Wendi at Old Town Florist makes some of the most beautiful and well thought out arrangements I've ever seen! I've used her services on multiple occasions, and the flowers that have been delivered have always stunned the recipients with their elegance, harmony, and balance. I'm pretty useless when it comes to flowers, but I wanted to bring something nice for a friend who had just lost a family member. I assumed I could come in and pick something ready-made out of a display. Instead, a very nice man asked me what I was looking for and my price range and assembled a gorgeous bouquet on the spot. I now have the feeling it would have been better etiquette to call and order ahead of time, but he didn't make me feel awkward at all - he dropped what he was doing to help me and was super quick and polite. I'm going to make more of a habit of giving flowers as gifts, and this place is now my go-to! read more

I live in St. Louis but wanted to send a welcome gift to a dear friend and former colleague who just moved to Portland to start a new job at Portland State University. I called Old Town Florist (because I avoid 1-800-style services and believe in supporting local!) and they could not have been more helpful. I ordered a snake plant for her first day at her new office--meaningful because it was the same kind she once gave me. I emailed my note for the card and assumed it would be printed. Instead, they handwrote it--beautifully! My friend said the plant was perfectly wrapped and thoughtfully presented. She's already declared Old Town Florist her "new go-to florist." Old Town Florist delivered more than a plant--they delivered a first-day moment of joy, comfort and care. Thank you for helping her feel at home in Portland. read more

Wow, I thought this kind of customer service was dead and gone.... I'm blown away! I placed an online order for my daughter's birthday which was the day after Mother's Day this year. Totally knew I was taking a chance since florists are always slammed that weekend and recovering for the next week so I wasn't going to be too picky. In the special instructions I expressed all of that, submitted my order and hoped for the best. Within minutes I received a text from Jeff letting me know they had it covered and they would take good care of her. Wait, what?? Such a great experience already! Monday rolls around, delivery in downtown Portland is flawless and my daughter was absolutely over the moon with her flowers. Thank you Jeff and team for being the highlight of her day, you are appreciated and the arrangement is beautiful... cannot recommend highly enough! read more

This was the best bouquet I've ever received, and I'm 80 years old! I have recommended it several times.

My children moved to Portland pre-Covid. I'm 2000 miles away. On Valentine's Day, I tried for four days before to order flowers and nobody would guarantee a delivery. Most did not bother to return my calls or emails. Luckily, I found this florist! I bought a bouquet, (artistic design by them). My daughter, the recipient, worked in a florist shop during college. She knows flowers. The flowers arrived, despite the fact that Portland was hit by a massive snow storm and many didn't get out that weekend . She absolutely loved them, they were beautiful. I will always use this florist for future orders! read more

They gave me same day service for very nice arrangement that my daughter was surprised to receive for her birthday,

I loved the artistic exotics. Absolutely stunning. They were for a friend who was a florist in another state and she couldn't stop taking pictures of them. The service and ordering was impeccable. I'm so impressed I wouldn't go anywhere else now. read more

My daughter is performing in a show at the Portland Center Stage at The Armory and we weren't able to be there for opening night. Looked at reviews and pictures on Yelp to figure out which shop I wanted to use to send flowers and decided on Old Town Florist! The gentleman taking my order was extremely helpful in suggesting an option that matched my description of what I wanted! A glorious, vibrant and gorgeous bouquet was delivered to the theatre for opening night so we could be there for the Break A Leg opening! I SO appreciated this lifeline to help us support our kiddo from afar! read more

This is our go-to florist every time we have flowers delivered for our mom. They do an amazing job, always get the delivery done on time, and the arrangements are spectacular. I'm one of the annoying clients who doesn't know anything about flowers nor what I want. I cannot name three different flowers. I call old town, I tell them I want to spend X amount of money (usually $80-$100), and I want it to be perfect. They always deliver. My mother is very specific about what flowers she likes. She is not easily impressed. She is always blown away by how good a job old town florists do. I'm not sure what I would do without old town! Much thanks! read more

One can only HOPE for the best when calling from yonder/out of state (fingers, toes, eyes were crossed)! One BELIEVES they're describing what they wish for 'perfectly' (ha ha), yet you can't quite be totally confident and all along am thinking HOW particular (or passionate about 'stuff') the person receiving this delivery is. Wendi /Old Town Florist NAILED IT, and then some. I appreciated the choice to listen to me (not just hear, "blah blah blah").... the arrangement was gorgeous and a HIT... aim was to capture some of the vibrant colors and vibes of Mexico, it did just that! read more

