I was putting off taking my wedding in for soldering and new layer of rhodium for many years. I found this jeweler online and gave them a try. Because I have ignored bringing my ring in for so long, I wasn't surprised that it needed some prongs replaced on the small stones in my band. Michael put my ring under a microscope and showed me the ring. He pointed out that one of the prongs on the large stone was severely worn and the others looked very worn too. He recommended considering a repair to the head before I lost my primary diamond. I didn't feel pressured at all to have the work done and he allowed me to ask many questions and consider my options. My final decision was to replace the entire head and move from a 4-prong to a 6-prong setting. I am so happy with the repair and my chosen upgrade to the head to keep my ring safe! Michael gave us the dismal news that the items needed work and had little value overall, seeming sad to express this while showing us the magnified images, explaining repair processes and educating us on how the whole process works. Such exquisite and artistic work! Several months ago I set out to find a jeweler to create a custom mother's ring for my wife. I wanted to support a local business and went to a couple of local jewelry stores, and Clark's was by far the best! Michael was so attentive and spent a lot of time with me designing the perfect piece of jewelry. All three of the stones that I was looking for were blue and Michael spent a lot of time selecting just the right hues for the different stones so that they each complimented each other and stood out. I am big supporter of local businesses and I really didn't want to write this review but this has been the WORST experience with a jeweler. I went to Clark's to have my 3 ring wedding set sized up. First red flag - they don't have a jeweler onsite and send it off. So basically they are the middle man and you will get charged more. Michael (the owner) measured my finger and sent off my rings. He called the day it was due to say that his goldsmith was backed up and it would take 4 more days. When I went to get them- 2 of them fit but the 3rd wouldn't. He then re-measured and sent off the last ring - quoted me a week. Surprise surprise - texts me the day it's due that his goldsmith is running behind and will be delayed 4 more days. I take my husband with me this time (because I feel taken advantage off) and the ring STILL doesn't fit! Michael then dismisses me and tells my husband that I chose that ring size and that it's my fault it won't fit - maybe I had eaten something salty...I was in tears. He also made a snide comment about how he was losing money on my rings. How is that my fault - I didn't quote myself the price, PLUS I had to pay extra each time it got sent back to the goldsmith! At this point we were a month without my ring and already had spent hundreds. We had Michael measure my ring size and 'stand by the size'. My husband picked up my ring their next business day (I refused to step foot in that store) and my ring is too big - he purposely made it too big now. Don't waste your money, time and energy with this 'middle man' and unscrupulous business. read more

I went to Clarks jewelers today after reading a couple reviews. The reviews were five star and after my experience with Mike if I could give 10 stars I would. What a gentleman to do business with. I took in two of my dads old watches they needed batteries and also one needed a watch band. As mike was working on these watches I mentioned to him that my dad was on a fixed income. When we were all done and the transaction was being taken care of Mike told the girl at the cash register not to charge me for the batteries or the installation just for the watch band. Based upon that excellent experience, I returned recently for a battery replacement in my watch, which I left there at the shop because it also needed a new crystal. When I picked up my watch later and put it on my wrist, I didn't really examine it because I was focusing on the enjoyable conversation with Julie and Michael. Later I studied my watch. It looked brand new, more sparkling than I had ever seen it! Clearly, the shop had taken the care to have it cleaned. This is a classy, competent business which goes the extra mile. With ten weeks to go until Christmas, I set out on a mission to restore an old heirloom watch I had given to my wife many years ago. Eight weeks were wasted as the manufacturer, a large retailer, and a big name jewelry store all turned me away after over-promising then under delivering. Everyone was quick to blame COVID for the delays and lack of performance. I had nearly given up hope when a friend recommended I try Clark's Jewelers. Michael had a positive attitude from the start, and took the time to not just inspect the watch, but quickly address several issues he found. He not only made my wife's timepiece operational again, but went the extra mile to clean, polish and provide options for how I can restore the watch in the future. He did all this while I waited! My wedding set was custom designed & made here by the father of the current owner. After 20+ years I still get people who stop and ask about my beautiful rings.
