The bouquet made a good impression and looked very nice. The flowers were fresh and well selected. I just expected it to be slightly bigger.

I ordered several floral pieces, and overall I'm happy with the quality. The main bouquet looked stunning -- beautifully arranged and exactly the style I wanted, though the flowers wilted sooner than expected. The table arrangements were lovely as well, just a bit smaller than I anticipated. Delivery also arrived later than scheduled, which caused some inconvenience. Still, despite these small issues, the floristry itself was thoughtful and well-crafted. read more

Floral Sunshine knocked my wedding out of the park. The flowers were my favorite part of the event decor and really elevated the event to the next level. It's been weeks and I am still thinking about how beautiful the flowers were. My experience with this team was awesome. They were super descriptive during the quoting process and asked a lot of questions. I haven't been to many weddings so mostly shared a Pinterest board for inspiration and they literally nailed it. I didn't realize how expensive flowers can be until I started my planning process, but Floral Sunshine was the most reasonably priced compared to other quotes I received. My aunt loved the bouquet that Floral Sunshine delivered to her. She said it was beautiful. I guess that's what's most important. However, Floral Sunshine could have been slightly friendlier on the phone when I ordered, didn't confirm with me when they made the delivery, and I'm not sure they even rang the bell when leaving the flowers by the front door. So the flowers ended up sitting on the front doorstep overnight. But the flowers were still in good shape the next morning when they were discovered. read more

As I planned my 1 year anniversary and first trip to Portland; I had to order flowers to be delivered to the location where we'd be staying. Well, I placed an order for Ranunculus with a pretty well known floral site, but they were unable to fulfill my request of providing only red ranunculus. I had to cancel that order because it was not what I wanted for this special day. So, I Yelped local florist in the area of Portland that we'd be staying and found Annie at Floral Sunshine. She took my call while on the go, pulled her car over to speak to me safely and took my order. I specified I'd like all red ranunculus for this arrangement and she said "no problem." I also asked for some to be in bloom and some not. Again, she said "no problem." I asked for a specific delivery date and we were all set. Then the day of; I could not be more happy with the services provided. The delivery arrived at 10:45am and my love was extremely surprised as well as impressed with the arrangement. We had Annie design our flowers for our wedding and so delighted with how they came out. She was able to work with my budget of flowers for our large bridal party, and all the decorated areas and designed a BREATHTAKING arrangement for our chuppah. Annie made me the most magical olive leaf crown for my baby shower. I sent her photos which she duplicated perfectly. I told her to feel free to embellish as she see fit and they weaved in some lavender which was such a subtle, beautiful touch, not to mention I loved walking around in my little cloud of lavender at the shower. We were having a wedding in July 2014, and we met with Annie a month and a half or so beforehand. We went over what we would prefer in terms of flower aesthetic (we were doing a more sparse but elegant feel), but she seemed to prefer bricks of flowers, which was the polar opposite of what we wanted, saying that our ideas wouldn't "read." Everything she was suggesting was over the top; she simply didn't understand what we were trying to accomplish. Eventually we talked her down to something we thought we could live with, and she drew up several ideas as of how to accomplish that, and said that she would come back to us with price quotes on the different ideas and we could choose what we wanted at that point. At this point we were cautiously optimistic, thinking that maybe we just needed to arrive at a point where we could agree on a vision. She said she would get back to us within the week. We never heard from her again. We eventually decided that trying to contact her as to the state of our wedding floral arrangements wasn't worth our time, due to her inability to deliver on what we had wanted from the beginning. We instead went to Sammy's in the Pearl. In the end, we had the wedding we wanted: small, elegant arrangements, exactly how we had planned. People loved them. They "read" just fine. I cannot recommend this business. The glowing reviews from everyone else baffle me. read more

