Wish I had pictures of what I ordered from here, but let's just say I went back to back for two days straight and was thankful I was in the area. I am picky when it comes to my coffee. The owner made me a latte with a double shot, sweetened with maple syrup and that was one of the best lattes I have had in a long time (wish the cup was slightly larger) haha. I went in that day hoping to get the kimbap, but they only have that on Saturdays. What did I do? Head back on Saturday morning for two orders of kimbap. And guess what? It was my first time even having it, but I knew from photos I needed to have it and would really enjoy it. The first day I went, I had the croissant bulgogi sandwich that has bulgogi, eggs, arugula, chili spread and then it's pressed! It is very good! Paired with my perfect latte and I was for sure going back the next day! The next day, my latte (still the same order) was not the best, but I am aware that it is really in the hands of the barista haha! I got the bulgogi kimbap and the tuna kimbap and it was really good! The sauce that is paired with them was great. I liked the bulgogi kimbap much better, but I am glad I was able to try two different kinds as my first experience. I was feeling a bit under the weather and needed a good coffee to soothe me and give me some energy. My Latte w Lavender Syrup was so delicious and well made. The espresso was pulled well, it was creamy, and balanced overall. Luckily, we came on a Saturday and were able to try their Saturday special - Kimbap! We got the Bulgogi Kimbap which was made fresh with an assortment of traditional ingredients from vegetables to egg to carrots to pickled radish and more. It was served with their house-made soy sauce which was lighter and more fragrant, almost like a vinaigrette. It was savory, tangy, and grew on me with each bite. Super cute cafe in the Weehawken area close to Blvd East. We've been here before but usually for coffee only so this time we ordered something to eat. The folks were behind the counter and making kimbap were friendly and had good energy. We were pleasantly surprised to see they had kimbaps and got two of those as well as coffee and matcha latte. Everything was really good all around. Drinks were well made and the rolls were big and had lots of filling. a favorite local gem, coffee is reasonably priced and high quality. i love their cappuccino but when my mom was visiting for a week she got an americano every morning from here and swore it was some of the best coffee she's ever had. you can tell the espresso is pulled perfectly and with high quality beans. they have plenty of solid food options as well if you're looking for a bite. the inside decor has a nice eclectic and homey feeling. service is always lighting fast as well. overall if you're in the area it's a great go to coffee shop and has plenty of good work space as well. there's also some cool little goodies you can buy there, whether it's local art, coffee related items or random handmade goods. read more

I felt like an unwelcome visitor in someone's unkept home. While an array of Knick knacks and mismatching furniture can look eclectic and remind you of your grandparents house, this place just looked like a mess. Furniture was uncomfortable to sit on, the random coffee table on the side, along with the office space, just took up unnecessary space. Our coffee was served in Anthropologie Christmas mugs, an americano and a latte. The americano was fine, the latte was absolutely not. It was half foam. Our sandwiches were dry, and definitely not worth the $8. The barista didn't bother to clean a table, though there is an area for patrons to put their dirty dishes, they didn't see it as it is a little inconspicuous. I recently visit ispresso. It was not a pleasant visit at all. The bald guy at the cash register was so rude. There was a drip coffee called "Brooklyn" and my brother accidentally said "Bronx". The cashier basically humiliated my brother for the small mix up. That's the not last of it. When I was going to go pick up my coffee, he proceeds to say "damn, that shawty has a nice f*** ass", referring to the customer that he just took care off. Needless to say, I'll never go back especially when there's so many other coffee shops around. read more

Very cute local coffee place. We ordered a hot vanilla oat latte and a chai latte. To be honest, their drinks were lack luster and the coffee itself wasn't the best tasting. There is a good amount indoor seating but the cafe is filled with a lot of random and eclectic items. One positive is they have a nice book sections for young kids to read and beautiful artwork on display. They only have street parking and due to being located on a Main Street and in a residential area, parking can be a very big challenge. read more

