Very solid food. It is a simple place, the other side is a laundromat, but I was there for the food and not my wash. The staff was helpful and willing to turn my burrito into a breakfast burrito. They do have a couple of breakfast options, but it doesn't appear that they have leaned into breakfast as much as I had hoped, that is on me. They added the eggs to the steak burrito, which qualified as breakfast for me. Overall it was a good burrito, solid flavor and a good wrap. I also tried their chicken tamale. This was really good. I just had the BEST street tacos that I've had in a LONG TIME! I normally go to the Taco truck but today I tried Js Snackland and now I want to try the menu! When we entered, a sweet Hispanic lady came out and took our order after a minute or two as we stared at the menu trying to decide. I had 3 gorditas (not so much like what you'd imagine at Taco Bell): pastor, pollo chicharron, and chorizo. These thick, enclosed corn tortillas were interesting. There was a decent amount of meat, but sort of like mini street tacos, you have to order more to get full. 3 of em was decent. The pastor was the best as it was more filling with the meat type. The pollo chiicharron was interesting with what seemed like fatty parts (of like pigs). The chorizo was okay: not too oily nor dry. The hubs had the al pastor (?) burrito. It was a hearty sized burrito with rice, beans, lettuce, cheese, sour cream, and pico de gallo. The flavors weren't overwhelming. The burrito was actually a bit saucy without even adding additional sauces. I'd say the overall rating for me is 3 1/2 stars, but this gets rounded up to a 4. read more

I heard about this restaurant so decided to try them out. As I walked in I noticed that one side is the restaurant, the other a dry cleaner and in the back a laundromat. There was one lady working all 3; so I had to wait for her to finish at the dry cleaners to come over to the restaurant to take my order and cook the food. Always fast service and really good food! While there are several taco spots on the same street, I've tried them all and J's Snack Land is the best. Allow me to point out the difference in the TASTE of the meat. It's actually marinated not just sprinkled with seasoning. The other taco spots seem to only season their meat and without the salt and pepper the meat is pretty tasteless. Another reason I prefer J's snack land is their salsa. Again, it has FLAVOR, not just heat like other places but their salsas tastes so good! This is a clever setup. They operate a restaurant, & laundromat, & dry cleaners in the same building. So I used to love this place. They give you authentic tacos because there is a catch. They charge different ever time you go, and they're deceptive about it. Warning!! DO NOT GO THERE! Every time we went there was a different charge. I do not speak Spanish but my husband does and he asked "why do we get a different price?" It was explained to us that you are entitled to one salsa pot per person. I mean... it's a teaspoon sized load of salsa in the pot - so we get 4 each to cover 4 tacos each. Fair? So apparently, they add money to the cost of the food if they've given you too much and you take 1 teaspoon of salsa more than you should. Be very careful when you go there. The food is good, but they never give you a price breakdown and each person gets a different price. Call it tax, tip or just a sly way to get money. I'm so upset with this place. read more

All three were absolutely amazing, but I recommended the al pastor if you for some reason have to choose one. These corn tortillas are unbelievable and so soft. Guac and chips- I want to say I saw them preparing this fresh. If they didn't, it tasted that way! Salsa bar (which was very clean and everything looked and tasted SO fresh)- I got medium salsa, which was like a salsa verde, pickled jalapeños and onions and a couple limes to squeeze over my food. This place has the best burritos I've ever had - perfect blend of flavors (I recommend the steak). Everything else I've had has been delicious as well. Staff is very nice and appreciates returning customers! Aim to get your food togo if you visit at a peak lunch time. I'd recommend getting there at 11:30 if you want to find a seat for lunch. Cant place my finger on what it is... but something just tasted off about everything. About half way through eating, I finally decided to just throw it out once I found a strand of hair in my burrito.
