Perfect for a big and tasty meal! Service was amazing as we dined in and there were few people there (most were doing take-out). Both the birria and menudo were good but got tastier with the salsa and toppings. The restaurant has good upbeat music and overall a good vibe. Very clean and organized too. A nice little hole in the wall restaurant! I opted for the wet burrito and it was really good. I do wish they would add more cilantro & onions but other than that. It was good. The food is amazing. Chiliquiles with two over-easy eggs and black beans had the perfect, piquant flavor, complimented by the richness of the egg yolk. Prices are in line - ~$14 for the plate, not overflight but enough to satisfy my hunger. My sister only ate half of her huge wet burrito, though! Another reviewer decried the skimpiness of the complimentary chips, which is a valid point - but leaves plenty of room for the main event. Parking can be an issue; the entire curb is a red zone on Western. Street parking around the corner is questionable especially when the bank across the street is open. Very nice well mannered and gave some great dish recommendations. I ended up going with the green wet burrito Gada and it was delicious burrito was a good size too as I'm always asking. First off, I don't write reviews only if I have to. I left very disappointed, knowing the quantity for the price that I paid needed to be fairer. I feel like I got ripped off. The service was good. And the taste was good. They need to look at their pricing for the food they give. i got the chilaquiles breakfast plate with a medium horchate. And I left paying 20 bucks. (I should have gone to paseo san Miguel). I got 4 tablespoons of refried beans and about 20 chips with the mole, which I asked to substitute for the salsa instead. and 2 scrambled eggs. The plate came with 4 pre-made tortillas that were cold! Like they went out of the fridge. When I asked for the bill, I was charged an extra 2 dollars for the mole, which frustrated me since I asked for a substitute, not an add-on. I told her she needs to notify the customers about an extra charge. Also, on the menu, it shows it comes with meat. Then she told me you get to choose from eggs or meat. The plate should include both for the price!! I wish I had taken pictures. read more

I wasn't sure what to expect out of Las Delicias given the rough around the edges surrounding area, but what I found were some rock solid tacos that came out of what was clearly a family owned and operated shop. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? Las Delicias is nothing fancy, but abundant seating and salsa bar were a refreshing change of scenery from the taco stands and trucks that I'd frequented in South Los Angeles over the past several months. They accept credit card and get your tacos out quickly. Star. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? As Las Delicias has a proper brick and mortar shop when compared to the trucks and stands, I expected to be paying well over $1.50 per taco; so you can imagine my surprise when what were extremely generously sized and filled tacos came to only $1.39 each. Great value. Star. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? My pastor and carne asada tacos didn't change my life, but the meats were seemingly fresh, the tortillas buttery but without all the grease, and the salsas spicy and flavorful. Single Star. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? We should be rooting for businesses like Las Delicias to flourish, and given their prices, menu breadth, and execution, I'd gladly come to Las Delicias daily. Star. read more

If they had 0 stars that's what I'd give it. I'm not much of a yelp reviewer but this needed to be said. First of all the tamale or what is considered a tamale looks more like a pancake. Ok so presentation is important but not always the case for good Mexican food so I went ahead and poured my green salsa and took a bite and let me tell you this made me gag. I'm from East LA and savor my tamales from the street shopping carts as well as my Mexican restaurants but this, this was not Mexican tamales. It was undercooked in my opinion and salsa tasted sour. The food was delicious. I ordered menudo (one to go order is enough for two people), and the combination that comes with two chiles rellenos and a soft taco. For drinks we had agua de jamaica and agua de chilacayote (a type of squash, sweeten with piloncillo - Mexican brown sugar). The agua frescas were not too sweet, just perfect. All the food was to go. They also have pan dulce which you can tell is fresh because of how soft it is and a variety of desserts. I'll definitely be coming back for more. read more

The best place in Los Angeles to get authentic Mexican food hands down. The carne asada burritos are delicious, flavorful and very inexpensive. I believe they're just over five change plus tax. Food options in the neighborhood are pretty abysmal, so we were happy to find Las Delicias after moving in earlier this year. The chicken and carne asada tacos were perfectly seasoned and you can't go wrong with a quesadilla and guacamole on the side. This is just good Mexican food. I have two big issues though: SLOW service and occasional mistakes on the order. I freely admit patience is not my forte. But it shouldn't take 15-20 minutes to get a to-go order for a three people. I've called in advance and also ordered then walked across the street to shop at CVS only to arrive back at Las Delicias to further wait for my order. Also on two separate occasions, they messed up the order by either leaving out an item or giving us the wrong thing (i.e. wrong meat in tacos). It's just annoying and has definitely factored in on why we have not been back in the last month. Will most likely go back at some point and hope for a more seamless experience. read more

I just had 2 pollo tacos and a small tamarindo for FIVE DOLLARS & I'm full! The chicken tasted good - a little gristle but I picked that off - nice and well cooked. The only reason not giving 5 stars is that would require homemade tortillas, which these were not. Recommended for cheap, legit Mexican food. read more

I've been coming here for a little over a year now and have tasted a variety of things on the menu. Thus far I haven't had a complaint about any dishes. Costillas de puerco(pork ribs) in red sauce is my favorite because it's on the spicy side and I love the level of heat that it has.($7.50) I also enjoy the chicken Caesar salad although I've gotten it a bit wet at times and that is never appetizing to me on the plate. However you can get more food for lower price when ordering combo plates that are offered($8.25) The combo plate with 1 enchilada, a chille relleno, and two taquitos never fails to satisfy me! And it comes with rice and beans?! Oh my bob yes! ($7.55) Also they have amazing ahead frescas that I always enjoy! All in all its a solid and nice place to get a quick bite of some of your favorite Mexican American dishes for an affordable price! I always come back for more! read more

This used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant , but once the original owners sold, the food just hasn't been the same. That nice authentic Mexican food I once loved so much doesn't satisfy anymore. The sauces used to be so good, and now they always taste rancid and expired. They made the place look a bit better but the food doesn't cut it. If I could give a zero star I would. We ordered delivery. The food was packed wrong so my chilaquiles were tilted to the side and all the juice was all over the bag and half the chips. I ordered chicken to be added and received the smallest piece if red meat. Every restaurant makes food different which I can appreciate but this was just chips and sauce. There was a sprinkle of cheddar cheese no eggs. I got black beans though! My guys veggie burrito was just rice, beans and lettuce so I suppose technically it was just that. I have been coming here for 12 years. Never again. They remodeled and it looks good. However it appears they are under new management ... the food definitely looks and tastes different. I usually get steak tacos and a wet burrito. Today I found pieces of rock in my burrito. The burrito had no cheese on the top. Usually it's a tastefully generous amount So it feels like they are being cheap now. The pinto beans are usually smashed but they don't do that anymore I guess. Worst of all you can no longer get your own salsa for the chips... and they charge a dollar for a little ass container for salsa. Literally enough for like 2-3 chips. Not to mention they gave me chicken tacos and I ordered steak. So I'm good. Faithfully coming every month for 12 years . Never again. Sooo cheap!!! A dollar for a small container of salsa !!!
