price. I didn't want to have to find a place and work out the logistics of signing a separate contract with cable/internet provider plus utilities to the city. Alight was nice because I paid rent and they took care of the rest. As a student, I was also concerned with keeping my overall cost of living low. While Alight does fall into an upper tier cost-wise, the price that they give you is the price that you pay. Most apartments around Laramie really aren't all that much cheaper when you factor in utilizes. The apartment grounds are well kept and usually very quiet, although I did live in building 11 which placed me away from the central part of the complex. Many reviews complain about animal waste on the premises, which I noticed in my time at Alight. The grounds keeping staff are great about cleaning it up quickly, management just needs to be more strict about enforcing the rules. I requested an apartment on the third floor in the preferences on my application, knowing that I would be annoyed with any noise from above. Management did a great job of meeting my preferences and matching me with very compatible roommates. The internet provider that Alight partners with is a third party that I had never heard of; however, the internet service provided is seriously fast (I averaged about 200Mbs down via wifi with ping of maybe ~10ms) and very reliable. I was in and out of the main office every day because I used their free coffee bar and shuttle, staff was always very professional and fun to talk to. Their study room was always a great resource for studying and printing documents. Over the course of two years, I put in only a few maintenance requests that were always taken care of within a day or two. The maintenance guys do a great job of taking care of things around the complex. One of them has even taken the time and initiative to build some of the tables and furniture in the common areas, very cool! Some reviews have commented on crime or the front gate, which I always perceived to be a non-issue. The complex is also in a great part of Laramie, adjacent to the golf course, hiking trails, and the hospital. The East Express lot is right down the road if you need to utilize campus transit services. Your experience at Alight Laramie will be what you make of it, management is great to work with and very reasonable. I was a bit of a non-traditional student and I can see how this would be a great place for traditional students and non-traditional students alike. When I was figuring out where to live, I was divided between Alight and The Pointe. I toured both places and told staff at both to "call me Monday and we'll see where I stand". Only the staff at Alight called me back and that's why I gave them my business, I'm really glad I did. Alight offers great quality of life for Laramie. Like I said, it's a little pricey but I thought it was definitely worth it.

Let's start with moving in, I moved in August 1st 2015, and the apartment I moved into was disgusting. Dirty, stained and smelly. I complained numerous times and they didn't do anything about it. Next thing, living there , the bedrooms are small, you can't rearrange ur room at all there is no space because of the layout, the bathrooms are so tiny and not functional for 2 people, and if something breaks except a couple months before the maintenance people will ever give you the time of day! Moving on to well, moving out. It was hell, H E L L. they pestered me at least 4 times about re signing my lease, refused to give me my deposit back and "lost" all m original documents. Talk about shady. Moral of the story, it's dirty, trash is everywhere, winter parking is a nightmare and the apartments aren't good. Do yourself a favor and go spend the extra money and get yourself a good apartment like the Pointe, or the Verge.

We are moving to Laramie from a different city and Mike took the time to patiently answer any and all of our questions. Mike gave us a run down of the town and educated us on so much more than the basics. Mike is well known in the community and well versed on how things are handled, which made the process much easier. We needed some work done on the home and Mike was full of great references, which was fantastic, as we are new to town and didn't know much about reputable local companies. Mike was quick to respond to texts and calls and went out of his way to make things happen. He made our family feel like we were his most important client and he was great with our children as well. We cannot say enough good things about Mike Welper!

He understands the Laramie market and the real estate process in general very well. He's the best.

The front office staff and the maintenance staff were excellent during my three years in Laramie. I've lived in apartment complexes before where you don't know the front office or maintenance people and it can be frustrating to resolve issues if you don't have a relationship with the management. Fortunately, this is not a problem with Powell Enterprises. They are super friendly, super helpful, and SUPER PATIENT with FAFSA funding. While I don't condone being late on rent, there were many times my first year of law school where I was just buried with work and forgot that the month had changed! Leeann was so kind to me and so patient. So many times, Leeann would ask how school was going and it felt like she really cared about my studies and career, even though she knew that I was a short-term resident. In my three years at Powell, I never had an issue that went unresolved and I never felt more at home in an apartment complex. During law school, I recommended living at Powell Enterprises and am still recommending that if you need a place to live while attending at UW or, even if you are simply a non-student renter, you can't beat the service and friendliness of Powell Enterprises. Safe, quiet, friendly staff, responsive maintenance staff, clean apts: simply put, if I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

The people that work there's now how to run an apartment complex, keep it nice, and because of that they charge a well deserved premium in the Laramie rental market. They fix machines that break. They shovel the walk. They are willing to go the extra mile to help you. They maintain the property. And the heating isn't much of an issue. There is one problem though. You will not get your deposit back. Between the fees you are charged per the lease agreement and the stuffed up "cleaning" bill that you have to pay them to do, you'll be lucky if you get half of your deposit back.
