I was skeptical about this place because of the gimmicky name and location whether it would be authentic. Surprisingly, it was really good and authentic. We came here instead of our usual taco spot because the girlfriend and I wanted drinks. We got a Pina Colada and a Strawberry Daquiri, not too heavy on the alcohol, but just enough that you taste it and yet it still tastes good. They give you complimentary chips and salsa which was on the sweet side and not spicy at all. I ordered guacamole and chips also which was really good. We got tacos and also Chuleta Asada (pork chops) with rice and beans. The tacos are huge in portion. I didn't really like my steak taco because they cut it into strips that were too big and hard to take a good bite, but the taste was good. Not my number 1 taco spot, but the pork chop entree with rice and beans I got was reallyyy good and well seasoned. Everything it comes with just makes sense too, with a side of guacamole and chopped tomatoes/peppers/onions. We had a good time and a satisfying meal. Service was great, multiple waitresses stopped by our table to make sure we ordered and then checked in with us throughout our meal that everything was okay. Stopped by for lunch one day (and a margarita) because it was one of those days, on top of one of those days, you know how things go during a pandemic. They suck, everything sucks, but thankfully places like this are braving the storm and doing what they can to keep the community happy. Thankfully! I decided to get some chicken enchiladas verde to mix things up a bit, because it gets boring going with red sauce all the time, and it was a nice change. Tasty stuff, it paired well with the side of plantains. Another plus here is you get some chips and salsa included with the meal (although the salsa was watery, but it was free so I can't complain). Overall, this place was great and quite possibly life saving because my fridge died overnight and had to throw away everything... so it was a well timed meal. I found this restaurant recently, I visited this place three times in the month of July. The alcoholic drinks are great. I enjoyed the frozen tamarin and mango margaritas and the piña colada was good. The skirt steak plater was okay but the steak tacos are great. Due to the COVID-19, I think their menus should be on paper, one time use or ask the customers to check the menu on their phones. They have seating outside, the waiters wears gloves, all employees wear mask and I will like for them to disinfect between customers. Our go-to place whenever we want to order in! In my opinion, you really can't beat their portions and prices! I usually order their tostadas 8 out of 10 times - even though you're not eating it fresh from the restaurant, the tostada shell is still very crunchy! I would recommend the chorizo tostada. Writing this review right after I had just finished licking my fingers from this delicious dinner!! I had ordered delivery on this cold cold night and my order arrived in less than 40 minutes. My boyfriend and I had ordered a whole bunch with our starving stomachs. I had the Half Chicken with two sides ($8) in which I had rice and beans. The chicken had the perfect, crispy skin and the meat was tender and moist all around, even after it cooled down. I literally had enough to pack for lunch the next day. He had the Al Pastor Torta ($6.95) which we expected it to be like the deli sized sandwich on a roll but NO it was a good 1.5-2x bigger and also STUFFED generously with meat, lettuce, avocado, pickled jalapeños and cheese. Then we also ordered two Al Pastor tacos and a Pollo taco ($2.95 each). Oh and Horchata ($2.95) with expectations it'd be watered down but it was the perfect cinnamon flavor. Everything was PHENOMENAL. We had so much leftover because we underestimated the portion. We were very regretful because we should've tipped way more than we did but Las Margaritas has become one of our go tos in the area. They start you out with free chips and pico de gallo-this dip is delicious. The chicken flautas is excellent-this is the 2nd time I have had it and it's always on point. We had beef nachos but honestly I felt like the meat was too rough and chewy. Had I had nachos with no meat, it would have been fine. The guacamole is delicious-so fresh and tasteful-you can really taste the cilantro and the richness of the avacados. We also ordered the flan-ohhhhhhh myyyyyy-hellooooooo sweet caramel goodness. They've got $30 pitchers of mojitos, margaritas, sangrias, and other specialty Mexican drinks, which is a plus when you want to have more than one drink and you split it one or a few other friends. Not only is the booze amazing quality and flavor, but the food has never ceased to amaze me. I usually order carnitas and they are great, but I got creative last time and ordered tacos camarones. There's much better more authentic Mexican food to be had in the area.... The empanadas are good and the guacamole is fine. I ordered an al pastor burrito and it was truly horrible. I love al pastor tacos but the burrito was a highly unsuccessful venture. The flour tortilla was stuffed with pork gyro meat which was very fatty and salty (expected the meat to be salty and have some fat) but there was zero pineapple in it which is typical in an al pastor taco and helps balance the fat and salt with the acid and sweet. I actually also found the balance of meat to other ingredients really overkill, but if you like a burrito stuffed with meat, this is for you. It was topped with an extremely salty cheese that might go well on other burritos but certainly not with the salty al pastor burrito. And all served with some extremely soggy fries. The Cecina burrito wasn't much better. I'll probably stick to other places in the neighborhood read more

Low standards in the kitchen and heavy handed pours. The chips are not home made and are clearly store bought. Eating my chimichanga here made me feel like I was on an episode of bar rescue and kitchen nightmares. My chimichanga was clearly frozen and microwaved, not well. It was soggy and not crispy. The plate of rice my wife had with her enchiladas was hard. My whole family commented that the drinks were over poured and trudged through their drinks which were less cocktails and more just liquor with a mixer in it. I would have said that the service was the only saving grace but the real kicker was that they didn't tell us this until after we payed. There's a very hefty charge associated with using a credit card to pay, if we had known we would have payed with cash instead. I've never had a disappointing experience here . I wanted to cry because I wanted what he had lol . But no seriously everything I've ordered off the menu were always delicious. The drinks , forget about it . One drink will have u feeling nice . My favorite drink is the passion fruit mojito. I would've taken pics of my plate but it was the same thing I always get but once my husband's food came out I was like I must snap a pic . Came here during a weeknight and this place was packed. Overall, I do like the restaurant and the food and would rate it a 3.5 star. What was missing was the drinks, as we had ordered frozen drinks that wasn't well made at all. Perhaps we ordered the wrong type of drink and should have stuck to the margaritas. Maybe we can try next time their other happy hour drink specials. The restaurant has a laid back quiet vibe. They bring out freshly crunchy chips with salsa which was quite good. However, when the delivery guy arrived he asked my wife for cash, she told him of course that I paid. And since I paid with our joint account, she could even see it on her phone. After she came upstairs thinking the matter was settled, he rang our bell again. She went back downstairs, and the guy called the store who also said they had not been paid. She says they argued for a while, (or she argued, he kept saying "I don't know... Cash") and she told him not to ring our bell again. He made no motion to leave (and she adds, routinely ignored her and refused to look at her when she spoke). She had to physically turn and escort him from our building, and make sure he unlocked his bike and rode away. And, on top of that, they gave us a soup we didn't order (but paid for...)
