Last minute spur of the moment trip-after extensive research, decided on staying at Las Rocas Resort! Almost reserved through bookings.com but decided to call the resort directly. Perla took my call and provided me with amazing customer service. She was very kind and informative and took the time to assist me. I told her exactly what I was looking for and she was able to guide me to their website, which shows the different types of rooms and includes pictures and virtual tours of the rooms. Their Junior Suite is what we picked. It had everything that we wanted and it just so happened to be the one with the biggest square footage (out of the various suites they offer) Came with a King Bed. Living room with a fireplace and directly behind...the beach views!! The BALCONY is nice and big with a patio that was perfect for enjoying a gorgeous sunset over the ocean. Large bathroom with a Bathtub and shower!! And a kitchenette and coffee maker. No AC but a very strong fan in the bedroom area and a ceiling fan in the living room. The patio door is huge and has blackout curtains, but we chose to sleep with the patio door open and it was such a vibe with the sounds of the waves crashing! Beautiful heated infinity pools and jacuzzis! Best part is the drive to Puerto Nuevo for delicious sea food is super close by! Took us like 10 mins! Drove there for dinner and to catch the World Series game (GO DODGERS) Back at the resort we enjoyed some house margaritas that were included with our stay. The breakfast at their restaurant was also such a delight. I would absolutely recommend and return again! Good for relaxing romantic vibes. Their spa offers great value for their services-they have massages and facials. Didn't see any kids during our stay and it was cool having access to their bars and fireplace seating downstairs. Music and good vibes with pool tables and karaoke. The entire staff was very welcoming and kind. Checked us in quickly and escorted us to our room. Zero complaints.

The free breakfast that's included. The red salsa is delicious.

Booked a one night stay at this resort. Easy booking through Booking.com easy to find about 20 miles from TJ. Love that they were able to check me in before time. When it came to checking into my room, I was told I only had one bed when I booked two I even had confirmation and showed front desk personnel, and they did nothing to accommodate. I had to pay the upgraded charge out-of-pocket. On the plus side love that their pools are heated, great free breakfast, I think all rooms have that great ocean view, overall great customer service. Rooms have no heater or AC but you do get a fan in the closet. Make sure to plug your TV in so that it works.

The location is beautiful! The rooms are a bit old, and musky but not too bad. The view is amazing!! The walk on the beach was exactly what I needed.

Enjoyed a quick one night trip. We usually do Airbnbs when in Rosarito but finally checked out Las Rocas. My mom use to come here during the early 2000s when it was in its prime. It's older now and could use a fresh coat of paint but the grounds of the hotel are nicely taken care of. The hotel room is very simple but it's clean and comfy. The free breakfast was great! I'd definitely return.

The bigger more expensive rooms are really great. The smaller less expensive one are ok though. No matter what room you have, you will have a wonderful diner at thier restaurant. Great chef obviously. The American breakfast was also good. We have stayed there 5 times now and the food and drink is consistently wonderful.

Their staff is incredibly professional, friendly, and attentive. The grounds beautifully landscaped and well maintained. We got tickets for complimentary breakfast and it was delicious and generous portions. The coffee kept coming without having to hunt around for servers. Dinner was grilled octopus with roasted potatoes and another veggie also good. Local wine was semi dry and a perfect accompaniment. The next day we ordered the non-complimentary breakfast: chilaquiles with a side of scrambled eggs and beans topped by Mexican cheese and a whole sliced avocado. Also really good! Luis tended bar Friday night and had my sister and I in stitches with his jokes and hearty laugh--always appropriate and respectful yet warm and friendly. The mattresses were unfortunately, on the hard side otherwise I'd say this stay was perfect.

    Great room with awesome view!

Perla was amazing and took really great care of us. We all clicked with her right away and she made sure we got the VIP treatment. Great stay for the value -- same as it was 24 years ago but better with Perla.

Can't enjoy patio if anyone below is having a fire

Avoid the 4th floor! In winter when the fireplaces are going, you can be bombarded by carbon monoxide chimney exhaust because the exhaust vents RIGHT ONTO THE BALCONY!!! This is unacceptable and truly dangerous. Other than that we actually loved this place. HOT jacuzzi, 2pools, restaurant, and beautiful grounds. Centrally located between Rosarito and Puerto Nuevo (lobster village). And we will come back because it's a great price. Just be aware that there is NO A/C or heat (to my knowledge). So pack accordingly.

