This was the worst hair experience I have ever had in all my life. I went in for a highlight and gray regrowth touchup and Jenny/Genevieve let the highlights on the left side and back of my head process too long and a ton of my hair broke off. I went from approximately 20" hair length to sections that are no more than 2" long. It looks like my hair was chewed off. This is going to take YEARS to recover from and I truly think her license should be revoked. I suggest avoiding this salon at all costs unless you want to potentially leave bald.... read more

I had a great experience start to finish here. Booking was simple and they sent many reminders and opportunities to cancel or reschedule. I was in town for a black tie wedding and didn't want to stress about hair/makeup. Selisse gave me a great blowout that was exactly what I wanted and held up in the Charleston heat! Amanda did my makeup and knocked it out of the park. She gave me what I asked for to a T and was also a blast to hang out with. Not the mention the lounge was so cool with speak easy vibes! On a complete whim, I booked a haircut with Alana (chose her because she's from NC, and I am in town from there for a conference) because my hair just needed some love, and I'd been too busy at home to make that happen. Alana was lovely--detail-oriented, professional, and she listened thoughtfully to everything I told her about what I loved and hated going on with my "do." Highly, highly recommend her! My stylist Selesse was punctual, polite, and she styled my hair exactly how I wanted it: a simple, unfussy, yet elevated version of my normal, everyday hair. She was a total pro and finished the job in under an hour. The receptionist who helped manage the appointment was communicative and friendly throughout, and handling payment over the phone was a breeze. I would not recommend this salon. I went to this salon because one of my friends got her hair done and it looked beautiful. I booked a balayage appointment over the phone with the receptionist for an 8 o'clock appointment. I was specific about the earliest time because I had a class in the afternoon. I showed up at 8 and she said my appointment wasn't until 9:15. No one told me this, but I left to get breakfast and came back. At 9:15, I was told I was only having a consultation and not actually getting my hair done. When I booked my appointment to get my hair actually done, I had it scheduled for 4pm. At 3:30 day of, I got a call asking if I could come in at 6 because someone had decided to do something else to their hair and I wouldn't have to wait if I came at 6. I came back at 6 and she was putting full coverage foils on another client. I waited until 630 when the receptionist finally came to give me a cover and I decided to leave because she wasn't close to done with her client. read more

The salon is so welcoming and has such a cool vibe. I love getting there a little early before appointments just to relax, have champagne and listen to good music! My favorite place in the world!! The atmosphere of this salon is amazing, and the stylists are the best! Ethan is my hair stylist and I will never let anyone else touch my hair. He knows how I like my color and cut and listens to what I want, while adding his own input on the shape of the cut to best compliment my face and color to keep it easy to maintain since I don't get my hair done but every so often. It always turns out better than I could imagine! He's super helpful at keeping my hair healthy! I have never had my hair done by him and not love it!
