Following an exhausting day, my friend and I were hungry and tired. Not from the area, we did a quick search on yelp to find Luna Rossa. We were not disappointed. The food came incredibly fast (did I mention we were hungry?) and the portions were HUGE. He got chicken parm and I got eggplant parm. Both were delicious and we couldn't even clean the plate, too full! Staff were great and was clearly a popular spot. Definitely will remember to come back when we return to the area. read more

Absolutely incredible... what a find. I stopped into the plaza for "food" and I got an amazing Italian gastro experience with an intimate well appointed open restaurant, chefs kitchen and they were going!, phenomenal service, to die for cuisine, homemade bread was the best EVAH outside of Italy, can't even explain... every detail, every ingredient, arugula salad with the perfect light dressing, my favorite music in the background, temp inside was delicious, dessert was delectable- well worth the visit! Great pizza Host was rather confused when we arrived didn't greet us and seemed as if we were there for take out. Was probably distracted by her Snapchat she was on while attempting to seat us??? When we asked for a booth she told us we would have to wait for it to be cleared and she wouldn't know how long that would take. We told her we were fine with waiting and she returned to her Snapchat and we suddenly sat there for 15 min and non existent. Wish we got sat earlier since the tables were cleared and waiting. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive! He also acted extremely Italian which was sort of funny to me I told him what school I go to and he immediately listed like 4 "extended family members" I might know. While I enjoyed this, the food was not very special. It's not that it was BAD (there were no hairs in the food, undercooked meat, etc...) but I just wasn't a fan of the overall taste. I did enjoy the decorations though! Final thoughts, I don't think I will be going back but this wasn't a regrettable experience. read more

Outstanding Italian restaurant in an unimposing location. Hidden in the corner, Luna Rossa does it nicely, opening into a split dinning room with a long bar and intimate seating area. A few booths, mostly open tables and open kitchen. The food is excellent. So far we have tried Pizza, lasagna, ravioli, linguine carbonara, meatballs and garlic bread. Had a lovely experience here recently! My husband and I came here for a private function/birthday party. Food was served "family-style" (which I love) instead of the buffet-style they usually have at these types of events. Everything was delicious but the standouts were the salad, meatballs and raviolis. The salad dressing was so good, I could have drank it by itself. And those meatballs were some of the biggest I have ever seen! Not only were they huge, but they were also fantastic! The raviolis were pillowy-soft and just melted in your mouth. Went there last night for a birthday party of seven. The food, as always, was fantastic, but the service was surprisingly disappointing. We noted the reservation was for a birthday, yet the hostess didn't acknowledge it or seem interested. At the end of the night, she simply dropped off the check without asking if we wanted another round of drinks. I actually had to go up to the bar myself to get a drink for both me and the birthday girl. For the amount of money we spent, I expected much better service. read more

Second time eating here. Got the chicken parm. Sauce had no flavor and tasted like a can of tomatoes. Pasta was dry and the cutlet parm was bland and dried out. Tried the garlic bread which were toast slices butterd and broiled. They didn't even bother to season both sides of the bread. Tasted like nothing. No hints of garlic or herbs. I would have been better off with boxed pasta and a jar of sauce. Not worth the money. read more

Got a large cheese here the other day. Asked for well done. Came out awesome! Good crisp and char without compromising flavor. Cooked really well. Not runny. We recently hosted a luncheon for 60 plus people at Luna Rossa after my mother's funeral. They served broccoli and chicken pasta, sausage and peppers, marinara, salad, bread & cookies for dessert. The atmosphere was perfect...we had a good sized private area with a dedicated bar and plenty of space to socialize. The server and bartender were polite and attentive. So many relatives and friends commented on how delicious the food was. David was easy to work with, and very responsive during the planning. And the price was incredibly affordable. We had chicken parm, garlic/oil angel hair, and margarita pizza. The pizza was perfect! Sauce was just right. The crust was crispy and chewy at the same time. Really enjoyed the food. Service was also really good. Our waiter was attentive but not overly so. The only issue I had was the cost. $11 for a small side of pasta is a bit much. Pizza was typical price ~20 bucks for a large. We did have the zabaglione (sp?) dessert. Very good, but $12 for a small bowl also a bit expensive. Not sure if we'll come back. We went here Saturday night. The restaurant is in a strip mall. Service was very good, the food was fair. The portions are samll and it seems a little overpriced for what you get. I ordered the Linguini Frutti De Mare. It only had 2 Shrimp, 4 Mussels, a few Calamari, and 3 scallops. It was $31.99. Much too expensive for the size of the meal. We enjoyed the Halibut special with its an amazing orange citrus kiss!
