Loved our meal last night! We made a reservation same day and were seated right away! Our waitress was extremely friendly and made sure we had everything we needed! Cocktails were great and the meatballs were great with the sweet ricotta! The chicken LaRosa was honestly a show stopper. The sauce was on the lighter side and creamy and the chicken was still tender and crispy. The vongole was great as well! I love a thicker noodle with clams so I really enjoyed it! LaRosa's is a cute little restaurant. I was torn between ordering the bolognese and the vongole (both my favorite dishes at any Italian restaurant). I went with the vongole. It was good, but I wasn't particularly a fan of the noodles. It was hard and maybe a little too al dente for me. I had to use my knife to cut it. More of a personal preference, I don't do well with spice and felt there were was a lot of chili flakes in the sauce. The Nutella tiramisu was delicious though! I was raised in this town and will never go back to this over priced privileged staff dump Staff are so privileged here they turn away seating and business mid day and all sit on their phones (5 at least) behind a curtain in middle of restaurant because of the air conditioning and will not serve customers. With Restaurant Week coming up, thought I should put this out now. I did call this in and spoke to a couple people however need to have it on Yelp for awareness. If you could fill the arugula salad with shaved Parmesan, as opposed to the tiny cheese threads that are scarce throughout the salad, that would be great. Also putting more than two or three red onions in the salad would help as well. As for the stuffed peppers rather than have most of the pepper stuffed with breadcrumbs, it would be nice if at least half or 75% of the pepper had the beef as the number one ingredient - the way it originally started - read more

I got the chicken parmigiana with rigatoni. It usually comes with spaghetti noodles, but I highly recommend getting it with the rigatoni. It's a cute cafe with pretty close quarters, but very nice ambiance. The menu has pretty select items, they know what they're good at and keep their menu concise. LaRosa's is such a warm and welcoming place. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff is very friendly. I ordered their specialty, the LaRosa's pasta with vodka sauce, and I would honestly go back just for that, it was that good. The portions are huge and satisfying, definitely worth it. (They will start clearing your table while you are eating entree, so do expect to be treated like a passenger from overbooked airline.) I visited this restaurant just today for dinner with my girlfriend. We ordered an appetizer, entrées, four drinks, dessert, and a latte. The food itself was good, but the service completely ruined the experience. While we were still eating our entrées, three different staff members came over at different times asking if we were finished. One staff member in a floral skirt kept hovering angrily, repeatedly trying to clear the table even though we were still eating and drinking. When we ordered dessert, she looked almost upset, and after dropping it off she left the check on the table without a word. The worst part came when she tried to clear my latte while I was still drinking it. When I told her I wasn't finished, she told me that the restaurant only gives each table 1 hour and 30 minutes, and that I'd need to move "somewhere else" with my coffee. Excuse me? Where exactly was I supposed to go? I told her I'd finish quickly and leave, and she walked away without even a basic "thank you" or "hope you enjoyed your meal." If this restaurant enforces a strict 90-minute limit, then it should be clearly stated on the website or reservation page. Rushing customers through a full dinner -- from appetizer to dessert -- in an hour is unreasonable and disrespectful. Was this policy applied to everyone, or just to us? Either way, it left many questions and turned what should have been a lovely night into a frustrating experience. For a $170 check, I expected hospitality and respect, not to be treated like I was at a fast-food chain. Shame on management for ruining the hard work of the chef and barista. I will not be returning to this restaurant or any of its affiliates. read more

