Way too expensive! Friendly guy but said he couldn't give a rough estimate of cost to replace my blown garbage disposal (from broccoli and holding down other sink stopper to get broccoli to go down after draining slowly). I mentioned I could pick up disposal at Home Depot for $120 at (Insinkerator, 5 HP, which he said he'd get and is all he uses). After replacing disposal, took him no more than 1/2 hr (probably 20 mins) to snake the sink drain to unstop those 2 sink drains. $670! My mistake- should have bought disposal myself, gone with another plumber if unable to give me an estimate range over the phone, then not have them do anything once arrived until gave me an estimate in writing. Almost $700? He must have really needed the money to charge that much with no guilt. Expensive lesson for me. read more

Larry's Plumbing LLC. are our plumbers . When we moved to Williamsburg 10 years ago we went through not just plummers but other contractors. Some made things worse instead of better. Then we met our heating and air condition company, A.Rodgers . From there we were lucky enough to find (with help) Larry's Plumbing. Today we had a leak from our hot water heater.Tim was the first man on the job. He worked nonstop until he located the leak in the wall. I observed him the whole time . He was committed to finding and stopping the leak without having to move our hot water heater out of the way ($285). Two other plumbers came on board to help; It was amazing! The job was completed without moving the hot water heater. Tim is a hard worker, knowledgeable and intense (in a good way). I highly recommend Tim and Larry's plumbing. read more

Very disappointed! This man made a mess of my mother's plumbing in her front yard in September and has yet to make it right (today is January 1). And, he has the nerve to brag about it on his Facebook business profile. A plumbing snake got coiled in the pipes and had to be removed by cutting a huge hole in the pipe and dragging the snake out with a truck wench. There remains a large hole in her sewage pipe that was temporarily covered up with cement which later was dug up and replaced with wood boards. She was informed by the NN inspector that the temporary covering is illegal and dangerous. Our family has asked Larry many times to complete the repair on damage made by his team and we have not received a response. We support local business when we can but now it seems this is our only option to resolve the problem. I will update my review should Larry take responsibility for the full repair. read more

If I could give Larry's Plumbing more stars I would. I would highly recommend this company. My crawl space was flooded due to a burst pipe on one of the coldest night's in Yorktown. It was Friday and it took me 4 tries to find a company willing to come out at such short notice. Luckily I had turned off the water at the mains. Robert came out within an hour, and was absolutely amazing. He tried to crawl under the house, but there was a foot of water sloshing around! But straight away he called a Remediation Company who arrived within another hour. Robert stayed while this company dealt with my Insurance Company. It was late evening before he left, making sure I understood everything. From then on I knew I was in good hands. He could not fix the pipe until the water had been drained, and dried out. After 4 days without water, Robert was back on the job and fixed the pipe, plus wrapping the pipe so there would be no more freezing. I would highly recommend Larry's Plumbing, mainly for their compassion to myself being an elderly, widowed lady. I will definitely use this company again for any future problems or work. read more

Sink, faucet, disposal and dishwasher connection. Just the connections. Sink was already in place. They did not have PVC drain fittings with them which I happened to have some. Two people spent two hours (including trip to get correct materials) and charged $1,100. They asked for my feedback via email, which I gave as, "Overpriced, didn't come prepared, and the dishwasher hose still leaks." [Turns out it's the disposal connection.] Their response: Larrys Plumbing 08/28/2023 Thank you for your feedback. We provided you with an estimate for the scope of work, which you accepted. Our technician completed the scope of work with the materials you provided, as you requested. If you would like us to return to address any issues, please call the office and we will be happy to assist you. They should be calling me to figure out how to resolve the problem. Not me calling them. And, an "estimate" not an absolute. I incorrectly figured they would see how little work there was and cut the cost. read more

Larry's Plumbing is a veterans-owned family business. Chandler & Tim arrived during the scheduled time. They were friendly and knowledgeable, and we were very pleased with their work. We had a bathroom sink faucet moved to another sink and a new faucet installed in its place. They cleaned all of the sink traps and replaced a shower handle tube which made the handle easy for me to turn. We will use Larry's Plumbing for any future work. read more

BEWARE of Larry's Plumbing BEWARE! I contacted the BBB for the first time in my life because of this company. They didn't show up on work order day. They had an excuse so I gave them a chance. We had a carbon filter installation scheduled. When tech showed up on the postponed date, he didn't know what the job was nor did he arrive with a carbon filter. He left and purchased one at a boxstore. He installed it. I paid him. I began to receive harassing emails demanding payment. I contacted office and explained I gave a check to the tech. Meanwhile, I was requesting the Owner's Manual for maintaining carbon filter changes for healthy water. The "accounting department " couldn't locate my payment despite me furnishing them with the day my check was processed, their bank account information, etc. They wanted me to go to my bank get a copy and deliver to them. I declined to do their job for them, but still requested the necessary paperwork I paid for to keep our water healthy. Eventually they emailed a copy of the installation instructions Even after realizing their accounting mistakes they refused to furnish me with the needed manual. So, I contacted the BBB and then Larry's Plumbing lied to the BBB about leaving the Owner's Manual...Do Not use this company. Beware! read more

