This is long over due review. I have been seeing Sonja for about two years and I love her. She always knows what I need for my hair.

I really wanted to have a good experience, but unfortunately, I left bawling my eyes out. I took some time before writing this review so that I wouldn't act on emotion. I went in early June to get my hair lightened and a layered cut from Lizzett. After washing my hair, I realized my hair was completely botched (to the point that another hair stylist asked if I cut and colored my own hair at home). The salon manager got me in for another haircut with a different stylist to fix the cut, but he had to cut off 6 inches to correct it. While I appreciate them comping the haircut, this doesn't change the fact that I paid $550 to hate my hair. I never even got an apology from the girl that ruined it in the first place. I gave two stars instead of one for the salon at least trying to remedy it. Unfortunately, you can't uncut hair and I know they won't be comping 2k worth of hair extensions, so I just have to wait for my hair to grow back. read more

High ceilings, ample lighting, and an energetic flow of people giving it a great vibe. If you need a haircut, I highly recommend scheduling with Amy Dao (@alluriaamy on Instagram)! This is my second time going to her, and she's so kind and hospitable. I normally just ask for lots of layers, curtain bangs, and gloss/toner. Although my requests are usually really simple, she always goes above and beyond to make sure I'm getting what I want and more :) At my recent appointment, she gave me a free Kerastase sample to use since I told her I was graduating soon. Love her! The vibe of this salon is so chic as well. It's extremely busy in the mornings, but it quiets down by late afternoon. I normally schedule my appointments in late afternoon and have never had a problem with the noise level. They also have TONS of great hair and skin products to sell! Osea, SkinCeuticals, Kerastase, Oribe, etc. If you follow their social media, you can sometimes run into some deals on their retail products. I was so drawn to her not only because of her amazing work, but because of the type of hair she works on. I'm Filipino and it's always been a struggle to find a hair stylist that can work with my hair (texture, color, etc). So I decided to give Edwina a try. The second you sit in her chair, you feel like you're bff's! Edwina is very kind and welcoming, and makes sure that you get exactly what you want! I showed Edwina a bunch on inspiration pictures off of her Instagram and she understood what I wanted. She carefully put the color into each and every strand, while having fun girl talk. And don't get me started on her scalp massages! They feel so amazing! Lastly, I love love love Edwina's haircuts. I have SUPER thick hair and it's always impossible for me to find a stylist who cuts my hair just the way I want it. She cuts my hair to the length I want, while keeping it light and not heavy. And months later, it grows in length but not thickness. I've never been so in love with a haircut in my life. At the end of it all, Edwina makes sure that the finished product is exactly what you want. And let me tell you, my hair was EXACTLY what I wanted. New to the area I happened to luck out finding Denille at Square Salon. The salon is really nice with fantastic selection of high end products. They also discount them all on the first Friday of every month (I think she said 25%!! - don't hold me to that :-). I've been getting my hair colored for years, but this color was outstanding. I came in with sad hair and left with beautiful brown, shiny hair with some amazing Carmel highlights. Denille listens and really cares about getting it exactly right for you. Prior to this visit i went to another hair stylist in las vegas at a different salon and had a not so good experience and i over pid for what i got !!! With that being said Finding a salon and hair stylist to be able to satisfy me has always been a challenge because im so picky lol The salon staff are so nice and greet you every time! So the first time i came across Shelly and Zoes work was on social media @shellygregoryhair i knew i had to book her to do my hair ;-) She was fully booked but Zoe managed to squeeze me in early and i was so excited!!!! When She did my hair the first time i was so blown away on how detailed she was and how much she cared about my hair it was like the best feeling i knew i was in good hands!!! Shelly was such a pleasant and humble person to be around while getting my hair done she also showed me the best products for my hair type and how i can use certain tools and products for my hair which i needed since im not too good with that stuff lol Besides that Zoe her assistant was super sweet and so gentle when working on my hair ;-) They did exactly what i wanted but better i was blown away it was beautiful! Let me mention again im very picky lol I love how soft my hair felt after and all the way up to the next visit it still looked amazing and that was after like 4-5 months lol im a very busy person!!! My second visit was just as amazing! The salon staff was again super nice they had redecorated since last time and it looked so nice. Again shelly and zoe blew me away with a new bob transfermation! Ive never had short hair and the way she cut it fit my face perfectly since i do have wavy hair naturally. I've been coming to Square for a few years now and I always ALWAYS go to Ashley Hambly. She's been doing my hair for about 4-5 years now, I believe. I won't go to anyone else for color. Ashley does an amazing job making sure that your hair is not damaged during the lightening process. I've been dying my hair blonde for many years now. I've also been wanting to go lighter and lighter each time. Unfortunately my hair does not like to lift (lighten) after 15 minutes or so, making it super tough to go lighter. If you try to push my hair and leave the lightener on after it stops lifting, it will get damaged. Ashley makes sure that doesn't happen. My hair feels and looks super healthy after a coloring/lighting session with Ashley and it makes me feel so good. I've gone to another artist before to lighten my hair and my hair looked great but it felt gummy. It took a while for my hair to get it's luster back after that. Browsing for a good quality salon after I got my hair damaged right before my wedding. It was my fault to get my hair color last minute and was not able to find any opening so I went to somewhere bad. I'm sooo happy to find Square Salon on IG. I called and booked an appointment with Sam. I got my haircut with Sam and in love with how light and pretty it is on my hair. So I recommend to my mom and now she loved her hair as well. She said she will have to get her hair cut here every time she visiting me. I cant wait for my other hair appointment with Sam. She's really good with what she does and would give you suggestions. She would not just do it because you ask but would tell you the pro/con or if it would fit with your look or lifestyle. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good quality salon. OMG this review is only for the terribly unprofessional front desk girl. My hairdresser was fine except she didn't bother telling me which salon she was going to be at as this was my first time meeting her. NOTE: There are TWO salons next to each other with same name. Back to the receptionist. I check in, and she is chewing gum with her mouth open!!! First off, who does that even if you're not at a place of work? Second, I ask her if my stylist is at the salon or next-door, but between the gum chewing and checking my name in the computer, it was too much work for her to answer my question!!!. Unbelievable I've never had customer service like this, and on top of that, none of the girls bother telling me "to have a seat and she'll be right with you" I waited 10 minutes and finally texted the the stylist directly which is what I should've done from the beginning. read more