This coffee shop is so unassuming and can easily be missed, but definitely a gem once you discover it. The coffee is fantastic and reminiscent of Brooklyn hipster cafes. I was looking for a matcha latte and got one here ! They only have one size to choose from. The matcha was good ! I got a matcha with almond milk and it taste comparable to the Starbucks matcha with soy milk. Decided on the Latte ($4) to go along with a Blueberry Muffin ($3ish?). Coffee is your standard fare - good balance between the bitter coffee and the milk. Blueberry Muffin was on the stale side - cold to the touch and not much flavor overall. Worried about the COVID protocols here - one customer didn't have their mask on inside, which was negligible. However, he soon came behind the counter to get some items (still without mask), then went back to his seat inside (seems like he is an employee). I been following Ispresso for the longest on my instagram and finally had a chance to go check them out. Thankfully it wasn't packed so I was able to choose where I wanted to sit. It is furnished in a very unique way that makes it its own so I really appreciated the vibes. The lady at the counter was nice but I forgot to get her name. I ended up getting the caramel late which was delicious! They designed a little leaf on it which came out really nice lol I went to KUPPI in Edgewater and they butchered the foam designs lol My only is it was hot. Lol I know it wasn't that warm out but drinking coffee makes you hot and start sweating especially if there isn't any AC and that made me want to leave a little faster just so I can get some air and cool down. The cafe is open for takeout and I really appreciate this. Minimum $5 for credit card/Apple Pay. I went to this cafe for the first time in a year. I remember this cafe had a good latte and a nice atmosphere. However, I was disappointed about the quality of espresso in my latte; it tasted as if beans used for it were old. I also got a chocolate chip cookie which was just okay. Hmmm, I am delighted the cafe remains open and I want to support, but I just wished the quality was higher. read more

We ordered chai latte ( one of the best I have had so far) - 4$ only, cafe latte ( decent) - 3.5$ and the coffee cake ( good and spongy - 3.5$ ) The reason I am giving it a star less is because the barista was rude. Their coffee was okay but the customer service was well below average. I tried the vanilla latte, dirty chai latte and a bagel with cream cheese. The lady behind the counter was not friendly nor patient, did not ask me if I wanted the bagel toasted, did not give me a cupholder nor did she give sleeves for hot coffee cups. I had asked for an iced latte and iced chai, instead she made them hot. When I asked her politely, she just stared at me and said she could put ice in them but the milk was steamed?? So she basically implied to me "too bad, deal with it". Not knowing what else to do, I had to just accept the drinks the way she made them. I don't see why anyone would overpay for average coffee and rude customer service, I'd say pick another place for your cafe needs. read more

So a couple things to note... 1. I like coffee. 2. I like to support local business. 3. I'm an unemployed mom and have been for two years due to a career in the arts where being pregnant means you are unhireable. Then, my entire industry was wiped out by the pandemic as well as my spouse's. My June 2021 story: On a 90 degree morning while taking my 19 month old to the park I decided to stop into ISPRESSO where I had been just a couple days earlier for an iced coffee and an ice water. I hadn't had a chance to grab a drink for him before leaving the house while fighting to calm him into putting on his clothes, then his shoes, then get in the stroller, etc. Because I hadn't supported ISPRESSO nor been buying coffee out for two years, I decided I was happy to support this local cafe. While I don't have a lot of money to spend, I have budgeted to make a coffee happen every now and again. I walk in with my kid and look to an empty counter for an employee who I realize is sitting at a table on his computer listening to music. I say hello to him and order an iced coffee and an ice water. Employee says nothing. Employee pulls out a bottled water. I say, "Oh, thanks, but I just want an ice water for my son." Employee says "You are really going to give your child tap water??" [PAUSE for stare down at me before he rolls his eyes and says with much shade...] "You should really do your research [shade clearly still being cast]." Now there are a LOT OF THINGS wrong with this situation. 1. You either make ALL YOUR COFFEE AND ICE WITH UNFILTERED TAP WATER and are trying to shame me into spending more money OR... 2. You don't want to use the filtered water for a cup of ice water for my toddler in spite of the fact that I am being charged $5 (outrageous!) for 10oz of coffee poured over ice. 3. You are shaming clientele for not having your knowledge and life experience and MONEY. 4. You are leading with assumptions made about your clientele by the way they look. 5. You haven't done YOUR RESEARCH as to what it is to be an exhausted mom who has bad-assed her way through a 4 hour morning by 9:30AM while you sit and listen to music at your cafe job. I am all for educating and enlightening people, but when it is done through casting judgement it's inappropriate, especially from a business serving customers. To the employee who I encountered, you made quite a few bad judgements. Get it together for the next customer. You absolutely won't have the opportunity to serve me or my family going forward. read more

Cute little cafe that West New York needs! I went here early on a Sunday 30 minutes after they opened and opted for an iced matcha latte while my boyfriend had an earl gray latte hot. We were probably the second customers there! The matcha was straightforward and great-- 50 cent surcharge each on almond milk. The earl gray latte that time was magical and was the perfect blend of earl gray to latte. I came again and got the earl gray and was disappointed. It was far busier that time, as it was around 9 am on a weekday and the barista might have been rushing out orders. I really did not enjoy the drink and ended up throwing it out. It tasted bitter as opposed to the harmonious drink we initially had. Will give another chance when it's not busy! read more