I remember entering the double doors of Las Rocas entrance area to lobby ... it was getting chilly and some winds blowing around. Lots of parking to choose from but I'm pretty sure during peak seasons, this place gets packed. My partner and I were looking for an over-nighter during the weekday as we wanted to eat dinner at our favorite seafood restaurant that's on the outskirts of Rosario - Splash. We also wanted to get a few drinks afterwards and hangout at the resort. Las Rocas fit the bill, literally. Our resort bill was half what they normally charge for rooms. We were also given a nice upgrade. Unfortunately, our stay was just for the night. I didn't like that there was no elevator to get to our room on the third floor but it was ok as we didn't have much to lug around. As I've previously mentioned, it was just an over night stay at Las Rocas. However, should we have stayed longer, I would have preferred the bottom floor. The bartender that evening was friendly, engaging and very attentive. Mind you, we were the only ones around and another gentleman. I am pretty sure though, we would have received the same treatment had there been a full house at the bar. Darn, I can't remember his name (Luis?), but I do recall him telling us he's been around for 27 years. Such a dedicated bartender and one can see, he loves his job even 27 years later. Staff at front desk were hospitable and accommodating. The following morning, before our departure, back to San Diego, we had requested to view other rooms. Looking into future stay with our family and friends during summer months. Instantly, I liked the other rooms. They had kitchenettes, an extra room that led to back patio and poolside area, sleeper sofa, and decor had a modernness feel to it compared to that of our room. We had complimentary breakfast. I must say, for being "complimentary" I expected basic, plain and nothing fancy. Surprisingly, it was more than I expected, both in taste and its presentation. The cook won our hearts. We had a good breakfast along with a very attentive and friendly waitress. Also forgot her name. Side note. There was some mini construction like thing going on the front steps section of the resort, that led to the rooms stairway. It was taped off. Nothing to cause alarm or seem as safety issue but hoping it would get fixed when peak season comes around. It's also an eyesore. Our plan is to return again in the summer as we already got a favorably glimpsed of Las Rocas Resort. Overall experience was great- no complaints

This is a nice getaway spot if you live in Southern California. It's about an hour or 2 from the border. It's a quaint place with large rooms that overlook the ocean. They have morning yoga classes and free breakfast coupons. A couple pools and jacuzzis, beer on tap and a couple bars. There's a pool table and karaoke. It's small but if you are looking for a low key spot, this is it. Ensenada is an hour drive south for a nice day trip, and several restaurants about 15 min drive north. Free parking on-site. Nothing really in walking distance. Jesus statue located right across the street.

    Another terrible sunset. :P

Overall the best, most authentic resort hotel to stay while in Rosarito Beach. Not downtown with all of the congestion but only a 7 min drive if you wish to go into town. I have been a guest of this resort for over 24 years and can tell you the deal. Hands down coolest place. Best views from every room. Fantastic bars and restaurants on site. Friendly staff. Spa services. Package deals. We got married here as well. No brainer. Willy is the wedding and event coordinator that is a sweet man with professional attention to detail. The property is stunning. 2 pools next to the ocean, 3 hot tubs, large grass areas, access to a private beach, volleyball, outdoor games like beer pong and corn hole, palapa bar and restaurant seaside. Large banquet hall and many events hosted year round. Kareoke and Pool table in the inside bar. Secured parking. Walking distance to a very popular surf break. K38! Being honest I will tell you that you may have a light bulb out occasionally and if you are looking for a big US hotel chain aesthetic it will not be found here. Las Rocas is appreciated for its authentic Mexican design and decor. Clean and stylish with saltillo tiles, fresh Mediterráneo white paint and palm trees. Each room has a patio! Most of the staff have been there since I discovered Las Rocas and I am proud to call all of them my friends and look forward to seeing them. Luis, Roberto, Memo and Jonathon at the bar. Alfredo and Sergio at the front desk. Maria and all of the housekeeping ladies. Mario and all of the security guys. Cesar the GM. To name a few. If you are lucky, you might run into Dave and his sweet dog or along with any of the other owners. Absolutely a joy to spend time with these people that have produced and have maintained the best spot in Baja. And even I just might be there as self-appointed pool table and customer service hostess. ;) It's very easy to find Las Rocas and it is a mirror 2 1/2 hours from LA if you drive early in the morning. ALSO, I SUGGEST PARKING YOUR CAR IN THE SECURE, PARKING AND HIRE A TAXI CAB TO GET AROUND. SAFEST WAY WHILE VISITING MEXICO. ASK FOR JIMMY. HE IS A LONGTIME DRIVER AND QUITE A CHARACTER. While visiting Las Rocas, you may want to walk up to the highway and go to the right to find some of the best street tacos at K38 taco stand as well as there is a nice little convenience market and surf shop. Also, there is a pharmacy and some of the best coffee as well as a brewery with great food and live music. I could go on but it's best that you just book a room and go down and see for yourself. It is so close, but you really feel worlds away. Enjoy.

