When you enter the establishment very hard to discern rather to be seated, go to counter or wait at door. I think you are to seat yourself. We were waited on very quickly. Beverage offered for coke was generic or you ordered bottled coke. We chose ice water. After sitting a bit salsa was brought out with chips. Chips were not warm. Salsa was ok tasted as though it may have been homemade but way to much cilantro in it. The food was not bad EXCEPT they added cilantro after being ask not to. I do have to honestly say this is absolutely the Worst Red Sauce I have ever ate in any Resturant. If it was not put on my food the food may have been palatable. The atmosphere was friendly and charming. It looked like they did a better takeout than dine in only one person in Resturant. Will definitely not return will keep to my tried and true other Mexican resturants.

The portion is incredible, the queso is thick and creamy not like most places that water it down..the waitress was very friendly & the restaurant is imaculant!! Highly recommend!!

As far as Mexican food goes, I'm not too picky: it just has to be flavorful and hot. Our experience here was so-so, but I wouldn't deter others from trying. First and foremost, the salsa has to be on-point for me to fall in love. This salsa was way too sweet for my liking, unfortunately. I prefer salsa heavy on the cilantro with heavy notes of garlic and salt. This just didn't hit the mark for me. My meal was pretty darn tasty: I ordered chicken, cheese, and beef enchiladas with green sauce. The Verde was spicy and flavorful, almost a little too far on the hot side but I'm definitely not complaining. My boyfriend's dish had steak with mole sauce, which he thought was seasoned well. I tried a bite and it was a little tough, but nicely seasoned. The atmosphere was very unimpressive, but let's be honest: you don't really come for a fancy view. The location was a bit hard to find...signage isn't very apparent. However, I would go back again if I was in the area; maybe I might change my mind and give 'em an extra star next time.

Well they state authentic Mexican food. They offer both American style ant traditional. With sour cream and cheese or with cilantro and onions. I had the fajitas steak. Oh so good. Best I have had outside of California. The salsa was different slightly sweet with green tomatoes? Good but different They also share space with New York Cafe

It is definitely authentic Mexican, though they do offer "American" tacos.

I LOVED the restaurant that occupied that space years ago, Adelino's, but it was a totally different type of cuisine, so I didn't go into it comparing the two. The ambiance was great. I loved the way they'd revamped and utilized the space. Our server was attentive initially, but after we'd put in an order for an appetizer and told her we needed a minute to look things over, it took forever for her to come back to take our orders. We didn't see her much after that either. The food wasn't worth the price in my opinion. The queso dip was good, but I feel like you should get more than you do for $10. My boyfriend loved the cheesy birria tacos, but I was less happy with mine. The meat in my tacos was barely lukewarm when they got to the table, which was weird to me; even when I get shrimp tacos elsewhere (when the shrimp isn't fried), the shrimp is at least warm. The fish taco was better than the shrimp taco, but you can get far superior tacos for cheaper at other restaurants around town. We both ordered a Paloma and found them to be very tequila forward and not as effervescent as they should have been; we were expecting carbonation but couldn't taste any bubbles (and barely any grapefruit) at all. I enjoyed it more than he did though. Overall, we're pretty sure Nom Nom is a one and done for us, which is a shame, because we'd heard great things and went into it with high expectations. But for almost $80, the food and service we received just weren't up to par.

We were traveling from…read moreAppleton, Wi to North Carolina and wanted to find a nice place for a fun meal before stopping for the evening. Normally I list the positives and negatives, but I really didn't have anything negative to say. Ambiance - one word... FUN!!! It's well decorated and just a lively atmosphere. Bright lights but also decor of a Mexican temple. They had fun, vibrant almost Latin Club music playing so it was upbeat and lively. Service - the service was great. I had seen some reviews complaining but we had nothing to complain about. On a Saturday night at 7:30 we were seated immediately. The waiter took drink orders, came back to get food orders, and checked on us throughout our visit. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Food - probably some of the best Mexican food I've had!! The chips. - nice and thick and crisp. Could have used more salt but I know many places allow people to salt to their own taste. Homemade Hot Sauce - great flavor and a good amount of heat. I really enjoyed it. Ribeye Tacos - delicious. The onions and jalapeños were cooked perfectly. Even the rice was some of the best I had. Highly recommend putting some of the house hot sauce on it. Pastor street tacos - another delicious dish. The combination of the pastor and pineapples with cilantro and onion was perfect. Fajita Salad - had a bite of my daughter's food and it too was good. A good combination of vegetables and meat that I would consider for next time. Overall I would love to stop back here another time if I'm passing through Lafayette. If you haven't tried them, I highly recommend you do!!

The vibe is pure dive-bar magic: pool tables, live music, no pretension. Nobody cares if you're a Hoosier, a Boiler, or just a random traveler who took the wrong exit off I-65.
