3 days of towing service cost us $678. There was a lady before us and she was charged $500 for less than 24 hours of towing service used. Something like 10 AM to 7 PM. I would not recommend. I am going to complain to BBB. This is simply not ok. read more

I REEEEALLY wish that I could leave a ZERO star review. I was in a car accident on the 10 W last night that sent my car into the median. I called 911 because my vehicle was not drivable and literally stuck to the median. I was not driving under the influence or speeding. I hit my head so hard it knocked me out. When I woke up and realized what happened I called 911. They dispatched CHP and this towing company as I was disoriented and panicking because I was pinned to the median like a sitting duck in the fast lane on the freeway and I was so afraid I was going to get hit by another car... after 911 hung up, I had to sit there and wait another 10-15 minutes for CHP to show up. I was so close to being hit again at a high speed so many times that I actually called my mom to say goodbye. Fast forward to today at the tow yard... the little girl they had working the front desk tried to make me sign a paper saying that I was going to remove ALL my personal belongings and then was annoyed when I insisted she retype it saying "some of my belongings." She still didn't. But I wrote it in... based on the other reviews I was sure to get valuables out because they seem to have stolen from cars in the past. Makes sense... they bank on you signing a paper that says you took ALL your belongings unless you make them change it so then your stuff is up for grabs. Next, I was told I couldn't take any pics of my car at all. Huh? I need to file a claim for my insurance company... they don't care. Apparently because they're in kahoots with the shady CHP no pics are permitted in the yard. He told me I should have thought about that last night. My bad, sir, you're right after thinking you're going to die and calling your fam to say goodbye to them just in case, the next thing on your mind is taking pictures, especially when the garbage CHP officers are treating you like were driving under the influence or something... passed all their little tests with flying colors btw. The tow truck driver and the CHP officers all knew I wouldn't be able to take pictures of my car once it left the scene and not one of them suggested I do it then. My car is basically stuck there until Monday because of the holiday and the weekend and I'm just continuing to rack up a bill with these pieces of human garbage. read more

One of their vehicles hit my Lexus today and instead of leaving information, they did a hit-and-run. I honestly don't know why they hire unexperienced drivers. When I called them they didn't want to take a accountability very rude, very unprofessional. Honestly I had them tow one of my vehicles once and they scratched it up. I honestly didn't make a big deal out of it because I don't care too much about material stuff. This time I am pissed because they didn't bother even leaving a phone number or insurance. The company in front of my house called them earlier today to tow a mobile home parked in front of a private parking lot and the ended up damaging one of my vehicles in the process. My parents had an accident that left their vehicle disabled. Lara arrived quickly and removed the car from the inner lane, the driver took steps to leave the roadway clean of oil leak, said thank you to the officers that were aiding us and delivered the car to our home. Gilbert is honestly the best tow truck driver, and NEEDS to get a raise FOR SURE! I was stuck almost 80 miles from home and he came to my rescue (I called through AAA and only waited 20 minutes). Great customer service. I called this company to tow my truck. He showed up pretty quickly. As soon as he saw my truck, he told me he can't tow my truck with his towing truck. But, he introduced other tow company to me, and called them and connect us together. He didn't charge anything, and just left after confirmed all good to go. Very nice guy. If there was an option to put no star that is what I would put for this so call company. A relative had a car accident on August 10th, 2015. This was the company that was sent to pick up the vehicle on the highway. It was a bad accident car was a complete loss, when the scene was being cleared there were personal belongings of my relative. The guy from the company informed us there were personal belongings we could pick up. So of course we wanted those belongings. And when we decide to ask about them they said there are no belongings. The company told us nothing was kept. We knew immediately they were lying. My relative clearly remembers a bag of his being there. And sure enough they denied it. The person at the location said they're a family owned business they don't steal or keep belongings. that it is not right. We contacted CHP about this and they stated that the belongings the tow truck company took. It was on their hands. Its pretty low to keep things that aren't yours, right? Especially for a "family" owned business. All we wanted were his belongings being that they meant alot to him. So because of that I write this review. Its a shame that there are businesses like this. Absolutely terrible towing company they say open for service 24 hours but when a customer come to release a car at around 4 pm they refuse because they don't have enough workers. So really shouldn't be saying 24 hour service when you can't help someone. On the other hand can't even get information over the phone because the guy that answers the phone just makes excuses to not to talk to you and hangs up. So if They're not getting money from you they want nothing to do with you terrible customer service. If I can put 0 stars I would!!! read more

Believe the other reviews that say these people are crooks. Had a car impounded by CHP and this tow company was the one who towed the car away. Went to retrieve it next day and the man at the office looks like he didn't want to be there and talks to you as if you're annoying him. He doesn't like to repeat himself. First of all you have a small ass opening in the window and it's a high traffic street you better talk loud don't expect us to hear and understand your mumbling. after looking around we discovered several items not many but several items were missing such as tools from our vehicle. about a year ago i bought a used car that needed some repairs, i made the car work some how but unfortunately i broke down in the freeway, so i search for a local tow truck in the area, i came across with lara's tow, they didnt ask me for no credit card over the phone none of that stuff, the tow truck guy ask me for my location and siad ill be there in 30 mins, just like he siad 30 minutes he was there, towed my car to my house, he was polite, respectful and reasonable when it came to pay for the service, ever since that day for any tow service i need i hire laras tow, i even recommend laras tow to my friends when they come to a need of a tow service. read more

The owner is a horrible person. My son was on a road trip down the west coast; his car caught fire in Riverside and was towed by Lara's. The car had only liability insurance so the towing was not covered. We called to settle the bill and spoke with the owner Martin Lara. He demanded we deliver the title in person and pay towing and storage of over $900. We informed him we lived in WA state and were unable to deliver the title in person to him in Southern CA. We offered to send it registered mail with a notarized bill of sale. He would not budge and remained adamant that we deliver the title to him in person. We also informed him our son was unemployed and had no money and could not possibly pay nearly $1000. We offered to cover the towing charge of $250 and asked if most or all of the storage fees could be forgiven. He replied that he would send our son to collections and would "enjoy ruining his credit". In disbelief we again offered to pay the towing and some of the storage fees and asked suggested receiving several hundred dollars would be better than getting nothing. He replied that it would be worth a few hundred dollars to him to see a young persons credit ruined. read more
