My nails after getting my gel polish removed from 3 sisters.

Sad to say that the overall quality of my experience was lackluster. I went in to get my gel polish removed and I should have asked how much this service would cost-this is my fault. I have never had this service cost more than $10 previously. At 3 sister I just paid $35 for my gel polish to be removed. I think that this is a very high price considering I not Ally pay this for a gel mani at my local solan in Santa Rosa. Needless to say I will not be returning. Nails were not made even/same length after gel polish was removed. Nails are a rough and uneven texture on top, they did NOT buff them correctly at all. VERY disappointing to have to pay $35 for this experience.

My go-to spot! Angie (the owner) and her staff are the nicest people, they always take care of me even when I don't have an appointment! It's a really pleasant environment to be in and my nails always come out absolutely beautiful. They are very efficient and the prices are wonderful for the quality of work. 100/10 reccomend for anyone looking for a new spot!

We needed to have a girls day so loaded up the SUV and made our way to 3 sisters. Angie, Twee & Lori greeted us and motioned us to some empty chairs. The ladies went to work. Highly recommend this spot

I wanted to try a new salon, so my mom and I decided to get our nails done here. Big mistake. They completely overcharged us and used a horrible method to remove gel nails. They removed it with nail cutters that actually hurt my mom and caused her pain. To make things worse, when I paid with my card, the worker seemed upset and kept asking why I didn't have cash. It honestly felt like she made up the price on the spot. I was charged $85 for Gel X with a very simple design. I'm more than willing to pay for quality work, but this was definitely not it. The overall vibe was uncomfortable and unprofessional. I won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone. read more

The salon was clean and staff was very nice, actual manicure and pedicure was good. I can see why they are a highly rated salon. Sadly, the polish on the pedicure was poorly done. The polish I picked was thick so I saw them try to thin it out with a thinning agent, which is somewhat normal. I should have said something when I saw them apply 4-6 coats of color polish to my big toe to "smooth out" the residual clumpy polish that had been applied. Knowing these were prime for knicks and smudges, I treated it like a wet pedicure for 7 hours until bed and woke up this morning with my big toe smudged and knicked. $60 and that many hours of being mindful of my toes made it for an expensive and unrelaxing shortcut. read more

I would NEVER recommend this place. Not only are they slower than molasses, they did not listen to what any of our group asked for. They also ripped off my nails trying to take off my shellac, causing me to bleed. The vibe also was atrocious. 0/10 read more

The BEST quality work, attention to detail and customer service! I went in about a month ago not knowing exactly what I wanted but they were SO patient and helpful. One of the owners even stayed after the store had closed to make sure that my nails were perfect. Everyone was so so kind and you can tell that the business standards are very high! They used to be good, but now very bad quality. I got gel mani and pedi costed $120. Extremely expensive for very poor quality. The nails started chipping the next day. All the salons I've been to, this was the worst! Gel should last at least a week or two. It was extremely thinly done and not smooth at all. read more

WOW. First off, these nails are stunning. Truly a wonderful experience with Anggie; she's such an artist. Her 30+ years of experience really shows. I had some loose ideas about colors and designs, and she knew exactly how to solidify and actualize my vision into these nails. Stylish, elegant. She also made sure everything was perfect, no bumps or hairs, and she talked me through everything she was doing. Extremely considerate and accommodating. Great nail services. Family owned and run... hence the name of the shop. On weekends it can be a little chaotic inside as they do their absolute best to get all the customers in for same day services. If you aren't in a hurray, it's completely worth a bit of a wait. My go to nail shop changed ownership so I needed to find a new place. This was my first time going to 3 Sisters. I had a regular pedicure & a fill with gel polish. I've been getting my nails done for a long time and this is the first time I haven't had a dremel used, everything was done with a file. My nails were shaped beautifully & painted to perfection. I only give 4 stars because they don't have big comfy pedicure chairs with tubs attached, you sit in what looks like a high backed office chair & they bring a small vibrating tub to you. It's a super basic pedicure that does not include a scrub or paraffin wax, that is extra. It's called a spa pedicure and is $10 more. Everyone who works there was very friendly & the lady who did my nails is the middle sister who was very sweet. It really is 3 sisters who own the place! read more

A Very Distubring Experience This salon is a total rip off! Under no circumstances go there for a manicure. My 17 year-old daughter just got a French Tip gel manicure from them. This is a very simple design and they completely botched it. French tips are supposed to be opaque pink and you can see her nail which is not how it's supposed to be. The French tip is messy and they are too thick. She sat there for 2.5 hours which is absolutely ridiculous! It usually takes one hour to get this done and it seems like the manicurist was untrained. She had 2 manicurists and one of them was the owner. Hard to believe they are so incompetent. And they charged her $70. We will never return to this salon. read more

