The lady that works the desk is extremely rude and condescending. I went to sell a ring and she wasn't informative and had an attitude. I spoke with the appraiser and they low balled me. A 10k ring pure gold wedding band and they wanted to give me a measley $100. I left and I don't recommend this tiny dump. read more

Terrible, rude customer service. We've come here a few times in the past, never again. We brought in my wife's wedding ring to re-size & solder the set together. After four days and no return call, we called back. The owner (after wasting our four days) told us the ring was in bad shape & was basically worthless!? Made no sense to me, but she told us it couldn't even be re-sized. Of course we took the piece to another shop and had no problems at all. Glad I did, because the price was much more reasonable! It's rude to tell a lady that her wedding set is garbage, & this set was actually nice! In the end, we're happy to have a new jeweler, so everything worked out for the best. read more

Brought in my ring for sizing, because 1- got it at Macy's and they were going to ship it elsewhere, 2- when they did it first they did a bad job. Tina was super nice and told me what may happen and what she was going to do. Anyway, 4 days later I got my ring all nice a shiny, fixed and sized properly! I dropped off my vintage wedding ring from my husbands grandma that recently passed away for a quote to have it resized. The lady at the counter told me that the ring was in good hands and that they would call me with a quote. She told me it would be a little delayed because the person that does quotes was out of town. A few weeks went by I hadn't heard anything so I called, they told me that my ring was done. I was MORTIFIED, I did not ask them to do any work at all! They altered my treasured ring to the point where it doesn't look recognizable and tried to charge me $700 for it! They replaced the vintage diamond setting with an ugly modern one. I'm still upset months later, I don't even wear it anymore. I feel I was robbed, we ended up paying nothing for it because my husband and I were and still are extremely upset. My husband had to demand the ring back and make a scene because of these incompetent people. Do not go here if you value your ring that you want resized. That's all I asked for and they ruined my vintage ring from the 1960s forever. read more

I have used Larkin before to resize rings and had a nice experience. I had bought a right hand ring off etsy and brought it in to Larkin to have resized. I asked them about also doing an appraisal. They looked at the ring through the jewellers microscope and then had me look. The woman I worked with pointed out the wear, where the diamonds has been incorrectly reseated, and taught me about why the diamonds looked different in the ring (It was a 100+ year old ring and some must had fallen out and been replaced). They didn't try to sell me anything and were very kind. They took time out to make sure I was happy and informed with the ring, even if I didn't buy it from them. read more

I came into Larkin Jewelers to have two medallions connected and to order a chain for them. I left the medallions with them, being told I would get a call in the next week or so. No one called. I eventually called to check in seven days later and left a message. A week later someone finally called me back. The chains were in. And when I asked whether the medallions had been connected, I was told yes. Five days or so later, I returned to the store to pick up the piece. I spent about 20 minutes waiting for them to find the medallions. I was spoken to rather rudely by two of the female staff, who insinuated that communication between the shop and the business was poor and I had been misinformed. In fact in the three weeks that they had had the medallions, no work at all had been done on the piece. As an excuse one employee asked me whether I knew "just how many repair jobs we get every day". Honestly, no I don't know. But that's not really the point. I trusted you with a job and you didn't do it and then when confronted about it, you verbally lashed out at me, the customer. Thank you, but no. I will be taking my business elsewhere and will advise everyone else to do the same. read more

Brought in a heirloom pearl necklace that needed to be lengthened. Larkin found 18 pearls that matched the original pearls beautifully. The price was right and the work was incredibly good! They matched the 60 year old pearls so well you can hardly tell the new from the old. They also reset a stone in the original setting so nicely you cannot tell it was reset.
