My family and I had a wonderful experience at The Den on Eleventh. We were in town for a graduation and this was the pre-graduation dinner before the big day. We made a reservation a couple hours before our arrival and it worked out great. Even though it wasn't super busy, we had a table waiting for us on the patio when we arrived. Our server was excellent. I think her name was Lucy. She did a great job explaining the menu and daily specials. She gave some solid recommendations and made sure we had what we needed throughout the meal. Our group started with the Rhode Island Calamari. Very good - no complaints. For entrees, our group ordered the Fish N Chips, Tuscan Chicken, Steak Frites, Mahi Fish Tacos, and the daily special which was a Surf & Turf. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The mashed potatoes which comes with some of the entrees is seriously so good - some of the best restaurant mashed potatoes I've ever had. The fish with the Fish N Chips was excellent. Both parties who got the Tuscan Chicken raved about how good their dish was. The fries were very tasty as well. Honestly everything was good. The only criticism was the Steak which came on the Surf & Turf was a tad over-cooked than requested. For dessert we ordered the Chocolate Cake and the Crème Brûlée. Again, delicious. I would 1000% come back if I lived closer. Yes it's a bit pricier than your typical chain options, but I felt the quality of food and service was worth it. read more

Definitely one of my favorite Longmont spots. Really good food, I love the mussels and the calamari. Their all day Monday happy hour can't be beat. The ambient music is very nice and not too loud. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. read more

Overall was good, not great. Would give it a 3.5. The Steak Frites was the star; best in Longmont. The Lasagna was interesting; very meat driven and not as cheesy and gooey as I like. A bit dry as well. Unfortunately none of the entrees was as hot as they should have been. Burrata was excellent and thanks for having Oysters. The wine selection was very disappointing. Not even a dozen wines. No one enjoyed the Tuscan Sella Antica we ordered. Two wines from Paso Robles which is odd given how small the list is. Service was excellent. Our server Lucy was amazing! Such a nice cozy space, elegant light fixtures and I felt "held" by the dark green, den inspired color palette. A place for lunch, date night, and everything in between. Their seasonal drink menu was a hit! Muddled blueberry mojito, yes please - I enjoyed the non alcoholic spritzer. They have a bar separate from the dining area which offered its own cozy atmosphere. We saw the comfy booths and opted for the dining area since we were there to catch up and "be there awhile." The dining area was tidy and the tables (and booths!) were set with crisp, white tablecloths..... ours caught all my truffle fries crumbles, toppings that had a chance to escape, sorry Lucy! We love this restaurant for the great quality of food, and the atmosphere is so welcoming. What had become important to me and my husband is just good food at a very fair price. The Den burger is my fav with the truffle fries, which are ridiculously delicious, Never have i ever eaten all the fries on my plate. My husband loves ordering there specials. The service is wonderful, and you can just tell customers are so happy and comfortable there. There are so many options for places to eat, but few gems! This has become one our favs. read more

I have really enjoyed going to the Den. The servers know us and are always so nice. The dining room is much improved since the Longmont Public House. I'm leaving this review today because I am so disappointed in the salad selection. The Den has had such delicious original salads. The choice now is a Cobb, Caesar or Wedge. Disappointed on first and what will be our only visit. Thought we would try this based on yelp reviews and now feel obligated to add a review so others don't make the same mistake. Arrived at 5:00 and somewhat brusquely asked if we had a reservation. The place was empty except for perhaps two tables. They "accommodated" us as long as we would promise to be out in two hours. We should sure as we weren't planning to stay longer anyway. Asked if they had an event later thinking maybe they were going to besetting up for something and a got a curt "no". Maybe they need to protect what I would guess are 7pm reservations but that could have been done politely. Not a welcoming start. We ordered the Tuscan Chicken with two glasses of wine (one waiting for order and one after food arrived) and Francis lasagna with a beer. Added the garlic bread "service". Bread was 4 slices with two edible after scraping off the burned portions, two were just charred black crisps which we sent back. Asked for another basket which was fine, but was surprised to see we were charged for two bread "services". Two issues there. First a bread "service" is different from a bread "basket" so surprised to see a "service" consists of 4 slices. Second, we did get half off the first bread "service" which seems to acknowledge 2 of the four were inedible. In hindsight, we should have returned the all 4 slices. In our defense, the empty restaurant made it clear they were only accommodating us if we were in out quickly so we tried to make due using the knife to scrapes off enough to make the two pieces edible after dipping in sauce to soften up. Tuscan chicken was okay. Francis Lasagna should be avoided. Menu said it was "provolone, swiss, uncured pepperoni, meat sauce". The last part accurately describes this. Think a spaghetti and meat sauce dish you would get at a kid's team potluck. Similar to bread "service" being less than you would expect, "uncured pepperoni" meant there was literally a single pepperoni in the dish. Ambience is not great. Bar area seemed nice, main dining area looks like a cafeteria with nicer tables. Place had a few more tables filled but was still largely empty when we left. Not the servers fault so always leave at least 20% even if the restaurant didn't work out. Left overall feeling cheated and unwelcome. We will help make sure they don't need to worry about rushing people through by not coming in the first place. Lots of great dining elsewhere in Longmont so suggest you do the same, read more