I am HIGHLY dissatisfied with the customer service. Got my nails done on a Saturday(4/29), by Friday(5/5) they were chipping. As most people do I had previous engagements so was unable to come the next day, Saturday(5/6) and this establishment is closed Sunday(5/7), so here I am Monday(5/8) and I am told that since it's been past two days I have to pay at least haft to get my nails fixed!! THANK YOU SO MUCH THREE SISTERS. I had a really big event that I needed to go to, and could not for the life of me get an appointment anywhere! (Perhaps this was my fault for waiting until the last minute). But I researched on yelp and called everywhere, and no one could take me in. I called Three Sisters around 6 pm, and I think Angie picked up. I explained to her that I had an emergency, and I absolutely needed to get my nails done. She explained that she was all booked up until closing time, but would happy to stay later past closing and see me (WOW) I honestly wanted to cry, it was one of the most thoughtful things a business has ever done to me. I came in right at 7 as they were closing up and vacuuming, and they sat me down with Lin(?) and I was so impressed with her attention to detail! She made sure that everything was perfect and to my liking. I couldn't stop staring at my nails afterwards... They were so beautiful. I will definitely be back. I have been going to 3-Sisters for about 6 years now. It is big enough that I can always get in if I call ahead by a day or two. The prices are very reasonable, it is centrally located, parking is mostly easy, and Angie really does care about doing a good job on every client every day. Of course, life is not perfect. If I ever have a concern for any reason, she really CARES about it and works hard to make me happy. I can be picky, so I appreciate a friendly place doing good work, who really cares about me both as a person and as a customer. I am not someone who wants to "chat it up" with the people who do my nails. I consider it a blessing to be able to just read a magazine, make a call or even close my eyes and chill out! Absolutely LOVE this place!!! I have been coming here since 1997. From day one, customer service has been flawless. You feel like part of the family and are treated with the absolute best care. Lori does my pink and white gel nails. I get compliments every day. I should also mention that I have been getting nails and toes done since 1992 and NEVER had a better experience and results. I got a full set of acrylics (no tips) with shellac and a polish change for my toes. The toe polish is perfect... but the hands came out very thick, uneven... thicker on the sides and front while flat at the top. Some nails are shorter than others and the shape is not all what I wanted. I kept asking her to make the nails more narrow at the tip and I guess my requests did not translate... I really wanted to love this place since it's so close to home and the lady doing my nails was so nice, but with a little baby at home, I hardly ever get the chance to get my nails done and when I do I want a near perfect job and a clean relaxing atmosphere. Wanted to try the new "cat eye" design for Halloween. I didn't know if it would turn out well since most cat eye designs I've only seen on long acrylic nails. But my nails turned out amazing!! I'm totally in love!! I think it probably would look even better in the sun. So excited to show off to my friends. Tu did such a fantastic job. He was very gentle with my nails and took his time. This nail salon is the best in Marin! I cannot believe people give bad reviews just because they don't have spa chairs. I mean cmon people it's about how well they do their job! These lovely sisters opened this salon in the late eighties immediately after arriving to this country. They work side by side and have created an extremely successful small family owned business. About waxing, this isn't my first time here, but this is my first time experiencing this bad feeling. The owner here has been drinking alcohol before serving me. Her wax was left too hot and she didn't blow for cool down before waxing. Maybe it was from working while not sober that she let the wax straighten heat up and burned me badly. When I talked to her to solve this problem, she said because my skin was thin and told me to put on powder and vaseline. No one treated the burn that way and once again this is NOT MY FIRST TIME waxing here . She denied responsibility and did not acknowledge her fault. She said the wound would heal tomorrow, but it wasn't my first time waxing and I knew what it meant to be burned. 4 days have passed and my eyes are still scarred and I am not sure if my eyes are free of scars. She is not responsible or compensating for me at all. She asked me to pay in cash and took a total of $185. She was cruel to cause this incident to me without being responsible and even took a large amount of cash without telling at the beginning. I think people will understand when I say a business only takes cash during this time and is not responsible for its mistake. Be smart when choosing where to give your beliefs.

It wasn't clear if she needed me to take my feet out of the water? Put them somewhere? What was clear was that she was furious with me, but I was confused as to why. In Yelping I noticed others with similar experiences. The owner is no longer at the shop, and after one too many of these uncomfortable visits, I decided to stop. One angry technician generally doesn't undermine a business, but with just two technicians on hand, it can be hard to avoid a negative experience.
