Stopped in for a work lunch this week. Never been here and was looking forward to trying it. They have a couple parking lots as it seems to be super busy during lunch! We were greeted right away and sat quickly. The hostess and server were both very nice. We were given chips n salsa immediately and we ordered a taco salad and cheese enchiladas with rice (I don't like beans so none for me). They were both good and filling! I came here earlier today to pick up an order. The worker told me I went to the wrong store but they could give me my order and he would call the store to cancel the order. Then I placed a new order and while I was waiting they told me I would have to contact uber. After I contacted uber, I was not given a refund. It's really shady when they say they'll cancel it for you, then after you pay for a new order, they say you have to cancel it yourself. The whole thing is super shady and I'll never come back here again. I'll also be sure my family members and friends who frequent the establishment to never eat here again. We like Las Delicias 80 or 90% of the time. Our last visit wasn't that great though. The steak fajitas were tough, hard to chew. They do give you a ton of food but the quality was missing at our last visit. I hope they do better. Their bean burritos are always good though but apparently not the fajitas. read more

We come here once a week. Best green chili and menudo in the city! I get a Mexican hamburger and add pork to my green chili. The pork is so tender and peels apart, so flavorful. Makes my mouth water writing this. My daughter loves their burritos and rice! Fire crispy chili relleno! Best service and servers! I used to come to this restaurant when I was a little girl. It was just a very small place and this was back in 1983. When I went in it is not what I remember but it seemed larger than I remember. Food amazing, it tastes just like when I was little. It brought back so many memories of my family. The bean burrito with green chili is what I got. So delicious!!! Recently, I moved back to CO after ten years away and got to enjoy a meal at Las Delicias, with my husband, who also grew up eating at Las Delicias frequently! Las Delicias is traditional Mexican food done well! Our family has been eating here for 35 years. Their four locations are no frills but provide consistent good food. Las Delicias provides the basics (tacos, burritos, tostadas rellenos...). Their combination plates provide various options that are customizable, smothered with flavorful green or red chiles. The food comes out very quick which is the model of the business, good food done fast. The salsa has a nice kick and the chips are fresh. No tap beer available a slight drawback. The atmosphere is simple with a simple Mexican flare. The staff is moving quickly to turn tables over. There's lots of competition in the Denver area for Mexican food. Friends tell me that the restaurant/chain is past their prime but I've yet to find a place that is hands down better, comparable maybe. read more

Probably some of the worst and least flavorful Mexican food I've ever been had in Colorado. The green chili has no seasoning other than salt and the beans are nearly non-existent, even when you order a bean burrito. They only have one version of green chili, rather than mild, medium or hot. I'm not sure what people see in this place other than the chips and salsa. Service was decent but our waitress did forget a drink we ordered and we had to keep asking for refills of water. Ambiance was okay, but it took us ten minutes to get seated since no one was managing the front entrance. Will not be returning. read more