I'm so glad we finally got around to trying this place! I always love the *idea* of a chicken parm sandwich, but since I'm not a big red sauce fan I usually end up getting something else. Imagine my delight at seeing the Drunken Chicken Parm on their menu: Chicken parm made with vodka sauce! This was so good, and I finally felt I got to have the chicken parm experience. Our other item was the Caprese sandwich. They have this as a salad, too, so it was a hard choice but we were very happy with our sandwich. Very fresh and a relatively healthy pick. Service was quick - I placed an order with the very friendly staff and stepped next door for about 10 minutes to take care of other business. The food was ready just a few minutes after I got back despite quite a few customers. The shop is cute and has both outdoor and sidewalk tables. These looked comfortable, but it was take-out for us. Saturday I picked up 350 dollars in catered food A beautiful Greek salad, chicken piccata, 2 sausage calzones and ziti vodka sauce and a couple loaves of fresh bread and a full tiramisu. The 2 girls who had it all ready at 11 am were absolutely fantastic They were lovely ! They could not have been kinder ! The foot was for my son's confirmation. All I'll say is they nailed it ! The food was loved by all ! I've had food out of here more than 2 dozen times . The catering is well worth it and the prices are very good and fair for what you get and the taste. LaRosa's is the kinda place where you can choose your own adventure: order at the register and dine in, pick up/ take out, catering, etc. We couldn't decide so we split 2 sandwiches: drunken parm (chicken Parmesan with cheese and VODKA sauce on a brioche bun) and the angry Sicilian (Italian sandwich on thick toasted sandwich bread with fresh mozzarella). Although both were phenomenal, the drunken parm is way more rich and filling- so splitting THIS sandwich was the right move. Their service is decent for the most part! A waiter spilt water on me one time (total accident) and didn't offer to help move tables or anything lol (I kind of just took care of myself) so I wasn't feeling like I received the best service that day but mistakes happen and every other time I've been they were friendly. read more

The sandwich was good and well put together. The flowers of the meat, cheese, veggies and balsamic go so well together. I wish the peppers were hotter but the roasted red peppers were delicious. The bread had a good toast on it but was still soft so the roof of my mouth isn't completely destroyed. Definitely make sure you have plenty of napkins. We visited Andover for the first time since we lived there 25 years ago we arrived hungry and confused as to all of the changes (but the CVS and Dunkin still there!) We peeked in LaRosas on the way to the pub I found on Yelp and Nick was at the bar and welcomed us. He made it an incredible dining experience for us. He made great suggestions, provided insights on what's new and listened to our old stories. The food was incredible-huge chicken parm and burrata ravioli. Great wine selection and spotless restroom. Very cute spot. We came here for lunch and got some salads and sandwiches. For lunch, you order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. The vibes here are nice and the tables always have pretty roses on them. The food was very good! I'll be back to try the pasta. They also have takeout where you can order online and pick it up. What can I say about LaRosa' except the very best Italian food this side of the North End! I give their meatballs an A++++! They are closest I've ever tasted to my Nonni s. The texture, not overly seasoned with spices or garlic--just right. Try a meatball Parmesan sandwich on a tale bulky roll . Also recommend their eggplant. Either as a main course , or again in an eggplant parm sandwich. If you still have room, make sure you save room for scrumptious desserts. Can't say enough about the friendly and helpful staff.. My daughter had a work party catered by LaRosa's and I was lucky enough to have her bring home the leftovers! Even reheated the next day, everything was Fabulous!! We started with the arugula salad, then onto a charcuterie board--both awesome. Then, we reheated the broccolini, asparagus, chicken parm, roasted vegetables, meatballs & vodka penne for 20 minutes at 400 degrees. Everything was spectacular. Food was delicious and staff was super polite. I went here for my valentine's day dinner and I had a great experience. My chicken piccata was tasty but it did not have a lot of sauce with it and wasn't very lemony. Similarly, the pasta I got on the side was supposed to have the same sauce on it but it was just buttered plain pasta with no flavor. I will say that the arancini's were absolutely delicious and the rigatoni bianco was amazing. Cannolis were yum too. Highly recommend! I went here twice before COVID and once again in August and the food and service was incredible every time. I really liked the small, quaint outdoor patio located in the back of the restaurant - really gives you that nice Italian vibe with the exposed brick and hanging lights. For apps - the burrata (with prosciutto and pesto) was extremely fresh and so was the caprese. Any dish with salmon has been perfect - the salmon B.L.T. and salad were both amazing. For dinner, I also recommend the lobster alla vodka (I'm a sucker for a vodka cream sauce). They didn't skimp on the lobster meat which I find happens a lot. My sister is gluten free so it was great that they had GF pasta & bread available for her to enjoy... and she thought her meal was great. The cocktails were also excellent! We went with one of the seasonal specials and then switched to wine, although the drinks did take a while to come out, it won't change my review. My boyfriend and I love coming here. The pastas are amazing and a good serving and I love the coziness and ambiance of the restaurant, always red roses on the tables haha. We enjoyed the burrata and loved the rigatoni Bianca. I got the carbonara special but it was way too salty for my liking and I couldn't finish it.