An unassuming little place- They have a rotating art exhibit (when we were there the artist was 11yo!) They also have a very eclectic book collection that may function as a little free library although it wasn't clear. There are a handful of paintings around the place that are done with coffee. If I lived locally, I might hang out here and work- there was someone setting up to do just that as we were leaving. read more

I'm from Miami. My hometown is Weehawken and I make sure that anytime I come visit, I go to Ispresso. Every time I go it's the same smiling face of a proud owner. They support the arts and bring out the best of park ave. I hope this places sees continued success and helps the neighborhood grow. I never change my order, maybe I should after two years but I'm obsessed with the military latte. Match green tea and espresso, what more could you ask for? I don't even have to add any sugar because the matcha is naturally sweet. So grateful to have this place in town especially in an area where businesses come and go so so quickly. I've been back few times and it seems they've worked out all the kinks of opening a new business! AC works! Cold brew coffee Flavored iced or hot tea Menu on chalkboard behind register Outside seating Rotating art shows Local vendors Pastries and baked goods Chill cafe music I love the empanadas, passion fruit tea, cappuccinos, bagels, and coffee cake crumbles. Love that I can come in and there's always seating and cumfy chairs or new art on the walls and different foods to try. One of my favorite coffee shops that I've been too. Why? Huge selection of coffee and tea. Locally made pastries that look absolutely amazing. Unique space with lots of seating options. $3 cold brew. And it was fantastic. Comfy chairs. Awesome art work. Friendly employees. They were trying out some new recipes/products and brought me a plate to try. Stamp card. Free wifi. There are at least 5 or 6 coffee shops significantly closer to me that I can go to but I will still drive the extra 10-15 minutes to come here. Was here 2 days ago, looking for a change of environment to work and read. I ordered a hot latte and a red velvet cupcake, both of which were extremely good. The staff (lady) at the register was very serious and borderline rude. I asked if they had a chocolate croissant and she immediately said "No, we don't have that". I love going to local coffee shops generally because they provide the kindest service, but was definitely not expecting this. She did not smile at any of the customers, nor responded properly to the conversations that the customers were having with her. The storefront is very modest and can be deceiving and I was kinda skeptical about the ambience before entering. But I found that the place had a very an unexpectedly good ambience and interiors. I used to come in here all the time with my partner. We exclusively bought our beans here and frequently got drinks and snacks. But as the pandemic has progressed, the employees seem to have given up on trying to protect thier customers. Today I was trying to give it yet one more chance, and let go of all the other times the cashier's weren't wearing masks. But honestly, this guy was sitting at the front window drinking a coffee. There's a break room in the back. I've also seen him drinking outside (which is way less dangerous). The covid cases in New Jersey are now as high as they were at the highest peak in APRIL. And this cashier doesn't seem to care at all about everyone who has gotten sick and died from this disease. I will never step foot in here again. We are ordering all our coffee online. read more

TLDR: good (but overpriced) coffee. More of a library than a cafe. Rude customer service. -- I went to Ispresso to have a few informal coffee shop interviews. When I entered the cafe, it was eerily quiet, so as I ordered my coffee, I asked the barista at the counter if it was okay for me to conduct some interviews and he said it was fine. As I was about to start my second and final interview, the same barista told me that I had to leave even though I was about to purchase more beverages. He said it was because it was starting to get crowded, but there were still plenty of empty seats. Normally I would be more understanding, but I was really turned off by this since I asked beforehand if it was okay for me to be here. The coffee itself was okay, but overpriced and not worth it given how I was treated. read more

This was probably one of the best dirty chai lattes I've ever had but I made the mistake of not ordering a milk substitute. My brother ordered the military latte (matcha and espresso) and that was also very fragrant and bold. I loved the vibe of this cafe, would definitely return. So great to see a good coffee shop in the area where you can grab a great cup to go or even hang for a while. A great amount of coffee selections all reasonable priced along with some bake goods. Although I didn't think the staff was the friendliest I was mostly there to check out the coffee and shop itself. Hung out for about an hour and half and never felt rushed out of there, tons of tables to sit and work on. Music selection was great and it wasn't too loud. It got a little loud with some other customers but nothing to major or distracting. This place definitely has some great charm to it. As per a friends recommendation I tried this charming local coffee shop this morning. Ispresso at Park has been opened since last August.with nothing but rave reviews all the time.Apparently they support local artists as you will notice there paintings on the walls when you enter. I didn't try any of the small selection of pastries(maybe next time).Just ordered a cold brew.Prices are very reasonable.It was only $3.00 for my daily caffeine fix. Just a few people working on their laptops with the free wi-fi offered here.They have an eclectic about of tables and chairs all around.Which I believe is part of the charm of this place. Hot or cold,coffee or tea definitely worth a look if your in the area of Union City.Parking is street only.I was lucky as there was a lot about one block away.
