    Fiesta Plate
    Ashley S.

Decided to stop by Las Trojans again. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted and seated. Our waiter came by immediately and asked us what we wanted to drink. While I appreciate his promptness, since I was still looking over the drink menu, I asked the waiter if he could go ahead and bring waters. He left for a few minutes and came back and asked if we were ready to order. Not sure why he didn't bring out any waters when I asked him to. So after he put in our margarita order and brought them out, that's when he finally brought our waters. I decided to order the Fiesta plate which came with steak, shrimp, chicken, rice, onions, and cheese dip. For added flavor, I added green peppers. My friend ordered the Miguel's pizza. The food was served very quickly. My dish was pretty tasty and seasoned well. I will also add, it's a lot of food. My only negative about the dish was the steak. It was somewhat chewy. My friend really enjoyed his pizza and said it tasted really good. It was a pretty decent size. All in all, good visit today. Will visit again and try something else especially since they have plenty of food options on their menu.

    Enchiladas Special (pork, chicken, shrimp)

Waitresses are friendly. Service is fast and on pint, the food was decent. I had the Chimichanga special which consisted of shrimp, beef, and chicken chimichangas. They were all Decent, I was surprised the shrimp chimichanga was good. Probably the best one out of all of them. Service 4.5* Food 3.5*

    Horchata and Blue Pacific Margarita

Service was great. Drinks, including Blue Pacific Margarita and Horchata were fantastic. Ambiance was ok, but the place looks a bit worn and in need of paint and cleaning. Food was no good. Combination 23 was edible but not enjoyable. Carnitas tasted like dry dog food. The kids chicken quesadilla was 1/3 filled with cheese and chicken and mostly empty tortilla. I may come back for drinks some time, but will never eat here again.

Frozen Margarita. Promoted as half price. Bought at full price.

The best thing about this restaurant was the fantastic DJ and bingo that we played throughout the night. I ordered a taco salad with beef. Let me preface it by saying that we were a party of eight. My taco salad was not delivered until about 10 minutes after everyone else's had been. When it was, it was strictly lettuce, ground beef, shredded cheese. I had to ask for the pico de gallo, guacamole and sour cream. The sour cream never was delivered. Very disappointing. I ordered w Margarita because the sign up front said that it was half price between 4:00 and 8:00pm. Because mine was frozen, at least that was the explanation that was given to me, I had to pay $13.85. Again, very disappointing. Our DJ saved the night with bingo and singo. Unfortunately we didn't win but we had fun doing that. Oh, and last but not least, I should have ordered the night's special which was under $14 and three times the size of my little itty bitty taco salad which was almost $15. Sad.

The best Mexican food I've ever had. And bring your appetite because the portions are enough for two.

Standard Mexican food and average margaritas. The hostess was not very friendly, however our waitress was nice. It's just ok.

ORIGINAL REVIEW I stopped by and had a Cuban Papa Rellena (look it up), it was delicious but a little on the high side in pricing. Chef was a Cuban Lady and she made me feel right at home. Need to go back and eat some real food and not just an appetizer. Has the potential to be very good if it doesn't break your wallet!

I was greeted fairly quickly when I entered and guided to a seat with a menu and silverware. A few minutes later, the server (was bilingual) came out and asked for what I wanted. I received my salsa and chips at this time. The salsa was pretty watery and lacked spice or much flavor. It was nothing special, and chips seemed like they were made a long time ago. Looking at the menu, it seemed like a typical Mexican restaurant though I was a little disappointed that the street tacos didn't have many options. I was a little inclined to think after looking at the menu that it was more Tex Mex. They did seem to have a nice deal for aguas frescas with two glasses for under $3. That's pretty unheard of here in HSV. I ended up ordering 3 pastor tacos. I received food fairly quickly. The street tacos have a large amount of cilantro and raw onions, but not as much meat as I had hoped for. The red sauce served on the side wasn't very spicy and had more of a smokiness. Not sure I had the experience I wanted. I had to wait a bit after finishing my food to get my check or even see the waiter. If I come back, I'll try the aguas frescas.
