We got takeout and it was really greasy/oily. Mine in particular was fish/shrimp and vegetables and rice, and I thought that would be a pretty clean and healthy option but it was swimming in grease. The food is actually pretty good otherwise, and would be a lot better without that. Service was good. read more

We were in Chelsea to get tires put on and decided to get lunch while there. Las Mesas was close and convenient. The chips and dip came quickly - love that! The server was nice. The burrito was average. I wouldn't make a special trip to go back for my order but it was fine for the occasion. The facility and bathroom were clean. read more

Update from six months ago: Wow, someone read my review! The crowd has doubled! Full restaurant with at least 3 parties waiting to get in on a Saturday night. Best to come early or later than 6 pm! Food was still very good! This time I had steak quesadilla supreme, which meant it came with salad instead of rice/beans. I gave mine a 4.5 grade. Hubby had the steak Tacos Al Carbon on flour Tortillas, which he graded 4.1 out of 5. Our friend had talapia topped with shrimp, a new dish which looked fantastic. He liked it. Decor and service still excellent. Prices are reasonable. Shared a medium margarita (good sized!) which was another 4.5! Our 2 entrees and the drink were about $35. Only downside is we felt a bit rushed. At least waitress was very attentive! read more

For Alabama this is not too bad. I had carne asada tacos and my wife Diablo camarones ( shrimp) it was delicious! Service was great and plenty of seating. I'll go back when I visit. read more

Our entrees were the Burrito Deluxe Dinner (Texan) and a Chimichanga with steak. Both of these were winners and we would definitely get them again! A lot of times Mexican restaurants just kind of run together but we felt like this one was a cut above the rest. The staff was very friendly and attentive and seemed happy to be there and took great care of us. Really great atmosphere with tasty food and large portions. Restaurant looks great inside and out however the food does not live up to its looks. Good place for margaritas but the flavor and freshness of the food is honestly below average. I've been here 5 times and tried 5 separate entrees and they were all subpar. Staff is nice and service was okay but again if you're going there for a good meal then I would recommend finding another restaurant. read more

I have no clue why this place has such bad ratings. If you are wanting Mexican food & are hesitant to come here due to the reviews i would recommend ignoring them & trying for yourself. I came here with my family yesterday (table for 13). They were more than attentive, refilling our drinks constantly & making sure we had chips & salsa the whole time. I ordered the shrimp fajitas, my family ordered all different things and not one of us was disappointed. The food came quick and we had a very nice experience. I have friends who go to this place often and agree that it's always spot on! Absolutely delicious, I wish I was there right not lol read more

The cashier was rude and hateful. They are not good to their employees. When they make a mistake with an order they charge the employee. How do we know this we said something about our bill And they made our waiter pay the difference. Food was not not good. Beans were bland and rice was not soft. The waiter was super nice to us. We will not eat at a place that will treat their employees bad. read more

12/10/22 I treated my wife, my son and his wife to lunch. My son and his wife live near Houston, Texas and are very familiar with Mexican cuisine. We all ordered different menu items. The food portions were good. The cook was spot on and the service was fair. The most and worst problem a restaurant can have is the food not having flavor. Of the four meals, none had any seasoning. The most amazing looking plate without flavor is pitiful. read more

Don't order chorizo tacos. I ordered two tacos a la carte. Served with lettuce and cheese only, $7 each taco! Not listed on their menu but still, I don't know ONE place who sells a chorizo taco for $7. My full meal with steak quesadilla, rice and beans was cheaper than the two tacos. They lack common sense when it comes to pricing their add-ons. What a shame read more

You can get better food at Taco Bell.atmosphere is nice but is disappointing and over priced Americanized Mexican cuisine. Sad to put so much attention to the building and landscaping just to have the food mediocre at best! We tried this place because our FAVORITE place Besitos was closed. I had the shrimp tacos and my husband had regular beef tacos. The flour tortillas for the shrimp taco was soggy and the beef was undercooked. They took the beef tacos off the bill which was nice. The frozen margarita tasted good but they did not have salt on the rim. It was jalapeño flakes instead. The guacamole and queso was good. The service was very fast. read more

It's ok at times, but way too loud and noisy. Hard to have a conversation with screaming music. Basically all the same food packaged in different ways. The ground beef is tasteless. Chips are too thick, so are rock hard, but salsa is pretty good. Often, the chilies are not roasted properly, so can be not edible. Drive staff good, since night. read more
