I have been here a few times, the kids love it. There can be a bit of an issue with a language barrier if you don't speak Spanish but very easy to order still. I did have questions about some dishes I wasnt able to figure out but no biggie. They take credit card which is nice and have a huge selection of drinks my kids love the Mexican Coke. I usually get a few tacos and chips, my oldest loves the huge burritos and they can feed her for two meals. The meat is always tender and flavorful. The worst experience over the phone. I called just to place a simple order (I just wanted a chicken quesadilla), and I got cut off by the lady on the other end, who said I have to give her my card information before I even place my order. First off that is crazy because I used to call and order. Normally, if your order passed $50 they would ask you for your card information Which is understandable. I told her no I won't give her my card information because I'll be paying in cash. She tells me "no because people call to make orders and they never come to pick up the order" It's not my problem some people can't pick up their order. I'm calling because y'all take so long to ring up people and make the food, y'all work sooooo slow and y'all just stand there and talk while there's a long line of customers. Found tacos close to the street tacos I get back home! Came to visit my cousin and she brought us to this place and it hit the spot! I haven't had my taco craving satisfied in months but this place did the job. They offer tacos, tortas, quesadillas and burritos among other things. The carne asada tacos were delicious as was the torta we got (the bread is nice and toasty on the outside but soft on the inside). The tortilla's are home made and you can really taste the difference. They also have a salsa bar with all the fixings including radish which is a must-have for me. So I was originally coming to this shopping center to have Pho but decided I would try a new place. I ventured inside of Las Tortas Locas and was not disappointed. They have enough seating for about 80 folks inside. In the middle of the restaurant is a very nice Salsa bar with 16 different types of salsa, crema, hot pickled vegetables, onions, limes, pico de Gallo and other goodies. It seriously was one of the best looking bars like this that I'd seen in a while. Everything was very fresh and in the 30 minutes or so that I was in the restaurant, I saw the employees come by to clean and check on it twice, and this was at 2pm on a Tuesday afternoon. The menu consists of Tortas (Mexican sandwiches), tacos, burritos, Huaraches (which is kind of an open faced sandwich with fried or baked Masa as a base), quesadillas, and flautas ( which are like fried taquitos with toppings). I had the flautas de carne ( steak) and because I didn't know how big the order was and because my eyes were bigger than my stomach, I also ordered 2 tacos.. One de barbacoa ( shredded beef) and one de carnitas ( roasted pork chunks). Everything I ate was fantastic! I totally could have just had the flautas. They were super yummy with cotija cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, and crema on top. I added some of the salsas and squeezed lime on top!! So YUM!!! The tacos were big and really tasty with lots of meat topped with onions and cilantro. The corn tortillas were fresh and fluffy and good. The prices are good, especially for the amount of food you get. Now, one thing I will caution is that you need to brush up a little on your Spanish because for everybody here, that is their primary language. Make sure you at least know how to say for here ( para aqui) or for carry out ( para llevar) and that you brush up on your numbers. Workers here only care about gossiping. I was here for almost for almost an hour. They got my order wrong 3 times. I asked for a milanesa with just carne and frijoles. First time they put everything on it. Second time it had no beans but cheese. Third time it had no beans. And every time the ladies that were barely working wanted to complain. Very simple sandwich and they couldn't even get that right. The cashier was especially unhelpful. I would recommend the one in sandy springs over this location. read more

I do love some Las Tortas for a quick bite - if you're not familiar the torta is a sandwich and Last Tortas is where you should buy them! My favorite is the campesina - grilled steak, Mexican sausage and pepper - this thing is big and frankly awesome. Try it with the cream green sauce (I think it's avocado and jalapeno puree?) The combination of flavors and textures will do you right. And of course a horchata to drink - don't leave without one of those. read more

I love Las Tortas Locas. It's one of my favorite chain Mexican restaurants. That's saying a lot since I'm so sick of Mexican food right now (as of Dec 9, 2012). Currently, I only know of 2 Las Tortas Locas: one in Roswell Rd and one here, off of Pat Mell Rd. They are both authentic and serve good food. One of the reasons I love Las Tortas Locas is because of their Pastor spit. Las Tortas Locas is one of the few places I know that has an authentic spit for their Pastor. I suggest you to try their Tacos Al Pastor con Pina. The Pina (pineapple) costs about $1-2 extra, but it is worth it. And it traditionally goes good with the Pastor. The tacos come with double layer of corn tortilla. The tortillas are not homemade but oh well. As long as the bag it comes from is good, it doesn't really matter. Plus, it makes the tacos a bit cheaper. The spit makes a big difference. The Pastor is grilled nicely and gives a great flavor. If you like Shawarma, I suggest you try the Pastor cooked this way. Their tortas taste good too. They are huge and packed with good stuff. I got the egg and ham torta, and it tasted good. It came with some veggies, ham, eggs, and avocado. I love how they put avocado in their sandwiches. It gives an extra fatty and creamy texture. This location has employees that speak English. She did not have any problem communicating with me in English. The guy in the kitchen, not so much. But he still calls out the number in English. read more