First time trying out this restaurant. All-night happy hour on Mondays! Besides our drinks, we had truffle fries, calamari, crispy Brussels sprouts... *and* split a burger! Wow! We have eaten here many times, and love the food and atmosphere , but I will be honest in that our experience tonight started off quite poorly. We made a reservation over a month ago and yet, when seated, we were told that we had only ONE HOUR to sit there, and would then be moved to the bar, because they had too many reservations and would be busy. Excuse me?! Not our problem. We enjoy dining ... including cocktails, appetizers, dinner, dessert, and after dinner drinks, and we spend a lot of money to DINE and enjoy our food. Thankfully we were never asked to move, but it was not a good start to our evening. It created underlying tension that we were not welcome, and we felt rushed, during our entire dinner. Visiting family in Boulder area, we met there for dinner. Food was really good, ordered: salad, fries and Brussels for starters to share with the group. I had lasagna for dinner, was good and ate the whole portion with the house wine. Service was not quick, we had to get up to ask for service several times. Dessert was great! Cream Brûlée Parking was a nightmare, parked in the lot on the side and was approached by a person from the gym next door that told us he owned that spot and we had to move. No signs or information anywhere indicating that was posted. We moved and had to park way far away. Really upset one member of our group who said he would never come back because of that incident. read more

When I tell you this place has the best steak frites.... I mean THE BEST. The steak is cooked to absolute perfection and the peppercorn sauce is to die for. We go here very frequently and the staff is friendly and attentive, ambience/atmosphere is great, and food is delicious. Not to mention they have great happy hour. Well, this may be the best food in Longmont. We enjoyed their Happy Hour all evening on a Monday night and got the oysters and two cocktails. The oysters were perfectly creamy. We also got the Wedge Salad, Salmon, and Steak Frites (with Truffle fries--these are a MUST!). All the flavors are bright, delicious, and honestly crave-able. This is a cozy place with a pub-like atmosphere, but quiet. My cocktail was perfect and the Brussels sprouts appetizer was really delicious. The mains were appreciated by all and the presentation was professional and attractive (I had the mahi mahi tacos which were very good). The service was friendly and fast. I will return...it was an excellent meal, but I must note that the mains took quite a long time to reach our table. It seemed that the kitchen must have been swamped. Nice atmosphere for a date. We sat in the lounge at a low top. The service was consistently good throughout our visit with regular "stop bys" to see if we needed anything else. Good happy hour selection, both appetizers and cocktails. I ordered a Rosemary spritz mocktail, which I really enjoyed. We ordered the calamari and brussel sprouts appetizers. We went on the Wednesday $10 burger night. The place was jumping and we had a reservation, which I recommend. The noise level was high. We each ordered a cocktail, Old Fashioned and Manhattan, and they were perfect. For the meal we ordered 1/2 dozen oysters (very fresh), the burger special with fries (excellent), crab cake (not ready for prime time) and a Caesar salad (fresh and authentic).