The flowers were nice. Not the best service in the world. The owner (I think his name is Jeff) is pretty rude. Condescending. Next time I need flowers I'll be going to a florist who respects the people living in the neighborhood. Avoid read more

Excellent service and arrangement! I ordered same day delivery in the morning and they were delivered to my girlfriend by 4pm. She absolutely loved the flowers and they brightened her day. I will definitely be a repeat customer moving forward. Thank you! read more

I wanted to send something nice to a clients office who had recently passed away. I ordered a potted floral plant basket. I know the office staff really well, and I had a feeling they'd like something that they could have for a while. Also, I know they have a garden they love to keep up. After placing my order, I received a call from Old Town Florists that they were out of stock with some of the plants included in the basket. They could either do an indoor plant, or I'd have to wait until the following day for delivery. I opted for waiting. I received a call and an email from my client thanking me and that the basket was stunning. They loved it and thought it was very thoughtful. The only thing I would have appreciated was a discount on the $18.00 delivery charge I was billed for given I was no longer getting same day delivery. Other than that, the communication was good, and the arrangement was really appreciated. read more

Impressed! Ordered online, since they were closed at the time I tried to order. Chose an arrangement close to what I wanted, and made the note "does not need to look exactly as pictured. Looking for something tropical and bright (specifically yellow)." In awe of the arrangement sent. Great diversity of flowers and creativity in the arrangement! Perfect wedding inspo for the bride to be :) read more

What a great experience! I ordered an arrangement for my wife to be delivered on Valentine's Day, and requested that they deliver the flowers by 4PM. Well, the night before V-Day, I remembered that my wife was going to get off work at noon that day! In a panic, I called them right when they opened at 8AM, explained the situation and asked if there was ANY way they could deliver them before noon. The helpful gentleman on the phone said they would dig through their 100+ arrangements, and call me back when they found it. Sure enough, a few minutes later he called and said they were going to deliver them to her immediately! Shortly thereafter, I received a call from a VERY happy wife. Old Town Florist truly went above and beyond, and I will DEFINITELY call them in the future, and recommend them to all of my friends. Oh my gosh! I definitely picked the right place to help me with my sister's surprise engagement night. The bouquet was even more beautiful than I expected and was the perfect addition to their dinner table. On top of the gorgeous bouquet, the customer service was A+! The restaurant didn't open until 4 pm, with Old Town Florist closing at 5 pm. They did not hesitate to ensure they would be their as soon as they opened ready to deliver, they were so so kind. I will be using them again in the near future and for all of my floral needs form here on out! read more

We needed a last minute floral arrangement for a grieving friend. Since we are in the middle of the COVID19 shelter in place order, we were unsure who would be able to accommodate us. We live in the Pearl and often walk by Old Town Florist, but have never gone into their shop. When our usual florist did not answer the phone, we rang Old Town Florist...and we are beyond impressed! I discussed with the florist what the arrangement was for and provided our budget. The florist even ran the arrangement out to our car! The arrangement was GORGEOUS (pics included in review). We will keep Old Town Florist top of mind next time we need flowers. Many thanks! read more

I have mixed feelings about Old Town Florist. My long distanced boyfriend has used them in the past - several times. One time the red roses died two days after receiving them. Which I'm sorry if you are paying $100+ for flowers they should last you a little longer, but then again they are flowers so you never know. The other thing is the card - now this may seem silly or unimportant to some but when you are receiving flowers from a loved one or for a special occasion some may want to keep the card. IE WEDDINGS, FUNERALS, ANNIVERSARIES, ETC - you know what I mean. You may put the card on your fridge, keepsake box, whatever/wherever - it's special and important. Every time I receive flowers from them the card is NEVER signed from the sender, kinda odd, but the handwriting looks as though a 4 year old used their non-dominate hand. The arrangements are classic and clean though. read more

