As a first time mom and mother taking their child to school for the first time it can be insanely…read morescary and anxiety provoking. Pride and joy came recommended by my neighbor whose kids went there until they aged out and had nothing but amazing things to say. Soon I came to find several people from my neighborhood went there. So we decided to tour it and meet the team. I felt comfortable immediately after meeting Miss Carrie and my daughters to be teacher miss Mickey. They are two of the warmest, most welcoming and loving people. The ideal people to work in this industry. My daughter was a little over one when she started in early 2023. She absolutely LOVED going to school. Would run inside and not look back at me once. What I loved most is how small the school is. All the teachers even for the other grades know all the children and they frequently help out each others classes. The class sizes are also super small which allows for a lot of direct attention which was something my high maintenance child needed. They quickly learn all the children by name and know exactly who everyone's parents are. It's a very close knit program and I loved that. I also loved that they cleaned their own facility and didn't hire outside companies so they are able to oversee that everything is held to a certain standard. This past year my daughter was only sick twice and as a 1-2 year old class I'd say that's REALLY good and I credit it to how well they upkeep their rooms. Communication with team and her teachers is very open and I am always able to get ahold of someone if I ever have a question or concern. It's tremendous to see how much my daughter learned being there. Often times she would randomly say or do something at home we had no idea she could do and we just assumed she learned at school, like the first time she pointed at a picture of an apple and said Apple. They have a great educational curriculum and they don't just sit your child in front of a TV. All in all I would absolutely recommend pride and joy. We loved everything about it there and are so sad to have to leave (we're moving out of state due to my husbands job). In fact it's one of the hardest parts about leaving because as a mom of now 2, finding a school you are whole heartedly comfortable with is a rare find. I can only hope we find somewhere even half as great as pride and joy. I will forever compare every school experience back to the expectations I learned here. Thank you Miss Mickey, Miss Edilima, the new assistants and Miss Carrie (as well as the teachers in the other classes) who have always treated my girl like your own. I truly believe she is such a happy, social, smart little girl because of your amazing team! We will miss you all!!

The place is clean, back yard is amazing and they make sure every day is filled with fun activities My son moved to public school after kindergarten and he was so advanced. They reached them to love reading, to praise God and respect family. They prepare them to be good citizens of the world. Some of the teachers are 10+years with the school it's great to know that same teachers here raised both of my kids. The prices are very reasonable compared to other daycares but the quality of their services is very high.

A child who once loved school began asking heartbreaking questions like, "Am I a bad kid?" and saying, "My school hates me." No 7-year-old should leave a school feeling isolated, ashamed, or unwanted. What shocked us most was the lack of compassion and understanding for a young child still learning emotional regulation -- especially while also dealing with bullying issues that were repeatedly minimized. Rather than helping him grow through challenges, the environment made him feel labeled and defeated. Schools should nurture children emotionally, not damage their self-esteem and sense of safety. My son's confidence has plummeted. I'm not sure he will ever recover from this experience. I truly hope no other child leaves feeling the way my son did.

Your son/daughter must be able to learn 1 way - if they need assistance or additional guidance it will not happen. No supervision on the play ground or aftercare. This is a very bad place for kids! Be careful!

They were just treated as objects and not kids. Ever since my kids were transitioned out of their old school to The Kids Learning Academy, my kids have accelerated greatly. The staff is very nice and attentive towards all of the kids. I have one in VPK and another in Daycare. I am very happy with my kids performance at school and at home. I feel they are learning so much more. My kids have opened their minds up and are blossoming. I would have to say that Ms. Beth runs a very tight ship. She is always looking out for the better interest for the kids to learn and be well taken care of. I highly recommend this school for parents looking for a school in the Fort Lauderdale area. Thank you for all of your great work.

We had the most horrible experience at this daycare center. My daughter was in Ms. Mercedes…read moreclassroom and due to some incidents too long to describe, I noticed that something was off. I asked to see the cameras and we saw Mercedes being violent and rough with my daughter. She hit her head because she could not control her temper (the caregiver, not the child!). My daughter was 2 years old at the time. The director, which tends to be rude but chose to be more diplomatic considering the obvious, agreed that the caregiver lost her temper and that it was wrong. However, refused to move the teacher from my daughter´s classroom. She said we would have to move my daughter to a different level instead. Needless to say, my daughter did not come back to that school. We even filed a police report that indicated that the caregiver must practice better patience with children. You would expect that from a teacher of 2 year old children! The caregiver was a few weeks without pay but then went back to work. Regardless if she is still there or not, I would advise all parents to stay away from this center. They allowed this behavior to happen. This person should have been fired. Please do your research and put your kids in a facility where the caregivers genuinely care about your children. My daughter had an emotional impact from her experience in this place. To top it off, they tried to put it on my daughter saying that she used to cry all the time. What a lame justification of wrong adult actions. Stay away from this place! I have to give star but I would give them -0
