The food needs to be consistently good and fresh. We ordered 3 carne asada tacos and one smothered burro. Both had old ingredients. Especially the meat. I called the main store to speak with the owner but she didn't return my call. I usually give restaurants a chance to make it right. Love love love the food , however the service from the owners son, has made me change my mind about the experience, which is a shame as I love the Alambre , i normally get it with just pork as I'm allergic to red meat , and the ladies are always so sweet and understanding. I'm updating my review from eight years ago. The flavors are still 5 star... nobody does it better regarding that, but the quality of the meat is hit or miss. More often than not, the meat is so full of gristle it's inedible. Not always, but often. So, awesomely flavored but inedible meat kind of defeats the purpose. First, our 4-year-old declared that she was about to have an accident while we were driving home, and the staff at Danny's let us run in and use the bathroom. No accidents !! Then, we ordered a deconstructed burrito for said child, and two vegetarian burritos for my husband and me, along with a side of beans and rice. Everything was SO delicious! Disgusting tacos. As I ordered tacos + a quesadilla de asada, I thought it was going to be delicious. No the food truck folks forgot my order and when I inquired about it after twenty minutes and asked, "Where's my food?" They just told me "Chill" nonchalantly and ignored me a couple times. As if it were my fault...no attempt was made to resolve the situation at all. The food finally came out and the meat was drier than a tree bark what the heck? P.S. you have a good menu; but be better Danny's workers. Not to mention, all the sauce bottles were empty and unattended to and ignored. Hello, customers who are looking to satisfy their tacos cravings! The tacos were out fast, and they looked delectable!! Unfortunately though, when I bit into my second taco I found that there was a bone in my meat. This was completely and utterly disgusting. The green salsa was also very spicy. The spiciest green salsa I've had. I thought it was supposed to be mild?? This was my first time eating here, and definitely my last. There are so many Mexican places in Longmont and in my opinion, the foods I have in this Danny's location are only average; not bad, not good and not particularly flavorful. This review is for their location at 17th and Hover. Nachos for $11 were below average. They didn't have much sour cream and cheese sauce was used instead of cheddar cheese. When you get nachos at the Sunset Pool you're gonna get cheese sauce because the nachos are $4. When you have nachos at a restaurant for $11 I want it to have cheddar cheese. The pork, with the nachos was very good. The chips themselves were decent, nothing special. There are probably 40 Mexican restaurants in Longmont. I'll try another next time. read more

After living in LA for seven years and being spoiled by amazing and authentic Mexican street tacos, I wasn't sure that I would find something that compares when I moved to Longmont. I've tried a handful of taco spots, but by far, Danny's makes the most authentic and delicious tacos thus far. All the meats are well cooked and well seasoned, the tortillas are delicious (and seem possibly handmade?), and the salsas are amazing. They were also super friendly! Danny, Carolina, and family have been selling delicious tacos suaderos out of their taco trucks for awhile now, and I've loved them every time I've had them. I'm stoked to see they now have a brick and mortar location open in the plaza on 17th and Hover. I got a couple of their smothered burritos today, and I can say they are truly chronic. This place was sort of hiding in the corner of Main Street and 15th ave. You might almost miss it! They have a super simple menu of tacos and tortas and a few soft drinks. They're tacos are DELICIOUS! I had the alpastor and asada. They ask if you want onions and cilantro. Of course I added this to my tacos! They're very affordable and yummy. I highly recommend! They have some benches set out to sit about four people. But I wouldn't recommend eating outside if you're not into that. read more

Just stopped at this place out yesterday 7/15/2019. I don't know if they have two locations? I went to the location on Hover and 17th. Ever since moving here to Colorado from Southern California I haven't been able to find a decent Mexican joint. I mean, most are just "okay". Danny's was good authentic Mexican food. I had 3 Carne Asada Tacos. Very good, Totally enjoyed it and the people working there were very friendly. I'll be back. I don't know whether the fact I live two blocks from where their food truck is always parked is a blessing or a curse. Moving from Chicago a year ago I had high hopes for Mexican food in the area and honestly this is the only place that hasn't disappointed me. My husband's the torta guy, while I'm the taco lover so between the two of us we have tried everything on the menu and I can't even pick a favorite. It's all been fresh and oh so delicious! Simple, satisfying, no frills-this place is perfect. Everyone is friendly, quick, efficient and seem to have built great relationships with their regulars. There is a tent set up in the warmer months with a couple of tables if you don't want to take your food to go. I've spent a couple of meals sitting there just chatting with other patrons. Helpful Tip: The parking lot they are located in is small and normally packed with cars, just another indication of how good they really are, so park across the street in the mini mall parking lot on the north side of 15th for easier access. read more

Think the quality has suffered since hiring staff and expanding unfortunateky which is bound to hapoen with most operations as expansion takes priority. Ive heard from other people that theyve been over charged at times or change is not returned. I wish them the best but i sure hope theyre able to maintain the level of quality with which they started as I myself at times have received tortas that were bit bland or dry dues to no mayo or lack of food and bread just being too much vs meat portion. Also suadero was favorite but was cooked well while remaining moist but not rarely does the suadero have a that slight crunch on outside most likely due to sped process. read more
