What I want is simply this : competent service, a fair price, and ethical interaction. Edgar's (and specifically Tim) over-delivered on my expectations. My truck was misbehaving, and my initial thought was that it was transmission related. It felt to me that at shift points the truck would lurch and recover, and repeat. After trying to do my own troubleshooting, I became more *certain* that my transmission was at fault. The repair to fix this, according to the web was about $2k. I took my truck to Edgar's, and Tim suggested I spend $90 to do a diagnostic on the transmission. I reluctantly agreed. After a day of testing, he called me to tell me that it was very likely NOT a transmission problem, and he suggested three shops to take my truck for additional testing. Ultimately, the problem was found with the EGR valve, which has absolutely NOTHING to do with the transmission. I am grateful for Tim and his shop. I will be using them in the future, and I recommend them unconditionally. P.S. As a side note, the shop looks exceptionally clean, which is always a good sign. And while I was there, an older lady came in to the shop to give Tim a plate of cookies to thank him for a referral he gave her on her car, also to another shop. I was laughing internally thinking "this must be staged.... new customer in shop, queue the granny actress with cookies". After working with this shop, I realize that her gratitude was genuine :-)

They said they would if I would pay 75.00 dollars for them to test drive it l told them I wanted the transmission replaced. After arguing with they said they would do it but I would have to pay the 75.00 dollars or pay for the transmission up front. The reason they said was that they couldn't return the transmission. And I ask them why they would have to return it. They gave me no answer. Then told me they wouldn't take my check. I am 67 years old and have never written a bad check. My credit score is 800. I don't appreciate being treated like a criminal.

Sunday afternoon and a friend noticed I had a screw in my right front tire. OMG! I commute for my…read morejob and had to leave my house at Dark Thirty the next morning. Could not believe my bad luck with the screw. I was panicked. What in the world was I going to do? Thankfully, my friend suggested that I take my car to Westside 66. I actually looked at him like he was crazy because it was a Sunday afternoon. He assured me they were still open. I have to confess that I did not entirely believe him. LOL. He said, "They can fix it in 10 minutes and it will cost you about $16." Yeah, right. So I headed Westside 66 and kept my fingers crossed. The cashier told me to pull around back and they would look at the tire. Honestly, within ten minutes... the tire was fixed and it cost $16. I could not believe my good luck on finding this place. The mechanic who worked on my tire was nice, professional and he knew exactly what to do to get me fixed. He did not waste time with small talk and he got me right on my way. The cashier was very nice and courteous. She, too, was professional and very helpful. I appreciate her guidance. I asked her if they had been busy and she said it was a slow day for them. It was hard to believe it was a slow work day because both bays were filled and other cars were lined up for service. I will definitely go back to this station for service. I had counted on being there for hours but it was quick, efficient, professional service. WOW. Still cannot believe my luck with this wonderful shop.
