Located next to a muffler shop

This cozy place is in the former Mi Gabinita space, where it was gutted and opened up. The interior has six 4-tops and a counter that seats five. The owners did a great job with the interior. There are caddys with green (mild) and red (hot) sauces. I got the asada tacos and asada burrito. The grilled corn tortillas are a bit small, and are piled with ingredients, making a potentially sloppy meal. The asada had a slight seasoning, and was tender. The burrito was stuffed with meat, refried beans, and Mexican rice. Flavor-wise, I believe the menu was tailored for local gringo tastes, so be advised the sauces are not there for looks. Everything was good, but needed more heat. The service was good and friendly, with mom going about the dining room bussing and cleaning tables, and talking to the customers. As this place is small, it fills up quickly and can have the perception of being hectic. Plusses for being open late.

    Kids Pollo Quesadilla. Awesome flavor!

Impressed with the food and authentic flavors. Got delivery, but it did not disappoint. Really good refried beans. I tried the Asada taco, carnitas, and Barbacoa. All were delicious. Go with the authentic style, not the American option. Kids chicken quesadilla was a highlight of the meal. Chicken was super flavorful. Overall, it was really really good compared to some of our other local Mexican restaurants. I will order again!

This was a great little hole in the wall. We had the tacos combination plates. The pork (carnitas), steak (asada) and tongue (lengua) and the lengua Huarache The meats were cooked to perfection. Tender and seasoned well. The corn tortillas were freshly made and didn't fall apart while eating them. The rice and beans were flavorful - nothing unique just rice and beans. Not too wet, not too dry. Not under seasoned or too spicy - just right. They offered soda in bottles and cans with no fountain drinks. In general the restaurant is small as there are six tables for four and a bar like table for four more. It's a place when packed is crammed but the food is good and fairly priced for the generous portions. The location is in an interestingly odd location, as it is located next to a muffler shop........ That aside, we were happy with our adventure to try this little place away from the Purdue Campus.

2 al pastor and 1 asada

I wanted to check out this place because of the good reviews. Looks like it's the spot to check out on Tuesdays for $1 al pastor tacos! I was impressed with how clean and modern the restaurant was. Space is a bit tight, but I really like that they have an open kitchen and you're able to see them cook your food. You place an order at the front, then they'll bring your food out to you. I went with 2 al pastor tacos since they are known for them, and 1 steak taco. My boyfriend ordered the steak burrito, which came with chips. Usually when we dine in at a mexican restaurant chips and salsa are provided, but not here. We paid extra to have something to munch on before our food came out. I was disappointed that our chips were stale and broken into smaller pieces. The salsa had a good kick to it that I enjoyed! Luckily, my boyfriend's burrito came with chips that were better! The menu indicated that the al pastor tacos came with a slice of grilled pineapple, so I was disappointed to see that my tacos came with literally the smallest slivers of pineapple LOL it was honestly very sad. The tacos and burrito were just okay in my opinion. I've had better in town! The tortillas were a little dry. Verdict: Eh, I'll come back if I'm ever in the area, but there are so many other mexican restaurants I want to try in town first!

The place is right in the corner of the intersection and it was pretty visible. Parking was easy and had quite an amount of availability. The place was used to be a restaurant called mi cabanita which served great tacos for Lafayette standard. I ordered al pastor, lengua, tripa and steak tacos. I really like them and I would say they are one of the best I have ever tasted in Lafayete, Indiana. I would come back if I crave a taco and defintely on a tuesday since they have a $1 al pastor tac

Love the Pastor tacos here. Done on a spit (like gyros), friendly family run place, plus the Pastor Tacos are only $1 on tuesdays. You have to pay for chips and salsa (which makes sense when tacos are so cheap). Guacamole is awesome and they have marinated onions and peppers on the tables. Also the house made red and green sauces are very good.

The tacos are so good, as a Mexican I approve. Also the prices aren't bad. I believe they have $2 tacos on Tuesdays.

But then mine eyes doth glanceth upon the words "Brisket Birria Sandwich" on the menu, and I had to pivot. I'm so glad that I went with my heart. The Brisket Birria Sandwich at Ripple & Company consists of smoked brisket, white cheddar, red onions and cilantro, all melted and pressed between a roll, and served with birria consomme. You dip the sandwich in the consomme and eat, kind of like a French dip. Dip and eat, dip and eat, until you can't dip and eat anymore, either because it's all gone or because your stomach is about to burst. It's a big sandwich, and it is also served with incredibly delicious fries, which doesn't help with the stomach bursting thing. This whole meal is amazing and I would visit Ripple & Company just to eat this exact thing again. I visited with people who ate at Ripple & Company quite frequently, and they got their favorites: The Black & Gold Pub Burger, and the Cajun Shrimp Tacos, with a side of roasted Brussels sprouts. Everyone enjoyed everything. As a nice surprise, one of my dining mates ordered the Smokehouse Nachos for us to share, as if we didn't have enough food. But there's a different chamber in my stomach for chips and nachos, and luckily, that chamber was empty, so it worked out just fine. The nachos are great, with tender pieces of shredded pork, pickled jalapenos, a vegetable mix, green onions and chipotle ranch drizzled on top. The service here is great: We were seated right away, ordered right way, and our food came out within a good amount of time. The decor is car and transportation themed, with traffic signs and hubcaps hung up on the walls. Very fun.

I enjoyed the vibes and artwork here, though the music was quiet and basically just background noise. What really did it for us was our server/bartender. I ordered two tacos & two skinny margaritas. The marg's should have been $4 or $5 dollars according to the waiter KAYLEN which I asked him about prior to ordering. Upon receiving the check, it came out to $18 for both margaritas. When we asked him about it he replied, "It's not my job to correct y'all." When my friend asked him his name he lied and said it was John. After we left we called to express how disappointed we were with his service and the manager said we don't have a "John" at this location. I'll never come back to this location or this franchise based on this experience. I can get over a cold taco when the service is good, but Kaylen ruined it for everyone. It was a weak margarita and weak service on his part when I explicitly asked him if the daily deals were still happening and he replied "yes" just to charge us full price. Never again.
