Las Palmeras is the best Mexican restaurant in Longmont or Boulder County! The food is excellent, and the employees are very friendly.

Love this place Great food always tastes wonderful! Friendly staff! Great prices! They separated my meal on the separate plates. so my torta did not get soggy! Very thoughtful

Have only started coming here since Covid. Their breakfast burritos are top notch. Tonight was the first time I got dinner and the Steak Chili Fries are totally wonderful. Looking forward to trying the chili rellenos. Highly recommend trying this little place.

Service 2 Response from the owner 9 hours ago Daniel, my apologies that my host did not find better words to inform you that we are a tavern. While we allow children... we are not a family restaurant. I'm shocked that after you were enlightened to our lack of a high chair you went postal, bad reviews, ranting on next door, calling the tavern and yelling at the staff... all because you wanted a high chair... you have official earned your full KAREN badge. One of the strangest experiences in a restaurant that I have had on any continent…read more My wife and kid had gone out for the evening, so I am on my own. Someone had mentioned that they liked 'that little place on Third', so I go and check it out. I am seated immediately right by the door, at the left end of the bar, and given a menu. After 17 minutes the waitress finally comes back for my order (it became oddly long enough that I started tracking all of this). I ordered steak frites and a glass of wine (it's kind of my default). About 15 minutes later it comes out and I am served. The frites and wine are just 'ok'. Not bad or anything... just not noteworthy. I finish my meal and wait. And, wait. And......wait..... After a while the waitress comes out and I order some cheesecake. She goes away with the order and I realize that there is this bartender, obviously drunk, trying to entertain an older couple (that was also kind of drunk), and he attempted to wax poetic about the value of different liqueurs and their social nobility. It went On. And. On. After a conspicuous while I interrupted and asked where the wait staff was. He just pointed at the kitchen entrance and then ignored me, and proceeded to stumble his speech some more. I look over and all the wait staff is just standing there ignoring all of the clientele. I catch the eye of my waitress and wave my hand for attention. She sees me, and then turns around and continues talking to the other staff. Thinking this is some sort of joke I decide to see what this takes to just get some dessert. After a while the older couple shuffle on, and the bartender finally does some actual bartending/cleaning. I ask again where the staff is and he literally *rolls his eyes* and walks away. A minute later the waitress comes out with the cheesecake. I check my watch. It's been **42** minutes. The cheese cake was 'ok' grade pre-made fare, but that's about it. It was a 42 minute wait for manufactured cheesecake while having to listen to some self-important drunk d-bag trying to educate other drunks. I mentioned all of this to the person that referred me there, and they just responded with "Oh yeah, that's the owner." Lackluster food, garbage service, all wrapped up in an uninteresting atmosphere. Edit: If you really want to see some real Klass, check the owners response.

We were also offered bar seating or the enclosed patio- so there are many options. Based on others reviews, we needed to order the banging cauliflower- and it was excellent. Highly recommend. I ordered the Chilean salmon and it was HUGE so took half of it home for lunch tomorrow. Very tasty. Husband has the crab cakes- they were pretty thin but there were three of them. It would have been better with more lump crab- the sauce and sweet potatoes were tasty. Our cousin enjoyed her ahi tuna bowl. Service was excellent! laurel took great care of us. I was a little irritated, as it was slightly breezy, but I got over that quick once I tried the food. We had the steak frites, the Thai pork tacos, an old fashioned, and the chocolate decadence for dessert. The steak frites were great- the truffle fries were seasoned with garlic, and served with a great cream sauce. The steak was perfectly cooked rare. Super tender. But the tacos absolutely stole the show. Sweet and spicy with a touch of crunch, and the potato fries were stellar too! The old fashioned really let the whiskey shine, with just a touch of citrus. I think I would try a different dessert though- the decadence was good but didn't quite live up to the tacos. The interior was decorated very cute- mid century modern mixed with plants and some neon signs that said cute things. Our server was excellent- very friendly and on top of it. Overall, I would unquestionably come back next time I am in the area, and suggest you go there too. It's totally worth it.
