La Catracha is a neighborhood Mexican restaurant located at the corner of Wilson St and Manchester…read moreSt. The place has that homey feel with several tables for eating in, festive decor on the walls, flatscreen TV, digital jukebox, and pool table. They offer an extensive selection of authentic Mexican dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Cold bottled drinks offered here include Pepsi products, Jarritos, water, and beer. I stopped in here recently for dinner. There was fast paced Mexican music blasting very loud over the speakers, so I was definitely getting my food to go. I ordered the Chicken Fajitas ($11 plus tax) served with 2 sides (I chose yellow rice and beans). The food was cooked fresh to order and ready in about 25 minutes as promised, packed in two styrofoam boxes. The chicken fajitas consisted of marinated tender boneless chicken pieces, green peppers, red peppers, onions, and tomatoes, served with 4 warm soft corn tortillas and lettuce, tomato, & sour cream. The yellow rice was cooked firm and had a good chicken flavor. The refried black beans were very soft and smooth. The chicken fajitas I had were very good and not too greasy either. I would order the fajitas again!

They offer full service dining, takeout, and DoorDash delivery. The bright dining has long bar with seating to the left and plenty of table seating, yellow & brown painted walls, and a colorful mural. I stopped in for dinner at Iguana's very recently. The place was not too busy and I could sit anywhere I wanted. The owner greeted me and brought out complementary crunchy tortilla chips & red tomato salsa. He also brought out homemade green salsa, which was very good. I ordered water, a Poland Spring bottle ($2) and the Chicken Fajitas ($13.50 plus tax) served with rice and black beans. The chicken fajitas were served very hot on a skillet with fresh red & green peppers, onions, yellow zucchini and tender strips of chicken breast, a bit oily on the skillet. The side plate had soft Mexican rice, cup of black beans, and a green salad with pico de gallo. There was no guacamole or sour cream on the plate. I did have to request warm soft tortillas (I got 2) after being served. The portion of food was very generous and I was very full, so no dessert. Overall, I had a good dinner at Iguana's. The food was fresh, tasty, and very filling. What I liked about this place is that it was laid back and not mobbed or very busy like the other sitdown Manchester Mexican restaurants including Puerto Vallarta, Nuevo Vallarta, La Carreta, and Mi Jalisco. I actually had a good quiet dinner with the owner checking up on me to see how things were.