Discovered this place near my job in Doraville. I Went there just about everyday, I was addicted. I was ecstatic to find out there's a location just 5 min from my home!!! Affordable, great portions, and flavorful food. My go to is that taco salad with a side of queso. I'm so happy that they have added fish tacos to the menu, my oldest daughter is a pescatarian. I was excited to give this place a shot because a friend told me it was the best spot in all of Atlanta. It has a very authentic feel as well. I ordered 2 pastor tacos and 1 asada taco with a glass of horchata. The pastor tacos were excellent but I felt that the asada taco was lacking flavor. Luckily the salsa bar helped solve that problem. This place is an absolute hidden gem in South Cobb that rivals any Mexican restaurant found on Buford Hwy. I stopped by on a Saturday when they opened and there was a line and a constant flow of traffic. They offer a wide range of tacos, tortas (which I ate), burritos, etc all using fresh made to order ingredients. The fresh salsa bar is available to add an extra hit of flavor to your dish. My chicken torta was on a nice airy bread loaf filled with tomatoes, lettuce, and mayo (not an obnoxious helping either). It was accompanied by crisp tortilla chips. I dont know if I am reading the reviews correctly, but service? No. My brother and I have heard/passed by this place multiple times and read the reviews and were interested in going here. My brother has a friend that also told us a lot about this place and frequents it quite often. We went in and it was as expected. It had the nice salsa bar and everything. It was clean for the most part. Some people were ordering so we were stood by the the table to look at the menu, I do not speak Spanish so that may be where our problem was. When we were ordering the women looked us in the face as if they couldn't understand us. They also all gathered by the register and just laughed at us as we ordered. I wouldn't laugh knowing my restaurant had a food rating in the 80s. The food was pretty good, but I would suggest tacos la villa on 41 they have a better product anyways. read more

Came here last week with my father and we both loved it! Lots of meat on the tortas and I loved their salsa bar with all of the different salsa options. My favorite salsa is one that looks creamy and green (almost like a very blended version of guacamole), it's the best. I got a torta with steak and cheese and my dad got a huarache. I thought this would be a good time to update my review, having been back a few times. I can say two things definitively about Las Tortas Locas: 1) You will leave uncomfortably full of awesome authentic Mexican food. 2) Unless you are a glutton for punishment your bill will be under 10 bucks. My favorite thing that they do has to be the the tortas. My usual is the texana. Imagine a cheese-steak on freshly made crunchy bread with jalapenos, queso fresco and bacon. It's beyond good. Some other contenders are the chicken flautas which are piled high with lettuce and salsa verde from the salsa bar. The tacos are also great, but a little less of a value. 3 tacos will run up a higher tab than a torta and will be less filling. Also make sure to try the horchata, it is epic here. The amount of spices and vanilla they use almost remind me of a less thick egg nog. read more

It's in a small plaza with other Hispanic businesses and restaurants. You'll completely pass by this plaza if you blink too long coming off of South Cobb Drive. I love all Tortas Locas locations but this one is the closest to home, so I am writing my review here. I've been going to this restaurant 5 years now and it doesn't get old. I love chicken flautas...they are delicious and huge! and the "huarache of carne asada". Its authentic and it reminds me of a little place back home in Guadalajara Mexico. I also try to order tacos al pastor every time I go, at least 1, but you have to add pineapple and cheese to make it greasy and great! The sauce bar is great, many options to choose from and the hot sauces are tasteful as well. I recommend Tortas Locas to all my american friends whenever they ask for an authentic mexican place. Best fast food mexican place ever! More authentic than the Americanized Mexican restaurants they have nowadays. You MUST try there "tacos de pastor" (pork tacos) The sauce is very mild, not spicy at all, and the meat is not douched in sauce, seems to be a little dried and marinated! It's just perfect! Like a previous reviewer said, you have to order it with grilled pineapple and melted cheese! Delish! My taste buds are watering just thinking about it! The salsa bar is loaded with different salsa's, marinated onions, etc to top off your dish. Their drink options is more authentic than any other. They have many different Mexican soda's and "aqua's". Our favorite is "Auga de Horchata". For those of you who don't know what it is, it tastes like melted cinnamon vanilla ice cream! I'm giving you 3 stars because you disappointed me. I use to go EVERY Saturday to eat a Torta and horchata. The food amazing, the service amazing just everything in general amazing. But now when I went I had to wait an HOUR, yes you heard that right, an HOUR. Do you know how LONG an hour is? Thats like 60 minutes or 3600 seconds. Thats A LOT of seconds. You guys use to be my go to place to eat but now I can't even look at you. You disappointed me, DISAPPOINTED ME. I can NEVER and I mean NEVER look at you the same. I hope you can go back to your old ways and drop what you have become. You will always have a place in my heart but for now I just can't look at you the same. First time stopping in here. Ordered a single chicken taco and the texana tortas. Both came out quickly. The taco was super tasty and I normally shy away from ordering chicken at most Mexican restaurants because I've just not been a fan of how it comes. But not here , I'd order the chicken tacos again no question. The Tortas was super tasty. The bread was soft and flavorful and was perfect for what was ticked in between. I couldn't find a review for this location of Las Tortas Locas and wanted to add it for all the folks in the Marietta & Smyrna area who can't quite make it to Roswell Rd. during their lunch break. The staff was very friendly and the torta ( la Nortena) was super fresh and tasty, especially when it was washed down with an agua de Jamaica. My ears were even satisfied as we listened to Mana in the dining area. The only unpleasant surprise was finding out that they do not accept credit cards or debit cards. There is a bit of a language barrier but one lady spoke English so I was able to order. I came at lunch time so my order took about 10-15 min but it was worth it for such yummy food. Just cause I've worked here I feel like I can give an honest opinion and my opinion is that the service has kind of been slacking, the cashier girls always seem to be mad at the world. The food on the other hand still has that lickin' finger taste but it has also gone down on portions. Best thing to do is order in person because they always seem to get my food wrong when I order through the phone. read more
