We ordered ahead of time because we were afraid they would sell out like our spot in SGI. But when my kiddo and I went to pick it up we got to see the whole process! They have the cutest little clipboards with pencils where you fill out an order form with the different options and then hand it over and they make it right up! You can watch the whole process which is so cool!! Online ordering was super organized and easy as well. We did 6 customizable donuts. The first was chocolate with chocolate chips and chocolate drizzle, the second key lime, the third (my absolute fav the cinnamon sugar!), the fourth a maple with bacon pieces (Bobs pick!) , the fifth chocolate with coconut with a maple drizzle, and the final was of course chocolate with rainbow sprinkles (my kiddos fav!). Especially the cappuccino, which they've perfected. The baked goods are outstanding. If you stop by in the morning, the display cases are packed full of fresh treats. When you walk in the front door, the case straight ahead is filled with Slavic desserts, while the one to the left features other European specialties. The left side of the building is dedicated to coffee and retail baked goods, while the right side serves as a sit-down restaurant. This is a genuine European style bakery, and there's also plenty of covered outdoor seating if you want to enjoy your order outside. Best of all, everything is made with natural and organic ingredients. You can feel good about indulging. Enjoy!

The Boston Crème, Chocolate Long John, and Cake Donut with Sprinkles were my "go to". Today was my first time returning to Gold Star in over 25 years. It was a perfect combination of nostalgia and delicious donuts. The Boston Crème had the perfect amount of custard spread evenly through the donut. The Cake donut was soft and fluffy, but also rich and dense.