Oh wow ! We heard they had good burritos so we dropped in on a Sunday evening... My hubby had the 3 bean burritos and it cam smothered in green chili and lots of cheese... more than enough to also bring home plenty for tomorrow I had the 3 enchiladas with rice and beans .. cheese , chicken and ground beef... it was delicious and I also had plenty to take home for lunch The very best part of our dinner was our server... she was amazing!. Lala was so good , she made recommendations to us (like picking the skinny margarita rather than the blended ) and picking the 3 burrito plate was more value than the 2 burrito plate ... I've heard nothing but good things about the Las Delicias chain, but it didn't quite live up to the hype. I like this location and the amazing view of Denver you get while driving in. The parking lot fills up fast, but there is a bigger lot across the street for overflow. The service was friendly and to the point although we would've liked to have been seated away from the bustling kitchen entryway. Chips and Salsa, and Guac. Good stuff. The salsa wasn't shockingly spicy and the guacamole was fresh and tasty. It would've been nice to know that the guacamole was $8 though when the waitress offered it to us. Pork Carnitas Burrito. A decent size for $11. Not the biggest I've seen, but it was jam packed with tender pork carnitas and smothered in a yummy green chile. However, the pork wasn't all that flavorful and it got boring after a few bites since there was nothing else in the burrito. Meh. It's easy to fill up on chips and salsa before even getting your food, so be aware! My go too has always been the carnita plate but I've tried to limit my pork intake over the years so I decided to try something else! The food always comes out quick. The margs are usually yummy and STIFF. I ordered the chicken nachos and goodness gracious it was like I hit the nacho mother load. The plate was loaded with deliciousness. Juicy flavored chicken, refried beans, melted cheese, heaps of sour cream and guac. The entire nacho stockpile was placed under the broiler to give it nice color. My only gripe is they canned jalapeño's. I'd prefer fresh ones. I ordered a cold Modelo which was served with a frozen glass. I love it so much! The only thing that hung me up about it on this go is that the booths are not plus size friendly. My Husband and I have been eating here once a week, for a few months. We really love the smothered bean burritos but we have tried other things as well. The chili rellenos and enchiladas are disappointing... lacking both freshness and flavor. There may have been a tablespoon of cheese in my relleno and Im guessing that they probably make them and freeze them to save time on meal preperation. I tried the shredded chicken nacho supreme, a few days ago and the shredded chicken has a very unappealing color and flavor! I'm pretty sure they freeze that chicken as well and thaw as needed. I took my Daughter with me to eat lunch a couple weeks ago and she ordered the smothered bean and chicherrone burrito and couldn't even finish it. The chicherrones were as hard as rocks and she said the flavor of them was not good either. NOW,... What I love about the place is the very fast service and friendly waitstaff. I guess that's the biggest reason we eat there, but I'll tell ya...Some fresh, hot tortilla chips, served with their delicious salsa would bring in more business. The prices have increased in the last couple of years but I am not complaining since the food has always been great for twenty years. However tonight, Friday July 21st at 7:45 when we began eating our takeout, we noticed there was less Meat in the burritos and no refried beans which had been requested upon placing the order. Further, as you can see from the chili rellenos photo, there is very little cheese. We called the restaurant and the manager said he has no control over what the kitchen puts in the food. I reminded him that that is the job of the manager to manage the kitchen and restaurant. He was very argumentative and did not even suggest that they may have made a mistake. Ordered 3 smothered burritos and there was barely any green chili on them. The "manager" came to the table and said they do one scoop of green chili on the 3 burritos and I pointed out that they had none, so he told me I would have to pay for green chili. I asked, "why do I have to pay for green chili when I ordered smothered, but they're not smothered in the first place?" He then points to one small corner of my burritos and says, "I see green chili right there." Wtf!? It's literally a 1/4 teaspoon of green chili at the end of the burrito. He asked again if I wanted to pay for some and also said next time I come he suggests that I ask for extra and pay for it. I suggest they smother them in the first place or take "smothered" off the damn menu! They have several locations and can't be hurting financially to the point where they can't afford to put a sufficient amount of green chili on a burrito. Absolutely ridiculous!!! Needs Improvement on respectful and clear communications. Our large party of 14, spoke twice to Virginia about coming in after a high school graduation. We were assured BOTH times that we would be able to be accommodated. At arrival, of course... not the case! I've been coming here for 5+ years and I can confidently say it is THEE best Mountain Mex food in the Denver metro. They do have another, newer location in Uptown, but there's something about this location that's so authentic and unique. I came here yesterday for an early dinner (around 5:30) and we only waited 15 minutes to get a table on the patio. We waited in the car and they called my cell to let us know when the table was ready which was super nice of them! I have to mention that the service here is ALWAYS great and the food is always amazing as well! You can typically expect your food within 10 minutes, but don't quote me on that since I avoid busy times mostly. July 22,22 My man and I decided to go have dinner someplace different than our usual spot so we chose the spot we walked in there were five people standing waiting for us to walk in two out of the five said hello the owner took us back to the booth Satis down so that our waitress will be right with us.A Nice young man brought chips and salsa, we sat seven minutes without no beverage mind you it's hotter than shit outside , The nice young man came back over and said our waitress would be with us shortly again no water was offered or brought to our table we did have our menus out the waitress finally did come over asked us what we would like to drink and if we were ready to order I said no we were not ready to order but that we would take two beverages from the bar two glasses of water and guacamole as an appetizer she left with a little bit of an attitude came back with the guacamole first, guacamole look like it had come out of a bag and it tasted like it came out of a bag I had to add salt and pepper and salsa to it to make it taste good and I did not bring more chips for the guacamole... Finally our beverages came then the order was taken for our food the waitress was not very friendly or nice ! Our food was cold came out very quickly from when I order was taken! We ate our food without any complaints because we were hungry and it was hot outside we did not wanna go any place else! The waitress checked on us maybe twice but walked by us plenty of times the bus boy checked on us but never took any dirty plates from the table ! This place is really gone downhill I will never return to this place again I spoke with the owner and manager they apologized and gave me a 10% discount on my ticket even after I showed them a picture of the dirty booth that they sat me in and ask them if they would've appreciated sitting in that booth and they said no!
