Most recently, I stopped in to pick up a bouquet for a friend's birthday. I gave an approximate budget, a preferred color palette, and they went to work at the bouquet bar. Halfway through I remembered it needed to be cat-safe and they remade most of it for me! Staff makes pleasant conversation while working, and it's fun to see what others come in to pickup. They have options for color of the paper wrap, and they also have small cards with care info. It turned out lovely and it's so fun to be a participant in the creation process.

Their selection is impressive for a local shop -- they do a wonderful job with both elegant bouquets and whimsical, festival-style arrangements. Everything I ordered looked far better in person than in the photos: colors were vibrant, stems were well hydrated, and the arrangements lasted nicely for days. What stands out is the staff's attention to detail and willingness to personalize. The team asked great questions about the recipient and the occasion and suggested thoughtful substitutions when an item was out of season. Pricing is reasonable for the quality, though specialty designs can run toward the higher side -- understandable for hand-crafted work, but worth noting if you're on a tight budget. Sammy's Flowers is a dependable, creative florist with friendly service and excellent florals. I love going in and getting flowers arranged. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a personal touch and long-lasting blooms.

My husband and I both thought the bouquet looked old. I called and they transferred me to Becky. When I told her about our issue she was on the defensive from the start. She told me that everything was fresh and the roses were high dollar amount that they had brought in. She rattled off the flower names, which I had no clue what flowers she was talking about. She could have said the white filler wasn't really brown it had to bloom yet (which it hasn't yet). The roses looked several days old. She was irritated with me but did send a replacement the next day, which was beautiful.

I hate living so far away from my sister (MSY - PDX), and being as close as I was that day, I felt so hopeless. While I received positive updates via text while I was in sessions, I wasn't getting to hear from my sister who I knew was scared and stressed out. So I went on the handy dandy Yelp app and found Market Street Floral and their option for Delivery or Pickup. I checked out their site and found the "Happy Day" for $45. I think it ended up being around $60 for delivery. There is an option to create a note and I also asked for them to call her husband before delivering since us Fords like our sleep. I did this all while in my sessions and fingers crossed hoped that everything would go well without talking to anyone. Ashton's husband was called and the flowers delivered. They were absolutely beautiful and made her day. Though her apartment is quaint, she carried her bouquet from room to room since they made her so happy. I love beautiful flowers but it's the best when they smell good too, and while smell-o-vision is yet to exist, I've been told these smelled amazing. And! And! They hand wrote the note I put into their form online. Love this little detail. Thank you so so much, Market Street Floral, for making my sister's day a Happy Day. ;)
