The staff like always, amazing and very friendly. The sandwich itself so cheesy, spicy, and moist. Food was good but portion size for the price was ok not worth it quantity was a little bit.

I had the Cubana, and it was incredible. The ingredients were on point and the staff was professional. The place was clean and the menu was very easy to read and comprehend. The tortas are overpriced by like $2 and the drinks are too. My torta could have used some spice, but they didn't have any hot sauce to offer such as Tabasco and those other spices. Found this little place the other day and went for it since I love trying new places. Boy I was not disappointed whatsoever. All they have to eat here are tortas, but oh man they are awesome for sure! Been here twice now and will continue coming back often. They have lots of mexican beverages like horchata and fruit drinks. The best part of that is that they are not oversugared like most places have them. Honestly they taste just like you get them in Mexico. So far have tried the borracha and hawiana. Personally I think the hawiana is the best of the 2, but not by much. Awesome Tortas. Best Tortas in Colorado. Reminds me of So Cal and eating the tortas there. My family wants to eat here every weekend it's that good. The bread is awesome, fresh and so are the toppings. They have so many choices of tortas to choice from. The Double Asada is my favorite so far. The Hawaiian is my second favorite. Worst service I've ever experienced. Placed an order online realizing that it was for the wrong location. Contacted business immediately and informed them not to make the food and if there was a way to refund money. Girl on phone informed me once the order was confirmed that it couldn't be refunded. I asked to speak to a manager, she stated no manager was there, I asked her name, she told me she wasn't giving that information. I then asked her to take my information and have a manager call me. While she was on the phone she proceeded to talk crap about a HUMAN MISTAKE in Spanish thinking that because I have a white name that I don't understand, unfortunately for her I'm completely fluent in both English AND Spanish. I contacted my bank to stop payment which will take 10 business days. I guess the fact that we are in the middle of a pandemic, and that the majority of things are take out ONLY doesn't leave any room for human decency. What a pathetic excuse for a business model. I will be waiting for a call from management and from there file an actual claim with the BBB following contact. I love this place. It's right on the corner of the small Walmart on 88th and Washington. Every time I've walked in there, it's always clean, the staff is usually pretty nice, and I believe they finally put a menu in there that's in English. (98% sure) it's cool because they make it fresh right in front of you and the food is great! I've never got something undercooked, dry, burnt, or anything negative, always good fresh food and their drinks always come cold in glass bottle from Mexico. My only complaint is they're very expensive. Can't complain too much considering the food is great, but if you're buying a co-worker or family member lunch, you might as well go to a sit down restaurant because you're going to pay close to $30 for 2 Tortas and 2 drinks. I have been getting these tortas for 5yrs now, they wrap in foil so they stay nice and hot. the only down side is you will be hooked once you start eating these things. As a full Latina I have grown up eating mexican food my whole life. I love spicy food, and will never eat any type of seafood. I am always opened to try new places even if they look sketchy or not the usual type of places to eat. If the bathroom is dirty I will simply not use it but will be disgusted and maybe mention something about it. The smell of different delicious meat cooking in Las Tortugas and seeing the kitchen with a window where I can see my food cooking was absolutely amazing. Walking in I notice the amazing smell of meat cooking and Banda Ms playing, all my favorite mexican tracks are playing which gets me to sing inside my head while I am waiting for my milanesa torta ($8.99). The place is lonely around 3:30 but from what I have heard from students that go to school around, it gets busy around 11-12. The place is small but comfy, the stools and tables are tall which gives you a boost of confidence. Tv is hung up playing Univision, there is a menu hung up taking over almost half a wall. Tables need some quick cleaning but other than that this place is great. Server is nice, she took my order and then saw as she put on her gloves and apron to go cook it herself, a man minutes later came to help her and he carefully packed the torta so nothing would fall out when I took a bite. Everyone was super generous and careful with my order. I have no complaint towards the service. Overall I would absolutely recommend Las Tortugas because not only is the food delicious and well packed but the place is small and comfortable. read more