My boyfriend and I spent one night here in a Gaviotas suite for our anniversary and had an amazing time. Our package included two 30 minute massages which were lovely, a credit toward dinner which was delicious (lots of fresh seafood choices), a credit toward breakfast which was also very fresh and tasty, and a free bottle of wine with dinner. We spent some time in the infinity pool, had some drinks at the bar, and enjoyed the incredible views of the ocean. The service was fantastic-- everyone was so kind and attentive. Highly recommend!

    Sheets were dirty.

We have been here multiple times and we have never been in a room that was filthy like the one we had. Apparently the rooms on the right side of the resort are the "basic" rooms. We have always stayed on the left side "suites" and have always had a good experience. Extremely disappointed with the experience.

A $3.50 Uber to an Incredible Massage…read more I was on a June sold out cruise. This is absolutely "not" a code word massage location. This is a legitimate rejuvenating experience. It was two women traveling but we are used to international travel. This was my 10+ plus cruise to Ensenada but my first massage exploration. There's so much to do here. Q: Is Ensenada Massage worth leaving the cruise port? Absolutely. If you have several hours in port, this was one of the best ways to spend them. I was able to enjoy a fantastic massage and still had enough time to get my nails done elsewhere before returning to the ship. Q: Should I book through the cruise line? No. Make your reservation directly with Ensenada Massage. The ship's "excursion" prices don't even compare. Save your money and invest in yourself. Q: What's the easiest way to get there? Take an Uber. It was only about $3.50 each way, and the driver picked us up and dropped us off right at the port entrance. You still have to walk to the ship another 5-7 minutes.Don't pay the extra transportation fee through the massage company or ship. It's not within walking distance from the cruise terminal, but Uber made it effortless. One extra tip: I walked about 7-10 minutes from the gangway to the Hotel Corona and requested my Uber from there. Wait time was under five minutes. Q: How was communication with Ensenada Massage? Excellent. They were very responsive on WhatsApp and answered every question quickly. Although they offered to reserve through WhatsApp, I felt more comfortable booking online with my credit card instead of using my debit card. Q: Can groups book together? Yes! I booked a couples massage even though we were just friends because it was easier to coordinate than making two separate appointments. They can even accommodate four people at the same time. Q: Which massages did you choose? I booked one deep tissue massage and one hot stone massage. They also offer several optional upgrades for around $10 each if you want to customize your experience. Q: How was the massage itself? High fives. Two snaps. Hip bump. Cha-ching. The therapists may be petite, but don't let that fool you. Their hand strength was incredible. From the warm greeting to the end of the session, the experience was professional, relaxing, and absolutely worth it. Q: What was the facility like? It was clean, safe, and well sanitized. No, it isn't a luxury spa with marble floors and stained-glass windows, but everything was comfortable, professional, and exactly what I wanted. I would happily return. Q: Is this safe for first-time visitors to Ensenada? Yes. If you've traveled internationally before, this will feel very easy to navigate. Even if it's your first visit to Mexico, I found the experience straightforward and felt comfortable throughout. Final tip: Skip the cruise ship spa. Make your reservation directly, call an Uber, relax, and head back to the ship feeling completely rejuvenated. *Bilingual English/Spanish If you try these tips, I'd love to hear how they worked for you! There were two mini vans waiting and my bf and I were able to sit in our own transportation vehicle. After a short ride, we waited for a bit and were led to the couple room next to the waiting room. The issue with this was that we can hear the customers waiting outside talking. We had to ask the masseuses to ask the customers to lower their voices. My masseuse was a female and she was so strong! I was almost to the point where it was intolerable but I powered through! She took out a lot of knots! Great massage for the price point and people were super friendly. The driver took us to a spot in Ensenada that we wanted to tour so I was glad that she was accommodating. I would definitely come back again!
