Had their margaritas, both blended and on the rocks, both were good. We had a California burrito which was very good and filled with steak, chicken & shrimp, plenty big enough and very good. Also had their margarita baked potato, who knew you associate baked potatoes with a Mexican restaurant, we had two and both were loaded with steak, chicken, shrimp and all the trimmings, ate half and took the rest home for lunch next day. The nachos were thin and crisp, salsa was good, a little more spicy would have been nice, but ate way too much of them anyway. We came in from California to visit family, were recommended to try the restaurant and will come back again next trip. read more

Went in for dinner, they clearly have two signs posted as you walk in , one for dinner one for lunch. The Saturday dinner special clearly says $1.99 small margarita. Our ticket came and the margarita was $6.99 and said two for one. When we got to the register and asked for it to be changed they said it was an old sign. We asked were we supposed to get two, the management said no to that as well. So even though they have these signs out they WILL NOT honor it. Such a rip off. We won't be back. read more

Will never eat here again. We were here over 45 minutes before our order was even taken. We would have left after 1 hour and 30 minutes when we still didn't have our food but it was for a birthday party. Absolutely ridiculous. I would give zero stars if I knew how. Couldn't even enjoy our food because we didn't have enough time to enjoy it. We had to get to-go boxes so when the food came out we could transfer food and leave. We really enjoyed Las Margaritas. We ordered the Roc Tacos. They were the best tacos we've had in a while. Loaded with meat, veggies and cheese. Request one of their specialty hot sauces. We loved the tomatillo hot sauce . Service was great! We would go again. read more

My wife and I ate there a few years ago and were very disappointed. Being originally from Chicago, we were used to real good, real Mexican food AND margaritas. Neither would I have recommended. We decided to give another try when we saw the restaurant was under new management. Too bad they didn't hire new cooks. Food was again very bland and disappointing. Ordered a traditional steak taco with rice and beans. The taco didn't come with the onions I specifically asked for. Even the chips and salsa was bland. Didn't want to risk spending money on a bad margarita so this time I just had a beer. At least it was cold. read more

They ruffied my wife and made a mockery of it. She ordered a drink and after some time the bartender/waiter noticed she hadn't drank any of it and laughed and said too much tequila. We were weekly customers and will never go back again. read more

Sat on the patio, the chairs were clearly meant to have cushions but did not. Ordered guacamole that I think was just mashed avocados and possibly salt. There were no onions, tomatoes or seasoning that I could taste, not even a lime. The tacos al pastor were swimming in sauce that wasn't very good. It tasted like store bought bbq sauce with some chili powder mixed in. After the first bite, i tried to eat them with a fork but finally just gave up and ate chips and salsa. My wife and I stopped here for lunch on Friday. We had the Special which was perfect for our Paleo Diet plan. We had a grilled chicken breast with 3 huge grilled seasoned shrimp, chorizo, a Pico salad with guacamole and sour cream, and refried beans. We couldn't have the tortillas or Mexican rice or chips and salsa, but they smelled and looked super. We will absolutely be back. Awesome service too. read more

While visiting Winchester, we decided to eat at Las Margaritas and we noticed that a sign said that it is under new management. The atmosphere was typical of any Mexican restaurant. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our waitress did a fine job. The food was tasty. But the big draw back for us was the amount of salt used in the food. Everything was way too salty. The red sauce (enchilada) could use some tweaking as it was not as you would expect an enchilada sauce to be. However, this is only the opinion of 2 people. I've learned that eating at an "authentic" Mexican restaurant is no different than eating at any "home cooking" restaurant from anywhere in the U.S. It's tastes and flavors come from the style of cooking used in the area from which the cook is from. So, therein lies the difference in why Mexican food tastes different from one restaurant to another. Las Margaritas is definitely worth trying. You get an enormous amount of food for the $$. The cook just needs to lighten up on the salt. Otherwise, I would give it a 2 thumbs up. We will definitely be eating here again in the future since we will soon be making our permanent home in Winchester. read more