Old Town Florist is the best! Whether you are sending out flowers for Valentine's Day, birthdays, thank yous or just because, they have you covered. Their flowers look and smell great (I tend to go with the stargazer lilies)! I have tried several florists (many online) over the years, and none of them have been as good of quality as Old Town Florist... Plus who doesn't like getting a Yelp discount for checking in? Next time you think of sending that special someone or someones (I don't know your life :P), I would recommend giving Old Town Florist a shot. read more

Thank you Wendy, my two orders were perfectly distributed and both recipients were thrilled! Thank you for shooting over the pictures so I could decide between all you had to offer. Wendy's help went above and beyond anything I've received with other florist. (I'm still waiting for a call back from the #1 Florist in Portland). LOL! Old Town has won hands-down and will be receiving all of my business in the future. Their customer service is outstanding! And the plants delivered were beautiful and healthy. I've been meaning to write this review for a while... My husband and I had to make a last minute decision to put down our beloved dog Sandy, and while I didn't have much time to make preparations I decided that I wanted my sweet boy to wear a beautiful floral garland as he passed on to the next life. I called Old Town Florist and they were extremely sweet and kind and didn't judge my request in any way whatsoever. When I went to pick up the garland the next day, which was absolutely gorgeous and perfect with white flowers and foliage, I was told not to worry about the payment and of course I immediately burst into tears. These people do amazing flowers, and have big hearts. Thank you so so much for helping make a terrible day as peaceful and beautiful as our doggy deserved. It meant the world to us. read more

Despite this place being small, they have an excellent selection of flowers as well as some really cool potted plants. Although it is a pretty small area, when you walk downstairs into the shop, it has a really nice cozy feel to it. I called almost every florist on the west side of PDX and this was the only one that carried a money tree that I so needed to get my boyfriend. The employees working there were really nice, knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. I picked out my plant and asked if I could switch it to a different pot which they were really nice about doing for me. They even decorated the base of the plant with some cool rocks that matched the pot...without charging me anything extra - I was stoked! read more

Old Town Florist really walked the extra mile for me! For my birthday my friends from oversees ordered flowers for me online. The address they gave, was an old one and the flowers arrived at the wrong address and where send back by the apartment building once they realized I did not live there anymore. The Old Town Florist send a couple of emails to my friends to notify them that the flowers were not correctly delivered by the date requested, but these bounced back. The old town florist than googled my name and found out where I work and called me at my job to let me know that they have tried to deliver the flowers. When I called them back, they apologized for not being able to deliver the flowers in time, no word about my friends using the wrong address in the first place. The next day early morning I received the wonderful flowers of the Old Town Florist delivered to my new home. Thanks so much for this excellent customer service and the wonderful flower arrangement. read more

I called these folks a little late on the morning of the day we needed our flowers delivered. My bad, I'd forgotten to set it up the day before. We live out of town and needed something sent to our birthday girl on her special day. These guys really came through! My cell dropped the call 3x during my order, but the gal on the other end of the phone just patiently hung in there while we got it together. They then created a gorgeous bouquet of roses, tulips and hydrangea - in terms of flower value for the dollar AND in terms of how pretty it was, it totally surpassed my expectations when I saw the picture - and had it in my daughter's hands by late mid-day. Beautiful flowers = 1 happy birthday girl and 1 happy mama. I will be calling this florist anytime we need flowers delivered in the Portland OR area. Thanks, Old Town Florist! read more

Amazing, personal customer service. I hear that's a tall order in the floral game. These guys nailed it. So my main squeeze knows I like a little attention on Valentine's Day--and has turned to these folks in the past because they are local and close to my work. This year at the Valentine's Day Rodeo I got another bouquet from Old Town, but (mostly because I'm part moron) I emailed the business to question how to perk up my buds as they were looking a little less than perfect. Instead of calling me out on my idiocracy, instead of telling me to just wait for the magic, instead of telling me special old wives tales of revitalizing flowers--they promptly called me and informed me that my "happiness was a priority," and delivered another bouquet ON VALENTINE'S DAY.On the busiest day of the year for florists. I said they could wait if they needed to, and I understood--but they refused. They wanted me to have a bomb bouquet for V Day. With the second bouquet came fancy fancy chocolate and a personal guarantee from the owner. What to the What now? Who does that? I was blown away. **and it is worth mentioning the personal guarantee from the owner didn't disappoint. They are beautiful. Thanks to both Jim and Wendi! read more
