I…read morecalled 5 times in 2 weeks about a giant poop next to the toddler area by the butterfly garden. It took two weeks for them to remove it. How disrespectful to their own park and own butterfly garden that the fellows are working so hard on. Now that summer camp is starting, the park is probably going to be completely trashed. If you walk down to the trail, there's a garbage pile of compost and eggshells, avocado seeds, plastic scattered all over the trees. The unleashed dogs are a problem and i have to go in the office to tell them to speak with the dog owners. Its only a matter of time before something bad happens w the unleashed dogs. Im extremely disappointed in the new staff here.

It made us scared to open our mouths and accidentally swallow bugs. Seems like there was something about the playground that attracted so many bugs flying around the entire area. On the bright side, saw several lady bugs so that was interesting. But on the other, there were bugs I've never seen before and it for sure freaked out the rest of us since they were in our faces. We wanted to go check out the bathroom (saw none) and saw that the building looked like it hasn't been touched in many months (there was a sign that said SPLASH PAD *CLOSURE OFFLINE SUMMER 2024 // and a REOPENING IN SUMMER 2025) so that explains the abandoned/no-maintainence feeling of the park. Ontop of that, there were signs of caution for rattlesnakes in the area so if you have a fear of the following: snakes, spiders, mosquitos, bugs, I'd advise not to come here when it's summer time. (Maybe it's better in other seasons) Hopefully the environment of the park gets tended to. Til now, I don't feel like coming back due to the experience.

I…read morewas feeling depressed about not seeing or speaking to my daughter, my cars engine is broken and will cost me 5000, and not being able to go to class this week because of my situation! I told myself I will take the bus and come to see Mother Nature. While I was on my fast in January I booked marked these stair here so god spoke to me today and so I went. I needed to see the green, get fresh air and just get back into my own zone because of the funk I've been in. Being here help me think of good times I've been to stairs, or on a trails I've been on. People I've gone on hikes with or even loved ones for their first time. The views got me out of my own mind and really gave me clarity of where I should be and where I'm heading. God reveals all and have me see things which I appreciate the good and the bad. And it really shows me I need to be where I need to be. I am willing to take more adventures soon with the bus and just humbling myself as a post I posted on social media about me remaining with an open heart to see what life has to offer now. We love everything about the park - the grounds are well-maintained and clean, there's plenty of shade, lots of space for activities/fun, the restrooms are clean, no homeless, no need to constantly look over your shoulder to watch your back... this is what a park should be!
