Where do I even begin? Our car was towed two nights ago while my sister was still in the hospital, so we couldn't pick it up right away. I called around 5 PM yesterday, and someone told me they close at 5. When I asked what would happen if we came after hours, they said there would be a $65 late fee. Later, my sister called to confirm, and the woman on the phone was extremely rude. She just kept saying they were closed. When asked what the $65 late fee was for if no one is there after hours, she couldn't give a clear answer--just repeated "we're closed." But the way she said it made it sound like we could still come get the car if we paid the late fee. So my brother went in person around 6:30 PM and was again told there would be a $65 late fee if we came later. Based on that, we returned around 9 PM, but were told it was "too late" and no one could help. Seriously? We didn't even want to come back this morning--because we still didn't know what their actual business hours were. If you check Yelp, it literally says 24/7. And they really need to understand that most people work 9-5 or even earlier, so some flexibility--or at least clear and consistent communication--would help. When we returned this morning, we came in calm. The woman at the desk immediately smirked and said, "You guys came last night, right?" I said yes, because we were told there was a late fee option. She replied, "Well, we told you we were closed." So I asked again, "Then what was the $65 late fee for if no one was there to release the car?" She couldn't answer. She just kept deflecting. Of course I got mad--we went back and forth because I was just trying to get a straight answer. She still couldn't explain anything clearly--so instead, I got kicked out. Here's what makes it worse: the tow truck guy was in the same room the whole time. He didn't say a word or try to help. At one point, he told us we couldn't park outside. Okay, fine--but does he not understand how packed the street parking is around there? We had to circle around just to find a spot. Not helpful at all. And the most frustrating part? We didn't go in to argue. We just wanted to get our car and leave. But the woman's sarcastic attitude and refusal to give a straight answer escalated the whole thing. BEWARE!!!!BEWARE!!! My husbands's truck was towed with my purse and keys. He went to pick up the belongings and was charged $75 just for that trip alone and brought home my purse not knowing that I had cash in my wallet (inside my purse). The amount I had was $287. 2 $100 bills and 4 $20 bills. All they left was $7. It was money me and my daughter were going for Thanksgiving dinner shopping. Anyhow the money was taken. I talked to Kat the supervisor who was not at all concerned that her employees are committing a crime. She then continued to say it could have been the Fullerton Police that took it. I called Fullerton PD and had them check the body camera footage and they never searched the vehicle. She also stated that her tow truck drivers NEVER go into the vehicles when towing which we found out was a lie due to the photo of my husbands truck.(see photo below) We are not sure how they get these contracts with police departments with all these bad reviews and thievery that goes on here, but it was clear to me from Kat's lack of concern and disregard for the crimes being committed by her employees that this is a well known unspoken of thing that goes on here. I will be filing a police report. The investigation is ongoing so I wont say anymore. Other than that the gentleman that helped my husband was well mannered and helpful. Yelp made me choose a star. Last night my daughters car started to have engine trouble. We called this so-called company for a tow & scheduled it with a man who answered the phone @ about 8pm. It was set up for 7:30 am this morning. Needless to say @ 7:45 we called the "company" again and we were told that they had no idea who we spoke to last night night but that they didn't open till 8am. So here we are waiting for an unreliable service! We both (my daughter & i, had to be at work & didnt have time to waste on these types of games)! He gave me the same excuse that he gave another person that complained here "there's only two of us, and I have to get back on the road" when he was backing up my car in the middle of the street, with traffic going by, he just got in and was about to start driving with the passenger door open! However Nick the Manager / owner hung up on me when I asked him how would he like to proceed after getting the quote from salinas tires to repair it because I don't fee I should have to pay for the damage. HERE'S MY 500TH REVIEW ON YELP. So here's the short story: Around 10:20PM on 01/24/19, I was going SB on the 57 when all of a sudden, some huge object flew towards my hood and ricocheted to my windshield, completely damaging it. I was able to pull over and called AAA immediately. After giving my information, they dispatched a gentleman named John to the scene. He came within 10 minutes and hooked up my car and even took it to the main street after calling CHP so they can make a report. Once that was done, he professionally towed my car all the way back home. I've had many good experiences in the past with the towing services that AAA sends over, but this guy really seemed to love what he does and customer satisfaction was #1 for this guy. I couldn't not give this guy a tip because of his professionalism and being able to communicate with me in a friendly manner. Contracted this company through AAA Initially started out great until I was informed that my tow would cost upwards of 280 dollars because my premium status wouldn't take effect until January via AAA I expressed my concern and stated that I would have my wife call another tow . Edgar then proceeds to tell me that they (the company) wouldn't accept the call because they were already there. My wife talked reason into me and persuaded me to pay the fee. Edgar then says " we'll I'm not about to go back and forth with you " mind you HES not even the technician that is going to be towing my truck because he did have the right equipment. I left work early because I had several errands to do before throwing a birthday party for my daughter with her friends. As I approached my car, I saw that it was a little tilted to the right. I thought to myself, I must have parked it really crooked in my haste to get into work. I checked the left side of the car and it was parked straight and well. I walked to the right side and saw that my front right tire was completely flat. Thoughts started going through my head. Again??? My car must be a magnet for punctures. Murphy's Law is working overtime. I can't be late because kids are waiting to get picked up in an hour and a half. I immediately contacted AAA and they provided an estimated wait time of 30 minutes for a technician to arrive on site. The parking lot at my work is huge and has a couple of hundred cars on the lot. I was worried if I will be found in this sea of cars. I was amazed and impressed when I saw the tow truck on my rear view mirror after waiting in car for only 15 minutes. Yeay, I am saved! The technician greeted me with a smile and gave me a friendly reassurance that my tire would be replaced quickly and I will be on my way back on the road. He also gave good suggestions on repair options or just replace the tire completely. It took him approximately 10 minute to replace my tire(move the car, remove the spare, remove punctured tire, replace tire and mount the punctured tire in the spare section). The technician performed this task in the sweltering, humid heat of the afternoon. *APPLAUSE* I was safely on the road and was able to get my errands(i.e. pick-up ballons, cake, favors) completely done and was on time to pick-up my daughter and her friends after school. The prompt response time truly helped me in making my daughter's birthday a special one without delay. I am very grateful and thankful for the excellent service I received. read more