2 Weeks, and still no hot water. On 6 April (Wed) I called for my rental property not having hot water. They scheduled a visit the following day. I'll spare the details of the story, but in short, they came and ran the water for a few minutes and said it was hot, and never checked the water heater. The worker reported to Larry's that the water heater was in the hallway, blocked by a washing machine, when it's actually in the bedroom closet. I waited to hear from them after the appointment time, but did not. After talking to my tenants, I called Larry's for an update and to see why they never called me. I talked to Gina, the co-owner, and she said they tried to call me, but it just rang. (I never saw a missed call, nor received a call.) She did not try again.On Monday, 11 Apr I called to rebook an appt for them to actually check the water heater. Terrible communication again. I called at 8am and was told they would check their workers schedule and call me back with a date/time, and would email me an invoice from the first visit. By 11:15am I hadn't heard back.. Once again I called Gina and asked about the invoice , and asked about the time for the appt that day. She said she still hadn't made contact with the workers for their schedule, but went ahead and booked me from 3-5pm, but noted it could be sooner or later. No problem. She finally emails over the invoice, and it has a $75 diagnostic fee. The appointment time that day came and went, and they NEVER SHOWED UP, and I never got a cancellation or courtesy call. The following morning I was highly dissatisfied and called Gina and respectfully voiced my concerns and dissatisfaction. My experience thus far was horrible ,and I had planned to take my business elsewhere. Gina said she didn't know why the workers never showed up, but apologized and said she would find out why. I felt like she wanted to make things better with my bad experience, and she offered to waive the $75 diagnostic fee from the first visit (where they didn't even check the water heater). I truly appreciated this and decided to give them a second chance with a clean slate. She rebooked for a THIRD time, that evening (Tuesday, 12 Apr). This time the company owner (Larry) came out, and I thought, Great, finally they are fixing my bad experience! Larry was professional, and diagnosed the issue as a leaking water heater/shorted lower heating element. He called me with info, told me that due to the condition of the water heater, it was a fire hazard so he had to shut off the breaker. I told him that was fine, and I appreciated it. He told me that the water heater was under 5 years old, and would still be under warranty. He said he'd call his go-to company for a replacement and would also contact Home Depot for a replacement if his company didn't have it in stock, but would let me know as soon as he verified. He also said he'd send me a price quote in case I needed to pay out of pocket for anything. 2 days later, I hadn't heard anything back. Once again I had to call for an update, and was told that there was an issue with the warranty, instead of it being for 5 years it was only for a year but they had been trying to reach my mobile home manufacturer to see if the warranty was longer (which I appreciated, just wish they would have kept me in the loop). Gina said she would keep trying to contact them, and I reminded her about getting me a price quote on a new water heater in case. I called for updates on Friday, 15 April, and Gina told me that the mobile home manufacturer was apparently closed that day for a holiday, so they would try to contact the manufacturer again on Monday. Again, I understood and accepted) By Monday at 11am, I hadn't heard from Larry's about the warranty, so I called and left a message asking for an update. I never got a call back, and STILL no price estimates from Larry, and no information about whether my replacement water heater was in stock with his go-to company or Home depot. Once again, highly dissatisfied, and going on 2 weeks without hot water, I took it upon myself to call the water heater company to verify my warranty status, and I called the mobile home manufacturer (both confirmed it was only for a year, so it was expired). Not sure why Larry's plumbing couldn't reach the manufacturer, as I did with no problem. Tuesday 19 April I FINALLY get an invoice in my email that says "Warranty was expired/had 1 year warranty" and "Estimate for replacement is to be determined" "Need to measure area, newer unit may not fit". Are you kidding me? The estimate should have been worked the week prior as promised! Literally no progress was made over the course of a week, and STILL they never called to tell me this, only took to emailing me an invoice with no new info in it. I went an bought a new water heater from Lowes and had it installed the next day. I'm an 18yr veteran myself and DO NOT recommend Larry's plumbing! On Sunday it got really bad I called that called me back and has a tech out very quickly. Wore a mask. Was quick and courteous. Explained his work and made sure I was satisfied. Beware. No words. First visit - needed a part for the shower and would return the next day. Received text message with time between 4 - 8. No show. My daughter visiting from the west coast had to go to the gym to take a shower. Next day I called and was told it was a communication issue between owner and office. But yet no one had called. Couldn't find the part. Came the next day with the part to fix the shower. Hubby took a shower afterwards . I go in and shower not coming on. Thinking well maybe the handle is going the wrong way I put a little pressure on it to turn to see if it would come on. Welll, the entire thing just spins around. Back to nothing again and out of $300. I am too tired and frustrated to be angry. Never again. I will call someone else to fix this mess. I hope the money that I threw away and the wasted time will bring something good on the backend. People providing services just don't think about the affect their negligence has on a customer. I had a water heater go bad and had talked to another plumber about replacing it. He told me he could fit it in at the beginning of the next week (I called on a Thursday). We went without hot water through the weekend and i tried contacting him several times with no reply. I looked online for a recommended plumber and Larry's Plumbing came up.