I ordred an arrangement to be delivered a couple weeks ago. I didn't personally see the arrangement, but the recipient raved and raved about how amazingly beautiful it was. The most important part of this review, is to speak on the service received. Annie was incredibly friendly & accommodating. She delivered the arrangement the next day as promised. To top it off, there was an issue with my payment but her knowing I was expecting a new baby at any moment, she didn't want to bother me with it, and didn't even call me to discuss it for almost two weeks later! Weddings need flowers, and who else to call than Annie? We called her and she came back to us with her ideas of what she though would help out. Also the fiancee (er wife) looked at some photo's of what she wanted and showed them to Annie. She was able to replicate them. Annie also gave some opinions on certain flowers that would be and would not be available since they were not in season. She kept in contact with us. FS doesn't have a store so you can look at. Everything is based online and she will meet up with you to give suggestions and hear your ideas. When my mom wanted two flowers at the host tables we called Annie and she was able to provide them. She delivered the flowers to the house and to the location of our wedding (Wong's Kings). She also provided some flowers to drop on to the isle which came in handy when the flower girl got stage fright and didn't drop the peddles like she was suppose to. Annie and her team at Floral Sunshine created absolutely stunning bouquets for my wedding this past weekend. The main flowers were white hydrangeas and stargazer lilies. The arrangements were lively, full, and put the perfect elegant touches on our ceremony and reception. The ceremony had two large bouquets on either side of our paster and a welcome bouquet. And the reception was adorned with centerpieces for each table - with each vase wrapped in ribbon to match the bridal colors. The gift table and the guest book table each had their own bouquets. And all 7 of my bridesmaids had STUNNING purple and pink flowers, roughly 9 inches across. My bouquet was absolutely breathtaking... at least a foot across, and a perfect blend of our wedding flowers with complementing roses. I cannot say enough for the amazing work Annie and her team did. After quite a bit of research on local and online florists, I called Floral Sunshine and spoke with Annie. I was in charge of ordering two standing sprays for my grandmother's funeral, and she was very helpful in a difficult time. Annie did a wonderful job with our wedding bouquets, boutonnieres, and aisle dressings. I knew the colors and feel that I wanted for our floral arrangements, but I was hardpressed to even name types of flowers, let alone choose ribbons and greenery. Annie filled in the gaps for me and we got beautiful blooms with perfect succulents and greenery. I would have appreciated more contact initiated by Floral Sunshine or quicker acknowledgement of my emails, but I knew from the planning meeting that Annie was very good at her job and could be trusted to come through on event day. When my wife and I were planning our wedding, which would take place in Portland, we were living at the time in Los Angeles. We did not make one trip to Portland until the day before our wedding. Annie at Floral Sunshine was responsive to both our email and phone communication and helped us turn our ideas of colors and flowers into floral arrangements that were beautiful. She emailed us photos of flower, bouquet, and arrangement samples that helped us get a picture of what the flowers would look like on the day of our wedding. We must admit that we were anxious when the day of our wedding arrived. Our only communication with Annie to this point had been through email and only one or two phone calls. Our first glimpse of Annie's work was on the morning of our wedding when we observed the arrangements in the church and received the boutonnieres and bouquets. These had all been delivered to the church before we arrived, so we still had not met Annie in person. Her work was better than we imagined and we continued to be impressed by her work when we arrived at the reception after the wedding to see the centerpieces she had arranged at the guest tables. They were beautiful! All in all, we would recommend Annie and Floral Sunshine to everyone and anyone. I had ordered bride and groom floral garlands for my daughters Hindu wedding ceremony. Order was paid for and confirmed a few days before the wedding. When we went to pick up the order on the day of the wedding, there was complete surprise and confusion. No garlands were ready. Apparently the owner was out of town, and the person present in the shop had NO idea of what to do. No garlands were available. Some hastily strung flowers were delivered to the wedding venue, completely ruining the look and feel planned well in advance. Mistakes happen, but a wedding is a once in a lifetime event. Those who service weddings should understand this. Negligence is not acceptable. I am very very disappointed in the professionalism of Floral Sunshine. Would definitely not recommend this vendor. read more
