Overall, not worth paying $65 plus tip for this. I had acrylics on and they did take it off since they don't do acrylics with gel so I got the dipping powder and they had limited colors only about 15 colors to choose from. Just not worth it for me. First and last time coming here, only came to this place because I had to get a fill and was in the area and had to get my "nail fix" today. Two stars for my mani pedi. Thuy was pretty good and mostly gentle. Only a few ouches on my toes. A couple errors on my manicure. The real big problem is my daughters fingers. She kept hurting her, and over trimmed her cuticles. After we left she said her fingers stung and they were inflamed. She put hydrogen peroxide on at home and it literally bubbled up on all the little cuts. Also the acrylic fill she got has different lengths and the polish is messy. We won't be returning! read more

I've been coming here pretty frequently lately and I've been pretty happy with the service and quality of manicure and pedicure. I've walked in and called in advance for an appointment. Like most nail salons, they get overwhelmed when a lot of people walk in and they want to accommodate all of them and they have a difficult managing the fact that they can't. They provide massages with the mani/pedis but I definitely do not come here for that, nor do they do a good job with the foot scrubbing... however the most important part to me of a mani are the nail shaping/filing, the cuticle cutting and the polish application and the Larkspur Nail Spa does a very good job in those three areas so I will continue to patronize this nail salon. I've been to all of the nail places within a 1-2 mile radius of my house and I've been to all of the top rated ones on Yelp. It's hard to find a good nail place in Marin. read more

I don't know why this place has such good reviews. Albeit the people are nice and welcoming, my nails look terrible. Three different people worked on me, which is something i absolutely hate. My toes are fine, but this was after one got messed up. As soon as my toes were painted, they rolled down my pant legs and made me move to another spot. I assume this is when it was messed up. I noticed it right before I left and they offered to fix it. It was my big toe and instead of taking the polish off that toe and starting fresh, the woman dabbed some remover on the messed up spot and started to paint over it. I stopped her right away and asked her to start the nail over again. I was baffled that this wasn't her first thought. Now my toe was messed up and had cotton all over it, and she was just going to paint over it. As for the rest of my pedicure, it was fine, but the massage was seriously lacking. My nails are even worse, see photos. The gel is uneven, bubbly, and all over my skin/cuticles. I have never paid 30 dollars for such a bad gel manicure. And again the massage was pitiful. The highlight was the nice woman I met who was also getting her nails done. I am surprised she came back because the first thing I heard her say is that her polish chipped within 2 days the last time she came. read more

I had a wonderful experience with this salon! Ivy was my nail technician and she did a beautiful job on my nails, and I am picky! She was also really, really nice. Because of Covid, I was able to get my treatment outside in the fresh air, just Ivy and me. Both the manicure and pedicure came with a really relaxing massage. Sometimes when I'm frustrated with my nails, I decide to just be bummed and leave, this time, I spoke up... and I was pleasantly surprised to receive no eye roll, no huffing & puffing. The woman who was in charge (?) came over and quickly cleaned up the polish from around my nails and even used it as a teachable moment for her staff. This place is great. The staff are friendly, they will do your nails inside or out and they all wear masks. They do a great job with my nails and if they mess up they will go back and make sure the nail is perfect. For a regular mani you also get a short back massage. It isn't the most glamorous salon but they deliver on what matters; quality and safety. read more

This was the worst pedicure I've had to date. 10 minutes for $26. The tech I had was rough and cut several of my cuticles and instead of taking care, she scrubbed it with a cuticle brush. When I asked her to cut a nail shorter, she cut it way back until I bled, which could cause the nail to grow back ingrown. Definitely wouldn't recommend. read more

This ain't it chief. This place has very mixed reviews, but they are generally good, which is surprising to me to be honest. I got acrylics here and they hurt to the point of me crying out. My nails bled and became ingrown. My acrylics were crooked and she refused to fix them after I asked. She wasn't gentle or meticulous at all. To make matters worse, a mere three weeks later, a nail chipped off while I was opening a cabinet door. Come to Magnolia Nails, and stay away from this place. read more

I came in wanting acrylic nails, everyone in the store persuaded me to get SNS Dip powder, i had gotten it before and loved it so i agreed. She did not cut my natural nails before applying the nail tips, she cut the tips without asking how long i wanted them. Nails are crooked and the color is patchy and uneven. I should've complained in person but i had already been there for so long and i was running late. I just had the best mother and daughter mani-pedi. Very clean, very friendly, and most importantly, my daughter says this was the best mani-pedi, ever! Some other places have kids mani-pedi but it is not the full service. Usually my daughter gets her nails painted and ends up just waiting and playing on my phone. She appreciated the fact that she got the full treatment to include the hot stone massage. I paid the full mani-pedi price for my daughter but she also got beautiful nail art as well. This place is odd. My normal routine is pedi followed by a 10 min massage while my nails dry. It's a pretty solid system. 2.5 mins into the massage I noticed that dude was only using one hand. I asked "are u going to use both hands?" "No," he said, "we only use one hand." Hmm. Two other employees came over to back him up: "only one hand!" Me: "1.5/minute is steep for a one- handed massage, I'll pay you .75 cents a minute for one hand." With clear consternation in their faces they replied "no, one hand. We can stop the massage." Back and forth a bit then somehow I convinced them that his other hand wasn't doing much, so he might as well use it to give me a full massage. Dude gave in, I win! 30 seconds later I hear "ding!" time's up. They beat me at my own game! 2.5 mins at 1 hand plus 2.5 mins at 2 hands plus 5 mins arguing/ no hands = .75 hands/minute for ten minutes. They must be really good at math. Pedi was decent. In addition to the typical hand and arm massage you now get a shoulder massage too!! Their pedicures are great and they are very conscientious when it comes to those pesky in-growns. This place is AMAZING. I don't go to salons often but this place was divine. The lady, i don't know her name but wish I did, was so kind! I am not a fan of writing negative reviews and I try any place a couple of times to give the benefit of the doubt. That being said, I found most of the technicians well below average. Yes the chairs are nice but who cares when you have people who tear skin with their waxing service and cause bleeding along multiple nail cuticles during both manicure and pedicure services. Further, I had a woman actually break a toenail into the flesh and then try to glue the wet nail back together (which can cause fungal infection). To add insult to literal injury, the costs were well above average. read more
