I contacted Larry about painting my home in Oceanside, just before all the shelter-in-place orders hit here in California. He returns calls and texts promptly and was priced very competitively with other work I've had done in the past. We hired him to replace the colors we disagreed with from the previous owner. Way too much powder blue! Come on! Anyhow, we found that it was easiest for him to work with Dunn Edwards paints, and we had a shop nearby where we could get samples. We picked colors and got him the info, and went through the house and tagged all the walls with the colors we wanted. Then the lockdown hit. Since the home was unoccupied, he could probably still continue, as long as I could get him access to the house. We had a lock box at the property so physical access wasn't an issue, and he was very trustworthy in his work. We were able to handle payment remotely and after finally being able to go down and inspect his work, I was blown away. I really went over everything, and I found zero cause to have him come back for any touchups or fixes. His edging is laser crisp. He works cleanly around hardware, there are zero drips, he filled all the prior holes and dings, and everything he touched looks brand new. I had a paint guy in San Jose like that. I hated to be moving away from craftsmen I've come to know. Larry's my new guy in Oceanside. We'll have some other things for him to hit after we move in shortly, I'm sure. read more

I had several painters bid our exterior home painting job and I knew from the moment Larry left our house he was our guy. The amount of attention he gave to every minute detail, thoroughly explaining as he went along, far exceeded anyone else that came to look at the job. His level of communication from start to finish was something that is generally unheard of from any contractor, always keeping us abreast of what steps were next and what was going to happen by when. He even went as far as repairing and painting a retaining wall that we weren't going to paint because we were unsure what we were going to do there but he wanted to make sure my wife felt like the project wasn't left incomplete. And he painted the chimney despite not including that in the bid because we realized it would tie everything together. Larry is a true perfectionist and even pointed out blemishes that to the average person you could not see. But he saw and wouldn't leave until he was comfortable that everything was 100% to his liking. My 7 yr old daughter and I were riding bikes down by the beach the other day and she pointed out a car that looked similar to what Larry's helper, Sonny, drove. She asked if Larry and Sonny could come back paint some more because she missed them since they were so nice! That speaks volumes for the kind of people Larry and his crew are. I was so thrilled with the job Larry did on my old house in Oceanside, I asked if he'd travel some 60 miles to paint my new house in the middle of nowhere. It was a challenging job, painting a crumbling half-century-old exterior that had never been sealed to protect it from the elements. Larry figured out the right combination of paints and primers to get the job done, ultimately using multiple coats to get it just right. The end result was amazing! Eight months later, we hired him to paint our badly-weathered fence, exterior doors, pergola, and trellises.
